      Recently the time and opportunity came for me to get a new camera.
      After extensive reasearch and a budget of around 2 000 $ I chose the Panasonic Lumix S5 :)
      After ordering it I remembered about your answer :)

      we try to stick to a pretty strict payment schedule which included a 50% deposit, 25% progress payment, and 25% balance.

    Great video! Do you have any resources surrounding setting up monthly retainers with clients? I've been freelancing Identity and Web Design for two years now and can't seem to win clients over on retainers (whether it be SEO, social media management etc.). It's been leaving my pipeline looking like primarily one-off projects and the odd customer service which can be feast or famine.

      Start positioning yourself as providing retainers as a service. Update your website and marketing materials, then make calls to past clients and introduce it. Then start sharing more content around it on social media.

      Sounds like a solid plan, I assume this is marketed in tandem with the regular services? I have the issue with the scale of client having budget for retained services, but I suppose that's a different challenge to tackle. :-)
      Regardless, thanks again for the response and some actions I can take!
