Thank you, they were difficult to track down. Saw them leaving Wellington barracks on Sunday in a coach and no-one knew where they were going, then I ran into a Gurkha veteran in the tube station and asked him and he gave me the details. Well worth finding out about the event.
Another Great Mr B Production, this Time starring the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas. I remember watching a Documentary about The Brigade of the Gurkhas, it was fascinating. The relationship between the British Army & the Gurkhas goes way back & it gives a living example of what life must have been like as part of the Empire. There's a good part about the role Music plays in the Gurkhas of Nepal, although it's quite strange hearing the excellent Bagpipes & Drums, played in the Mountains & Villages of Nepal. The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas are Brilliant, they play British Army Military Music & also Western Pop Music, as good as any Military Band, but you can also hear the Oriental flavour of Nepal through it all, giving a unique sound that is the "Sound of the Gurkhas". They are highly respected by the British Armed Services & the Public alike, as Soldier/Warriors & also as a Band of the Armed Services. They are Brilliant & every bit as good as other Military Bands. As in everything else they do, their Pride & unshakeable Loyalty shines through. What a treat this Video is, Thank you Mr B for sharing it!!
That was special. Thank you MrB.
