Low poly isn’t low effort it’s just a nice style that allows us to do more work in a day instead of wasting 5 hours making one model and when low poly takes that long it’s usually a big model

I mostly just use hexagons as placeholders so that I know that particular function works and is actually useful before I make the real model

@@salzlord yeah, i think lowpoly can be beautiful and used very well, but the effort you put into a lowpoly map cant compare to a realistic map

I think the thing thats the most appealing to our eyes in this build is really the simplicity. None of the models are really complex enough to divert our attention, so they remain in the background. So your eyes are taking in a lot of stuff but since they do not catch them too much, the builder can make us focus on whatever they want, like the beams, portal, and gates. Also the fact that the style is really consistent makes it ever the more appealing.

This is my style of building and decorating. I just love all the details and the amount of stuff for decoration he has. I could just get lost for 45 min in there. It's gonna be a huge inspiration.

Tomato Sauce origin ism is a horror game but it uses low poly models and has really good lighting and atmosphere
I've been wondering how does the builder make the tree root (I assume that's what it is) wrap around the pillars? Is it possibly the "screw" modifier on blender? I've always done the wrap just by moving and rotating the faces and man is it difficult. 1:49
He did it by using a curve, and either the skin or solidify modifier!
