Love those cleric changes! 2 clerics of the same god can feel different! And I'm sure that will make subclass design so much easier for you! So pumped to play a healing cleric if fire, cauterizing wounds with holy fire
That Cleric change just made every other games cleric look like thay are built wrong. A fire cleric that heals with white flame, A Death cleric that protects(tanks) those whos time is not yet here, A Light cleric that shoots lazer beams that "purify" evil. Im hyped!

I would love to see swashbuckler be it's own class in this new system, I haven't loved it as a subclass in 5e as far as capturing the class fantasy but love what pathfinder has done with it.

Seriously can't wait for the release.🎉 Sorry if this has already been asked, but will there be a localized version for your German speaking fanbase? :) if not I will need to translate the most fundamental things for my players for when we will switch to DC20 mid 2025 (ONLY for my players ofc). Switching up the language for certain terms is kinda immersion breaking.
TO not pigeon hold any one for any reason you should give the option to change anything of charcter creation at a time. Either level up or a ritual for me long rest always feel the best unless its very core like a subclass or a species you let the player explore and try things out . as for the very extreme things a ritual or a side quest is nice to open up .
Question: what about little cantrip-like spells for shenanigans? Like, my personal gripe with DnD 5/2024 and PF2 is that if you pick combat-only cantrips your character essentially ends up looking like a walking turret. There's nothing wrong with this concept per se, a classic battle mage is always a welcome sight, but what if I or my players just want to mess up with somebody without a lasting effect? What if, say, they want to cast a small raincloud over someone's head, blow a harmless cloud of glitterdust, or create a couple of transparent magpies to entertain people? Can we somehow codify these little things, maybe as a universal flavor thing, that only serve to expand the whimzical theme of casters without necessarily forcing them to take things like Mage Hand or Minor Illusion (things that have an actual mechanical effect)?
