Stalin was a psychopath, he didn't give a rats ass about anyone in his family. That's the only reason he didn't care to get his son back. He saw it as an opportunity to make himself look like an even better leader. "That he cared so much about everyone that his family wasn't any better"
It's old news Stalin hated to be around his family and rather locked himself in in a room during his "free time" to drink and smoke cigars probably planning his evil future of camps, sentences and death.

I love history and WWII is a period I have studied deeply and whenever I watch a video or documentary on the topic I pretty much never learn anything I didn't know already, and watch them simply as entertainment or to fall asleep or something. This channel is extraordinary with the depth of research and wealth of new knowledge. Shoutout to @Mark Felton Productions (I wish tagging worked on YT...), you do a really great job with your channel! I will make sure to become a Patron once my finances are stable again (the epidemic kind of threw a wrench into things for me)

Stalin's Russia, and its historical details, are always more shrouded as far as history goes, so its impressive that he's managed to gather these facts, and then is able to presents in them so succinctly.
