Hi guys. In this video tutorial I will how you how to make nice Leather Coaster Set.
It's pretty easy to make so even if you are beginner you shouldn't have any trouble making this project.
I made this double side leather coaster set from vegetable leather 2.4mm / 6 oz
Part of stand from 4mm/ 10 oz.

You can also use acrylic resolane from Fiebing's as a finish.
This is good waterproof finish for this project.

Is the top coaster leather in brown the same weight as the bottom leather in black making it also 4mm total. Or do you shoot for 2.4mm total for the coasters?
Leather 2.4mm. Thickness of every finished coaster is approx.4.8mm-5mm.
Are you just using black leather as the backing of is that some kind of rubber?
Yes.
This is black leather.

What type of rubber did you use for the bottoms and where can we get it, or is it leather also?
This is vegetable leather, just in black colour but you have a good idea.
