Whether Payton succeeds or fails as an NFL analyst, we were all fortunate to see this Dan Patrick tutorial on sports media. Payton seems very serious about even giving it a shot. This is real and fascinating.
1 more year of mac time manager... get the shit over jerry. We the fans want this. Offer him so much mobey he cant say no. Give the saints so much money they cant day no. Whatever picks they want. Just fukin do it! Jerry! Plz we hav had enough
DP has that kind of pull. I did notice that Sean Payton made sure that every single word he spoke had been given thought. I still believe that he will wind up in Dallas. He would work wonders with talented Cowboys offense. McCarthy and Moore had their chance.
The most underrated color guy was Dick Vermeil. He did college football between the time he left the Philadelphia Eagles and he went back into coaching with the Rams. You could tell he studied game film, broke down the tendencies of teams based on what he saw on film and predicted or told the audience what to expect. Payton could be that kind of guy, but my first inclination is that he is going to have to learn to be less chatty.
Can you please turn down the audio at the beginning? That opening always blows out my headphones and scares the heck out of me. There is no reason to have the audio levels that loud.
Dan has verbal charisma which relaxes his guests into EPIC interviews and his funny guy next door mentality kicks it to a level elite!!! But that's just me! Thanks Dan!
Sean seems to have a clear view of his next challenge. He came across as being lathered up to work hard and be a student in a new career. Those are 2 good traits as he embarks on his new adventure.
Falcons and Panthers getting clowned outta nowhere lol. Payton said “Falcons and panthers….I’m ok with that.” (Aka I’ll beat these bums with taysom hill playing qb)
This is just my opinion: He didn't wanna go into the 2022 season without a true n dependable number 1 QB on top of their salary cap issues. Also it was a real grind for the saints especially with the QB position not having stability n that can be frustrating for coaches
Dan u da man. Voice of my childhood. Im die hardcowboysfan. Please hav SHEA in irving. He was sorely missed.... But he speaks the truth. Its like he watches games with us
what network will offer him a one year deal. As a Saints fan you would have to hope someone like Jerry Jones would go after Sean sooner rather than later so the Saints could get compensation they so desperately need
Sean talks in that staccato style with pauses after every phrase, I just don’t see it translating to color commentary. It just seems like he really thinks out his sentences before articulating them. Instead of a smooth consistent delivery. But what do I know…
I feel he would be open to it if Approached, When asked by Peter King who's the young quarterback he’d pick to build a franchise around today he replied "Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes"
Payton will not want to be in the media. He wants to coach and some team will offer a crap load of money for him. Think of the Raiders, Cowboys or Jets.
Interesting I just watched. Home field movie roughly about Shaun coaching his estranged sons team in Dallas area... His son said in the movie allegedly "Dad coach at Dallas its only 45 minutes away". Perhaps that is the plan. To move closer to his Son. Cant lie I'm going to miss him coaching Saints... Miss him coaching and relationship with Taysom. I wish hed waited one more year. Best of luck regardless to him. His family is more important to him than a game. So in the booth he would have far more time.
He isn't going to Cowboys are you nuts? Jerry wants control the team Payton ran things in NO so that right there is problem #1. Problem #2 Is Payton has strong personality he would be an argument everyday with Jones he knows. Problem#3 No matter what team it is they have trade for him Saints hold his rights so draft picks, players or money have to be agreed upon before he will be traded. #4 By the time he decides to come back more teams may want his services so cowboys will be S*** out of Luck.
Sean will end up coaching again for Dallas the saints fan’s just butthurt 🤣🤣☠️☠️sean Payton can coach where he pleases he loves the cowboys and he lives in Dallas 👊🏾👊🏾
Sean Payton,is discouraged about Roger Goodell, telling Referees to cheat with many no-calls or bad -calls on teams like the Saints God wants everything to be done fair Yes God,does Judge football games who runs the NFL Roger Goodell !!!
Everybody is saying he'll go to the Cowboys next year,I don't see it, regardless of the "fit". Dallas is probably gonna be back in the playoffs again and if they win a game,I don't care what the fans think,I don't see them firing McCarthy after a season like that.
I think that NFC south division is WIDE open right now. There’s no clear cut roster. Tampa might repeat but they lost Brady, Gronk, and Brown. The Defense is getting a little older with some of the vets on the roster.
Nice to see him smiling ! Without the prospect of acquiring a Franchise Quarterback - Thought of being in rebuild mode too much to bother with ? Very Honest in his approach to the future ? 🤗
Because it has been proven that the whole thing was a witch hunt pushed by Goodell. If you are actually intersted in knowing the truth of the entire situation, go read "Of Bread and Circuses: The Story of Bountygate and the 2012 New Orleans Saints". You probably won't though because you don't like the Saints, and want to hold on to this belief of this big elaborate bounty system.
@@sj4632 I guess I expected you to have some level of compression but that was wrong. Again, if you actually want to know the fact, read the book. Until then spew your bullshit you know nothing about. The nfl was going through cte lawsuits and needed a scape goat. The facts are all there ….. but go ahead and be ignorant.
Bart Scott killed him today. Saying as I said, 16years etc etc. He also mentioned they are 60M over the cap because of his spending (including a ton of money to Taysom Hill who is good but not a starter at ANY position).... and then he high tailed it when Brees is definitely not coming back and the cap is SCREWED.
I like Dan and all but I don't admire his familiarity (read: smugness) that comes through loud n clear with certain guests regardless of their background, defenders will say he teases, but I call it smug...Dan, you AINT no actor, don't matter if you have 29 credits or not
I'm sorry to keep doing this but I'm going to!!! Sean Payton interview with Dan Patrick (u can utube it), talking about the Dak/ last play was SO UNDIPLOMATIC!!!!!! Kinda smug and sneakily unsympathetic to McCarthy. Very very sneaky unclassy!!!

Sean looks & sounds happy. I wish him the best because he did so much for New Orleans.
Fascinating! To hear someone at the top of their field intellectually work through what their next act will be.
DP has that kind of pull. I did notice that Sean Payton made sure that every single word he spoke had been given thought. I still believe that he will wind up in Dallas. He would work wonders with talented Cowboys offense. McCarthy and Moore had their chance.

Great Interview! Sean's a class act. I will miss him on the sidelines of my Team. But he left us better than when he came! Who Dat!
This was like an announcer training / coaching masterclass

This is a perfect example of why he is great. Humility with the constant drive for improvement. Role model 💯
Felt like we were listening to a private conversation. Great stuff
Best coach we will ever had . Wish we could have won more Super Bowl . WHO DAT !
He should've in 2019
Should have won it in the 2011 season and 2018 season
Dan has verbal charisma which relaxes his guests into EPIC interviews and his funny guy next door mentality kicks it to a level elite!!! But that's just me! Thanks Dan!

feels like Payton is interviewing lol
this was fantastic.. Dan has done this too long..sean was super open
Falcons and Panthers getting clowned outta nowhere lol. Payton said “Falcons and panthers….I’m ok with that.” (Aka I’ll beat these bums with taysom hill playing qb)
What a wonderful thoughtful person
There's an opening for a Danette right? He could be the new McLovin.🤣
Sean has a long way to go - it was a hard listen - but I'm rooting for him.
Great interview.
This was good.
This is just my opinion: He didn't wanna go into the 2022 season without a true n dependable number 1 QB on top of their salary cap issues. Also it was a real grind for the saints especially with the QB position not having stability n that can be frustrating for coaches
This was a good one!
Sean Payton will be back in Dallas 2023 book it 👊🏾👊🏾
I hope for the saints tho
It’ll never happen, it’s all speculation, I don’t believe it at all
DP Show has an opening in the back row!
So smart geez he’s gonna kill it watever he decides.
Man it hurt seeing this man leave he made us winners
He's going to where he has always belonged, Big D.
Coach Peyton, such a class guy!
I guess you don't remember when he put a hit on players for injuries for cash bonuses, or you are being sarcastic.

There u go Sean I'm glad you not leaving us
I am hopeful for him great coach's perspective....
Please come to Dallas
Great attitude about heading into something new...

This was good
Payton will not want to be in the media. He wants to coach and some team will offer a crap load of money for him. Think of the Raiders, Cowboys or Jets.
This is all a show, he 100% wants to be a head coach again, probably has to take a year off before he transitions to a new team.
@@mack626 Exactly right.
Please ESPN find him a better wing man don't mess this up
Get em on MNF. They need an Alternating crew every week 👍
Great idea. It's been a while since MNF had a big name.
With his "easy going" personality and intense knowledge of the game, he would be perfect as a play by play analyst …very easy to listen to.
Coach just did an interview online without knowing it
Get this out of your system Sean and be ready for Cowboys Training Camp 2023.

I think the Los Angeles Lakers may have contacted Sean
Dan patrick the goat

Jerry Jones got Sean's number on speed dial.
That's my coach.

How come Bountygate was never brought up in terms of Payton's legacy?
Because it has been proven that the whole thing was a witch hunt pushed by Goodell. Sean Payton looks exhausted. He will take a year off maybe two. And then he will have his pick of any jobs that are open then.
Mclovin leaves an Sean retires to do TV put 2 and 2 together Dan

The cap was worse last summer and they got over it. Watch what happens this summer
Why not both of you do nfl games together? Come as a package...
Sean And Drew / pair them up
If Dallas was still in the playoffs , would Sean have walked?
I cannot wait until the Cowboys hire him next year!!!!!!! I can't wait.

Sean that was terrible! Stick to coaching and go coach the cowboys!! 😂😂
I don't know why he would want to do color commentary, he's hard to listen to, takes forever to get to the point. Tv doesn't go with his personality.
Dan interviewing the NFL’s biggest D-head…
