Khenketha Nomhlobo Cultural & Heritage Experience 2023

As the country commemorated Heritage month in 2023, one of SABC’s national radio stations, Umhlobo Wenene FM, celebrated a shared heritage between IsiXhosa speakers from South Africa and Zimbabwe. Umhlobo Wenene broadcasts in IsiXhosa. To observe this historic milestone and commemorate 200 years of isiXhosa in written form, Umhlobo Wenene FM embarked on a symbolic journey to Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, one of South Africa's neighbouring countries in collaboration with VIB Mobile.
