Poor animals suffer because of irresponsible humans 😡
Irresponsible? Not really, it’s more responsible to give up an animal if you can’t feed your own children. Prices for food are outrageous, that’s what you should be upset about. You know, the root of the problem.
@@snicole042 yes, irresponsible!
I have animals and they are not being surrendered the shelter!
Millions of Americans have animals not being surrendered to the shelter. Back yard breeding is irresponsible. Neglect is irresponsible. Giving up on a pet because “ you don’t have time for it” is irresponsible. Not spaying or neutering is irresponsible. Get off your high horse!
@@snicole042, if you can't afford to feed your kids, then don't have them! Your attitude works both ways.
Maybe because the number of people in California are becoming homeless. They can’t take care of them anymore.
@@snicole042 irresponsible humans in Congress have caused that issue.. irresponsible pet owners that don’t spay or neuter and humans that decide to buy purebreds instead of adopting have caused this issue. See the correlation in there, humans suck!
People need to be more responsible when taking on pets. It's not just a cute animal, it's work and responsibility!
Thank you for saying this.
Stop breeding and neuter
Please say it everyday for the next 2 decades because that's how often people have to hear it before it begins to sinks in.
You don’t even begin to understand the problem 😂
agree :)
There is 900 in Las Vegas in rescue,
Please people STOP breeding during this economic Recession.
I know for a fact these so-called shelters _never_ fully disclose where all their money goes. They will not even dare tell you what happens to an animal. Yet, they want people to blindly give them money! ASIDE: I do not know of one, even the humane societies, that does not use propaganda, telling people how they "rescue" animals and get them adopted, and in reality they kill way, way more than they ever adopt out. But, they have no problem accepting donations from the propaganda.
Anyone that wants to give money, volunteer, etc., find a true no-kill shelter!
Report the puppy mills!!
This! People are using them to make money.
Nobody is 'breeding' them, they get dumped on the street and the dogs breed with strays.
They need to stop breeding period!
With so many people losing their houses and apartments becoming homeless could this be another reason why the animal shelters are overcrowded ? The High Cost of living and inflation is out of control. 😭
Don't whine when you voted for biden. I've also mention this in years once the internet evolved. Don't cry when stores going out business, When you only support online shopping. Lost jobs etc and more homeless. Don't when you do dumb things especially voting for a m0r0n biden who open Border policy. We don't need more border hopper crimes. Shipped them all back. Trump 2024
It is my friend got a pup from some whom lost their home higher rents was reason
High cost of living and inflation is created on purpose. Follow the money.
No
You are confusing inflation with corporate greed. Corporations are gouging the hell out of people. Everyone is suffering because of it.
A pet is for life. Teach your kids responsibly.
Yeah, though idk the stories of the people who had to give up their pets and wouldn’t be so quick to judge personally. Many people who felt secure enough to own a pet have lost their job or home and could not get another in time, so they chose to give up their pets, a difficult decision.
Meanwhile, I’ve seen homeless people with pets that are clearly underfed, bones poking out and on death’s door.
I think I’d rather have people not keep pets they can no longer care for rather than keep them. People sadly can’t see into the future, so they can’t have known that their finances would go under.
Stop having 'just one litter' people! Spay or neuter, there are too many dogs right now. Adopting a dog the way to go. If you're not sure try a foster, no obligation but you get first dibs if you want to be their fur-ever home.
Only professional breeders who show for conformation have any business breeding. And only controlled litters.
@@deem7478Doeent matter. Their offspring still end up breeding and in the shelters.
Do you realize how hard some of these adoption/ rescues make it to adopt?
There’s no being on this earth that I love more than dogs and my son.
And I’m with you on adopting.
Here’s the problem with some of these rescue groups.
They are spaying and neutering before the dogs are skeletally sound.
They should not be doing that do any companion animal at 6-8 weeks old.
Ever.
That can cause severe deformities and bone issues/ cancers down the road.
In the adoption fee they just need to add a couple hundred dollars refundable when the adopter shows proof that the dog or cat has been fixed.
I have had dogs since I was very young. Multiples.
I put their needs way before anything else.
Including my own needs.
They all have Trupanion health insurance.
We use a huge veterinary hospital with excellent staff.
Take them to the vet for any little issues.
I check them head to toe for ticks, lumps and bumps.
I brush their teeth and cook for them.
I volunteer at a rescue that houses unadoptable dogs because of aggression.
We own our home with a fenced in yard.
And I was turned down by multiple rescues??
My dogs have lived long long lives.
So how was I turned down.
Of course I was also approved immediately by a lot .
But once again the dog I wanted was neutered at 6 weeks old.
@@deem7478 ummm no… AKC also needs to step up and stop promoting unhealthy traits. It’s ok to responsibly breed for HEALTHY family pets not for showing. Responsible breeding is not what causes in San Diego
@@sfstoryteller1227 Find another rescue to adopt a dog. Stop being lazy just because only several rejected you.
People need to stop getting pets and think they're just something to play with. They are living creatures and need to be cared for, not just for a few minutes but all the time. Save a life, adopt, don't shop and have your pets spayed or neutered!!!!!!!
So simplistic and not addressing the issues. Inflation is real...the costs associated with responsible pet ownership has more than doubled over the past 4 years. I just paid $350 for a wellness check of two pups. The diagnostics and treatment were one vaccination and fecal exam (which was clear) for each of the pups. Imagine how much it would cost to diagnose and treat a sick or injured pet? Then the price of dog food has almost doubled over the past four years. So too has flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives. These companies are pricing themselves out of customers...but sadly pets are paying the ultimate price. There are people who simply cannot afford these costs anymore...the responsible thing to do is rehome or surrender. Don't neglect or dump a pet.
@@FVWhimsy2010 Then don’t get a living pet. Get a stuffed toy pretty simple. If you can’t afford to do right by them and provide the care then don’t get a living animal
@@FVWhimsy2010 I completely agree about the cost of vet bills, but they've been high for many years. In 2007 I spent $29,000.00 on my two cats Cloudy and Cleo. Cleo needed two surgeries, but unfortunately passed away and Cloudy had cancer and was getting chemo (I'll never do that again, it was cruel). I did everything to make sure they got the care they deserved. Pet care is a billion-dollar industry, and pets are dying, abandoned and surrendered because vets and pet care (food, medications, etc.) it's the money that counts, not the animals.
But I also believe that a lot of pet owners have absolutely no problem buying a new iPhone every year, taking trips they cannot afford, buying cigarettes and whatever else they find more important than taking care of their animals. I would work ten jobs just to make sure my pets had everything they need I wouldn't just abandon them. We're responsible pet parents, I wish everyone was.
@@RC-no3drI agree with you to a point. People have had pets prior to the pandemic. Corporate greed exploded during and post pandemic. Rents are unaffordable since then and so is everything else.
@@FVWhimsy2010 Vet costs are through the roof
Landlords that dont allow pets are a huge contributor to the problem
Absolutely!
No. It’s previous irresponsible pet owners who allowed their pets to destroy the landlord’s property.
@@kitkat5339 No
There need to be laws allowing pets with reasonable security deposit.
@@deem7478 You would be surprised at what landlords have to pay out of pocket beyond security deposits for damages these days. Labor and material costs have gone up just like everything else.
They need to ban breeding
Absolutely!
Bingo! Finally a real solution in the comment section.
instead of sending money to ukraine, they should take care of our own animals and humans here in america.
The money can be used to build affordable single family homes and build new suburbs for the young adult population to move into and populate.
Dont be stupid, we wouldnt get the money even if they stopped giving it to Ukraine and Israel. We never did before, why would we know?
People are so irresponsible... Everybody wanted Huskies (again... after the 90s taught us they are very difficult dogs to keep) and now AGAIN they are being dumped in alarming numbers... because people keep on thinking they can live in small apartments and get by with just a walk... oh... but it´s not the breed is how you raise them... yea right... poor Huskies, they are the only victims
It’s sooooooo bad in Tijuana 😢
I don’t know about that. Have a friend that had one in a smalll house very small one with no yard are fence. They don’t jog. The dog was beyond will behave and they had the dog until it dead of old age at 20 years old. Did I say again super trained and beyond will behave. I seen people on the dog whistle show that can’t control their pet period because they don’t understand how to even care for a pet period.
All my dogs acted outside their breed due to good training and understanding ones dog and emotional play. All dogs have different personality a breed don’t completely tell you how they will be it like human that love to put everything in a stereotype than get surprised when that thing don’t fall within it at all. It like horses and other animals some can be more lay back and go with the flow, some more overly happy and hyper, some more drown and depress, some more angry most the time, some more lazy, some more work alcoholic, etc just like people. I had dogs on all scale of the spectrum. Had a more depressed dog I help took care of but my cheerful personality cheer her up and she ended up more happy. When her owner got her she run away back to our house. He was his hunting dog and she was a wonderful hunter. She was over weight but she lose weight as I walk her every day and watch her diet.
Dear Lord, dont forget the innocent amimals.
And the humans in the street because of poor health care and the greed of landlords! Please Lord in Jesus Name help us all.
Humans are more important than other species. If you believe in God care for weak people whom have a soul, spirit and mind. Animals don't
@@cuautemoctgo Nah
The cost of daily living has tripled in the past that includes dog food.
I purchased dog and 2 other items at a store and the total was over $100.00. Regular Americans are already living paycheck to paycheck. Unfortunately, these poor animals cannot be part of a family equation when you can barely feed your family, this hurts me beyond words.
So true. Monthly flea and tick and heart meds are expensive.
Corporate greed. My cats favorite toy used to be $2. She loves it so much she destroys it after a couple weeks. Today the same exact toy is $8.99. A lot of these corporations are just greedy. They raise the price and if people continue to buy it, they keep trying to raise it. That's what I noticed especially with this darn toy. I love my cat so that's why I buy it, but it's completely ridiculous to pay $9 for something that costs 20 cents to make
@@joketsu100 I'm not trying to be funny and I totally commiserate with corporate greed and cost of living problems, but your cat must be the only cat in the world who likes store bought toys. try to wean her off and onto tin foil balls and random earplugs like every other cat lol
@K.C-2049 lol I'm not going broke because of the toys it just pisses me off. I have a lot of cats because I do cat rescue. One of my female cats is the toy destroyer
Obviously, these families don’t consider their animals as “family” members.
I think there should be mandatory volunteering at an animal shelter before owning a pet.
Then you have people stealing dogs that already have owners. I'm still not sure why so many people are breeding large dogs when so few of us have yards.
i live in a condo and people here have big dogs-super weird
the vets charge $200 to look at an ear infection then another $50 for a few drops of ear meds, then push all kinds of expensive unnecessary poisons on the dog along with anything else they can squeeze out of the owner leaving them thinking maybe this is a no go.
It's probably not their fault. They are probably employed by a corporation that requires they meet certain quotas to get raises. It's a sad fact that big corporations have bought out most doctor and veterinary practices in the last few years.
This is very true. Many vets get greedy. I know a lady who paid $1200 for an ear infection in a cat..
They ought to make vet care more affordable
There's programs that donate to spay and neuter pets for $15
Vets don't actually make that much, it's expensive to run a clinic. As a dog groomer I can tell you your best bet is good prevention, that means putting drops in their ears during a bath so dirty water doesn't get stuck in there, and *not* plucking their ear hair unless they already have an infection and the vet does it as part of treatment, and regular cleanings between baths.
How sad, poor animals. God, please help them.

People can’t AFFORD to feed their pets, me. Have 5 I would NEVER. dump them, and I sometimes do struggle, but i would go hungry before i ever thought to give them up, we need relief to help people.
I 💯 agree and do help
Me too. I have 4 rescues. Large dogs. My dogs eat before I do and at 67 I still work to keep a roof over their heads, pay vet bills and buy food. One thing I do is shop Luckys. They have a You Pick Five deal. You buy 5 packs of meat (sometimes the value for 1 pack is $13) for $25. I cook for my pack of dogs every night. They eat chicken, beef, turkey… I mix with vegetables, rice or barley and Canine Complete (Amazon). If I can feed 4 dogs for $100 or so a month, people can feed one dog for less. I don’t vacation anymore or spend money on luxuries for myself. My dogs are my priority. Yes it’s hard, but dogs are a good 12 + year commitment. They are sentient beings with feelings and emotions. You don’t just dump your dogs.

People have lost jobs, homes and no relief. Landlords barely allow cats and hardly allow dogs. So when people lose their job and have to move they cannot take their pets. Vet bills are very high for spaying/neutering. I’m just very aware of how things have gotten this way now. So sad.
This is Texas everyday. Rio Grande Valley. Worse place ever for dogs. They need to pass a LAW that stops people from breeding. Craigslist needs to be shut down because they allow puppies to be sold there. No such thing as rehoming fee.
Agreed! Every DAY in Texas Rio Grande has epidemic of this. Houston, Donna , Cleveland San Antonio!!
Dogs run over left to die on the road, being dumped in areas they cant survive What the hell are the mayors doing? Nothing no laws are being enforced like leash laws no spay and neuter help. These precios souls pay the always Shelters are killing dozens each day babies pregnant mamas its disgusting. .
Houston is a terrible place for dogs! Also Cleveland Tx and Montgomery county tx. I’m sick of it! Something needs to be done
At 6 weeks, that’s homing.
Yes, Cleveland TX, Rosharon, TX, Houston, TX, Brownsville, TX basically all of Texas. It’s so sad. I’m sick of it.
“They need to pass a LAW that stops people from breeding”😂
We need to go after people who keep letting their animals breed with a fine !!
My neighbor just contributed to this.
His females wasn't spayed and allowed to run loose. There was a male dog, not nuetered, that ran loose and got the dog pregnant.
The dog hid the puppies under our van.
We didn't like those neighbors from the start and they moved out as all the neighbors reported them to the police for multiple reasons.
The neighbors were given multiple fines and multiple warnings too.
They weren't arrested because the next problem would be something completely different. They're given a warning, next call they're fined. Next time around they're warned and then fined for something completely different.
It was a never ending cycle over there.
I agree!!!
I 100% agree. If there are fines, attached to irresponsible breeding practices and dog ownership people would think twice before recklessly breeding these animals. There needs to be consequences to contributing to this terrible suffering.
@DA-ib1ii This is why there needs to be licenses to breed dogs. No license is a fine and the dog is confiscated.
We do need some breeders for people with allergies who breed lab poodles and other working breeds that are actually used for working, i.e. search and rescue breeds, police breeds, military breeds, etc.
Ihave a feeling INSANE vet costs are part of this....
YES!!! This is very true plus you cant even get appts for months now. There is a shortage of vets, they actually want a "deposit" for an appt., so if you are a no show, they still get paid.. its gotten real ugly!
Maybe make it a LAW all pets need to be spay/neutered prior to going to their new home that way that cuts down on more animals
They make it toooo expensive for the average family to afford pet care. Do the math. They're part of the problem.

I just can’t afford to take on any more pets and it breaks my heart. Vet bills are beyond outrageous.
Same here.
I wonder if vets know they are the reason so many dogs are homeless.
Here in Montreal, Canada our lady mayor has banned pet stores, too many pets needing adoption in shelters!

California banned selling puppies and kittens through pet stores in 2017. It hasn't really helped.

In Albany NY the price of spay and neuter is over $500.00. Of course people don't get their dog fixed. Never seen or heard of a Vet going bankrupt!

In Malaysia🇲🇾, costs for neuter/spayed will be about
$35 - $50 for cats
$60 - $110 for dogs

We need a program that helps with the cost of pet care
What we need are more responsive legislators.
many places have free spay and neuter programs.
You want the government to set up welfare for pets? That’s absurd.
no we have to send money to ukraine.
Buy pet insurance.
When vet care is through the roof expensive costing thousands of dollars its hard to keep a pet. MAKE VET CARE MORE AFFORDABLE!!!!!!!!!!
Start with making vet school more affordable
So sad. Yet people continue to purchase from on line breeders aka puppy mills, pet stores (also puppy mill dogs), and back yard “breeders.” Add in the lack of spaying and neutering and thousands of animals will be euthanized just due to lack of space. Come on people….do better!
@jc, Those need to be shut down and banned
Those dogs need to be rescued too.
There should be a social stigma against these purists who incentivize these shady backyard breeders. Many guilty parties at play
@maiginblank the problem with rescue right now is that they are spaying and neutering these dogs at like 8 weeks old .
That’s just way to young.
They are not skeletal sound at that young age
And that can cause major problems down the road.
They should let the adopter choose when to spay or neuter.
Make them put down a large deposit that they’ll get back after their dog is fixed.
Those dogs need to be rescued just as much if not more than shelter animals!!
They live in deplorable conditions.
Vets are also to blame for unrealistic high bills. For my cat they want over 500 to fix him.and greedy landlords backyard breeders the world is so deplorable w greed
Vet bills have skyrocketed. What used to cost me $80 just three years ago is now $300. That's not normal inflation. That's pure greed. I think it's because corporations are buying up veterinary practices.
Most counties have low-cost spay and neuter clinics, but sometimes the waiting list for appointments is long and you might have to travel more than an hour to get there. $500 for neutering is way too high. Make some phone calls or search some more online.
You do realize many vets are not in control of their prices. Also vets don’t make That much money
Many people are suffering in this economy to make ends meet. Hence, there is an upsurge in the number of pets being abandoned.
Bleeding hearts don't want to hear that, just what the government officials want. Not realizing the reason so many people are struggling and rehoming pets is due to inflation.
The cost of veterinary care. It's insane. I would love to have more dogs, but I currently spend more on vet bills than I do on my federal taxes and clothing budget combined.

So many purebreds in the shelters says a lot about how huge of a problem puppy mills and backyard breeders are! Adopt, but if for some reason you absolutely need a specific breed, buy responsibly from a reputable, certified breeder! They will take in your dog if you can no longer care for her/him.
@@maiginblankI’m wondering if critical thinking isn’t being taught in schools. This is due to that I don’t think these people are using that skill, when it comes to getting the dog spayed or neutered
Dogs from backyard breeders need to be adopted just as much as shelter dogs
Their living conditions are deplorable.
@@sfstoryteller1227 If by adopted you actually mean bought, then no, you’re just supporting the “business” and helping them continue their cruelty towards animals. But if you actually mean adopt as in rescue these dogs without paying the backyard breeder, then yes.
However, there are exceptions. Some rescue organisations will sometimes pay the backyard breeder to give them all their dogs and sign an agreement with them so that they no longer breed dogs in such a way. This solution is sometimes necessary when the backyard breeder for some reason can’t be proven to be breaking the law.
This is the real answer. Dogs should not be backyard bred. Licensing should be required to understand how to breed healthy and sound dogs. Adopting is not eliminating thus root cause of the issue.

But they had " no funding " to offer a low cost program for low income folks with non- feral cats ( or dogs). That County managed TNR program was discontinued 3 years ago. The SDHS still has to answer for the small pets that were shipped to Arizona with no oversight. The poor animals suffer.
The shelters should consider moving them to other state shelters that have low animal rates. I know here in Michigan it seems all the shelters have are mostly pit bulls. Most people cannot have pit bulls where they live but would consider other rescue animals if some were available.
I hate breed discrimination. We have Pitbulls and they are good dogs. Its the owners who are the problem. My son couldn’t get apt or housing so my son had to buy a house and then commute 3-4 hrs a day. But we love our dogs. In my neighborhood there are Labradors that bite. Any dog will bite if you don’t train them. But yes, there are pilots who will fly dogs to other states for rescue.
Where I am in Florida, it is 90 percent pit bulls or pit bull mixes.
@@bayareagrl4ever526 Until they aren't. Lol typical pibble owner.
Its the same in many states shitty dog breeds occupy the majority of shelters.
It's almost all pit bulls here in California too. It's pit bulls everywhere. Pit bull owners are the most irresponsible of all dog owners, clearly.
So few people can foster now because of housing. I would foster if I could 😢 The people that have the money are too selfish.
Add to this all the irresponsible and greedy breeders--of EVERY ilk--and it's a nightmare.
That tells you the economic times are not good
Absolutely cost is so outrageous to have dogs fixed or medical issues... the private vets are being taken over by big companies prices ARE OUTRAGEOUS 😢😢... get help to stay and neuter programs for free...or very reasonable... it will help!!!
Denver is dealing with issues like this as well. I don't think people should have the options to not spay/neuter. The animal laws should be stronger. Backyard breeders, breeders in general, should not be allowed to sell unneutered animals freely. This country is so backwards with so many things, animal welfare included. First world country my a**.
Maybe lower the cost of spay and neuter so people can afford it might also help. Can't vets write off on their taxes a charitable contribution if they offer their services to a shelter one day a month to help curtail this? Just a thought.
That’s assuming vets have the time to volunteer and the ability to do so. Vet school is insanely expensive and vets don’t make much
I donate to my local shelter once a month, they should consider asking people to help with donations of food or blankets while they are so over capacity. 😿
@user, aia donate by feeding stary cats that have been fixed and ducks that come when the cats are being fed, If you dont give the ducks something they will eat the catfood
@@paulettebarrow9791 Stop feeding stray cats its horrible for the environment.
@@grimsonforce7504 For one you dont tell me what to do 2nd, these are cats Iv been feeding for year since they were kittens , they are all fixed. you have a sick heart
Stop taking dogs from other states!
……or out of country!!
@corgising Dogs are being shuttled all over America at this point. How could you possibly enforce that? Dogs from down South are ending up in the Northeast.
@@bwenluck9812 Why? Who is doing that? It seems like we take on dogs every time there is a disaster somewhere
@@corgising5606 I can't tell you specifically who, but there are several rescues that run shuttles to the North from down South. Years ago there was a show on the TLC channel about it.
I have no idea what country would be shipping in animals from disaster areas. I've never heard of that. Sometimes a service person will want to bring home an animal from where they were stationed, but it's very expensive to do so.
@@bwenluck9812 my prior reply was taken down for some reason. I found an article online about this issue. I guess southerners don’t tend to spay or neuter.
Soooo many irresponsible people. It's the exact problem all over the country including here in central Ohio.
I have never understood not fixing your pet and buying from a breeder. That being said, the costs of being properly able to care for your pets is out of control. My cat's vet food has increased around 50% in the last 3 years. Things just seem to randomly increase and by a big percentage.
No more breeding or puppy mills
It's getting too expensive for many people, especially those who shouldn't get animals that they can't be responsible for.
Yeah, like the entire working class. Only the rich will have pets.
Vet bills cost an arm and a leg
I have 2 dogs of my own and I love them to death, but the expenses are crazy. I’m single and they’re my only kids so I can make do but I can’t imagine others. You not only have to pay a license fee, most homes owners don’t allow pets or there’s an extra deposit on pets, the vets are extremely expensive one minor visit can cost almost $1000 especially if you go to a shady vet that is just adding on unneeded exams. Pet insurance exist but the monthly payments can be another stress.
But still I love my dogs and it’s sad to see some dogs who once had owners are now just roaming around.
My last cat died in 2012. I was very lucky because vet bills were no so expensive and my vet leaned on the side of compassion. So when my cat got a liver and brain disease. He said we can keep alive but it will eventually be a horrible painful death. I took him and a few months later when he struggling to breath the vet came and put h to sleep as I held in my arms in our home with his favorite blanket. It was $400 including cremation to do it at home but it was worth it.
I think this is so indicative of how some people see animals. They see them as an in the meantime thing, not as family or having a life commitment to them. What I am surprised of is the breeds in the video we saw. {Prime breeds of dogs sitting in shelter}. Also, all the covid fosters are back dumped at the shelter too.
I have zero hope in humanity
This is so sad. It doesnt have to be like this. SPAY AND NEUTER!!!!
This is heart breaking 😥
"You can send them to my Gravel Pit."- Gov. Kristi Noem
so sad
all the money spending on illegal immigrants couldve been used to help these poor dogs and homeless veterans. SMH
Nobody can trust the Animal vets anymore,, including their bills💰
I got ten acres to build a shelter. I’m living on it homeless myself.
Maybe a FREE VETERINARY course for youngsters and when they graduate they just need to do free spay and neutering? That’s why we have so many suffering pets. If veterinarians were given grant money for surgeries, everyone would have their pets fixed.
As it is, puppies are cute, and EXPENSIVE. Help out us fools, and we won’t have as many suffering pets.
Stop breeding, stop getting dogs because they are cute. They need to be loved and cared for just like your babies/humans.
😢 this is so saddening to hear about… all these poor babies. We are failing them by not getting them fixed. Shame on us humans. We are just a horrible bunch of fools. These animals and children deserve better!
Please dont give up on these pups...😭 LETS ALL HELP....
the government should do something about finding programs to fix your pet- it may help many people who cant afford it instead of sending money abroad
"the gov." YOU MEAN WE THE PEOPLE who are having what is left of good jobs given to china,.. and our farms of food, being killed faster by what is allowed across our border, and NO ONE CAN AFFORD A HOME, well the many YOU DON'T SEE because YOU THINK YOU ARE IMMUNE.
@ARI, Animal rescue does it for free if a person is disabled and they are cheaper then a reg vet
@ari It's the responsibility of the animal's owner to find a program to assist in spaying and neutering. The government can't help their citizens, let alone their animals.
BAN BREEDING
I dont understand how someone couldn't take one of these home with them. I found a stray and just straight up kept them, as a matter of fact all my dogs have been from shelters!
OMG, what are we going to do 😢😢😢 I already have three large dogs and live in a NYC apartment. I work full time and have to make time for my dogs too. Walking and taking them out for a run in the park at least three times a day. Feeding them, bathing them, providing clean beds and veterinary care. It is a big responsibility but I love them and would do it gladly everyday. But I wish I was a millionaire and do more for those poor souls in shelters and elsewhere ❤❤❤
All these people upset about animals when you should be upset as to WHY families are having to make the heartbreaking decision to give up their pets. Everything from FOOD to UTILITIES are outrageous. THAT is what people should focus their anger on. The policies woke judges and DAs have imposed on us has led us to this.
How do woke judges and DAs cause pets to be too expensive? Isn't it the cost of dog food and veterinary care?
Can some be sent to other states.
This is SUPER frustrating…I hear ppl say all the time that you shouldn’t own a pet if you can’t afford to take them to the vet…the vets require INSANE amounts of money for treatments and then ppl complain that the shelters are full..also they make it soooo hard to ever get approved from any of the rescue organizations that it’s impossible for most ppl to make the cut….
Agreed vets charge way too much. I think when you have an emergency vets should have to treat the dogs/animal even if you don’t have money. It’s a skill they should share/ be charitable with. Let people make payments. I was at emergency awhile back and this lady brought in a sick cat. They wanted $8000 to unblock the cats bladder. I paid $2500 just for a few stitches in my dog. This poor guy brought in a small dog whose eye was pooping out. They refused to treat the dog because the guy didn’t have the thousands of dollars they wanted.
@@bayareagrl4ever526 And there you have it. Capitalism has arrived in the doctor and vet's offices.
I just went to their site. So many up for adoption are mature dogs! Wake up people! The economy sucks! People can't afford to live in their home or their rental! How can they afford a vet bill if their dog becomes ill or is already suffering with a health condition? And dog food isn't cheap especially when rising food costs make it difficult to feed your family or yourself. Sadly, the pet is put in a shelter, no doubt by their heartbroken owner!
No excuse! If your child was suffering from a health issue would you just dump them off at orphanage??? If you dog is sick and you can't pay you just do the best you can with it, and keep it comfortable. Don't dump it in a shelter!!!
@@apara2005 In some states you can be charged with a crime for not getting the necessary medical treatments. People don't have 2 or 3k to get their dog stitches. It's just the way it is. If you drop it at the shelter its medical needs will be met.
