What i want to tell you is make your enemy do what you want. Make a situation for it. Of course you should know how to play other characters.

Kaelin Middleton Then you can use 'guard cancel'. Shenlong has cancel points that can use qcf qcb skills in chain combos. My fav move is k-down+k )-back+p-(qcb, qcf p k b anything) and press guard to remove delay. Powerful and no frame loss. Try some guard cancel in chain.
It's not that hard. You just need to know the next attack of the opponent. For example, after Long or Shenlong's neutral K, the lower attack(↓P or ↓K) will come unconditionally, so you can easily prepare for the lower side step.
