The reason she was loved so much (before natlan creep happened) back during the Fontaine meta was mainly because she felt like a nice account-wide buff for people who play the game with horizontal investments. She didn’t need to be BiS when she was goodge enough for being one five star. Oh and being paired with the best dps in the game. (Back in Fontaine) was quite pog.

Good video. People overestimate how much she does without a strong healer (which is mediocre off field damage, an okay buff for basically one rotation and halfing your team hp), and underestimate how much basically needing a teamwide healer fucks with your team building unless you're playing a specific team (Alhaitham + Baizhu, Xiao/Gaming + Xianyun etc). Bennett and Xilonen are the only single target healers that can get a decent amount of fanfare but those are the two most sought after units in the game and teams with Bennett really prefer Citlali. She is still very versatile and the teamwide healers like Jean and Baizhu really aren't so bad that you can't clear, but she is not really in the top meta teams at this point. Which is fine, as if she was she'd be blatantly overpowered with her versatility. Still a minimum decent pull for basically any carry, but Citlali has put a stop to her being super dominant in the strongest teams. And people get very defensive because she is the best written character in Genshin. tldr people think c1 furina is what they automatically get when they slot her in. Big dmg% buff with good off field damage. While it's not really that simple and she restricts team building.
As a Kokomi and Furina main, I'm about to make a WILD statement. They're about as valuable as one another and it's crazy how Kokomi's reception was piss-poor and Furina was overestimated (I think some people calc with 75% dmg bonus which is why she always comes out on top? idfk) This is based on calcs of my own Prototype Amber / Festering Desire builds, so obviously there's confirmation bias in here. Top 3% Kokomi and top 10% Furina on Akasha if that means anything. But in Kokomi+Furina+2Hydro buffers teams, the two of them deal equal damage down to the percent for me. Furina does it off-field, Kokomi on-field. Furina drains, Kokomi heals. Furina starts up and enables the DMG% + Incoming Healing% buffs, Kokomi is the one who actually gets the buffs going. Their power budgets are very similar in my eyes, with the sleeping dragon lagging a bit behind the archon due to 70 burst cost instead of 60. Kokomi's kit feels like Furina's Pneuma state fleshed out into a full character. I would say the most tame version of my argument is: these two units would be just as valuable if their burst cooldowns matched and Furina was only Ousia (which is still 90% of a full Furina kit so...)
Besides the great criticisms of the video, Furina also has the caveat of backloading her buffs. Healing with Bennett and Xilonen makes rotations restrictive plus not to forget how long her elemental burst animation is. (My main gripe with her) Imo still a great buffer, but she ain't Jesus for the meta even at C2.
We need to make mics more expensive
Id like to report a hatecrime 😭

I think shes definitely a very good character but nowadays i'd say the best character in the game is between Bennett or Xilonen
i agree :)

I felt this way since the beginnning. People would've called me crazy but I guess I played the long game.

Furinas mid nowadays.. /hj
Yea Chasca’s best team is *always* the mavuika one not the Furina one.
