    Another thing I really appreciate is the way you zoom in when you are applying the eye shadows and go one step further by adding clear written instructions - including the best way to apply them. I am learning a lot by watching your videos, It must take a long time to film, edit and write the instructions and add the lovely soundtrack. You could make very entertaining videos just by being yourself and sharing your opinions, as you have a very pleasant voice and warm personality, but the fact that you put so much effort in creating great content with so much attention to detail should never be overlooked. You should be proud of your work Cassie.

      I agree so much! That's why I love your video's and that's also why We're subscribed to your channel, arent't we? And I also like it that she's a little goofy sometimes but that's what I like about Cassie. She talkes to you like you're her best friend. ❤☺

      So true! Cassie is a real woman, her lighting is real, her tutorials are suitable for any of us who have ordinary jobs and don't want to look like showgirls and her reviews are honest. I am tired of those puppets who have lighting that makes them look like barbie dolls with no pores, facial hair or pimples.

  • @lacielou998

    I definitely agree that reviewing "old" (even though I wouldn't consider the cover shots old) products it still helpful when an item is permanent

  • @vanessahi

    The amount of effort that goes into a video like this is insane.. swatches of every single shade with finger AND brush, as well as creating an eye look with every palette on different days PLUS the really really detailed instructions for every single step. Girl, I see you're working hard and you deserve so much love. Thank you so much Cassie!!

    • @Shaniquaanwot
      @Shaniquaanwot 7 лет назад +19

      It is literally her job though. Like, she has to do it. She's not working 9-5 then doing it for fun. No hate, but I don't think we can heap praise upon her for doing a job she chooses to do. Realistically, this amount of effort should go into every video, and I am not saying it doesn't, but it should not be treated as a rare treat for her subscribers. It is how she makes a living.

    • @Shaniquaanwot
      @Shaniquaanwot 7 лет назад +6

      I completely agree but she puts out five videos a week, so they should all technically take 'all day'. I'm just saying that we should expect more from the youtubers we watch, not necessarily Cassie, and expect them to put effort into their videos.

    • @vanessahi
      @vanessahi 7 лет назад +23

      No, that's not what I meant. She IS putting a lot of extra effort into her videos that wouldn't be necessary but she does it anyway. For example, she could have quickly shown the palettes, give her opinion and do one tutorial with a palette she likes on fast forward without explaining any of the steps. And that could be a 10 minute video right? And that's what lots of RUclipsrs do and that's fine. But Cassie is doing all these extra little steps for her viewers and the people who are genuinely interested in these palettes. What I'm trying to say is, that she could get out 5 videos a week that are just barely 10 minutes long, putting minimum effort in and earn her money and be fine - BUT SHE IS NOT, she is genuinely doing all these extra little things and a lot of you seem to take them as granted.

    • @floralisa1975
      @floralisa1975 7 лет назад +16

      No shade toward Tati bc I love her but for example, Tati puts up 5 videos a week. And they're of amazing quality, of course. But she doesn't put any extra effort into a lot of her review and tutorial videos. Not many RUclipsrs aside from Cassie do reviews and tutorials all in one, and if they do its completely half assed with very little detail and you can barely follow along with the tutorials because they don't explain anything. Cassie does go above and beyond sometimes when she could be like any other RUclipsr who just spits out videos for a paycheck.

    • @floralisa1975
      @floralisa1975 7 лет назад +4

      +Lori Flynn yes they're much better in overall video quality and she does put effort into her videos but Cassie is doing a 2 in 1 video here and you don't see that from every RUclipsr.

Thank you as always for your detailed and informative content, I can only begin to imagine the hours spent making this review for us to enjoy. I personally like when influencers review things past the hype, especially for things that are permanent. If people still speak about it past the hype, it's worth to give it a look. First impressions are ok to watch, but I've seen so many influencers go on like 'I loved this in the beginning BUT-'... I need more 'late to the party/test of time' reviews. Thanks for the video Cassie!

  • @MsBrandiLion

    The amount of work that went into this video is insane. We all appreciate it Cassie! I love these palettes, I own 5 of them, Ablaze isn't available in retail here so I'd have to order it online, but I have the Matte, Golden Hour, Smoky, Metallic and Softlight. I agree with you on the Softlight palette but I do like the two "base" shades, Keeper and Spectacle. Spectacle is gorgeous layered ontop of supermodel from the matte palette, like extremely gorgeous. I dont use the bottom shades as much from Softlight but it isn't a terrible palette, just not BAM in your face full pigment, which some people do like. Not all, but some :) The two base shades tho... love em. Keep up the amazing content and work hun xx

    Cassie, thank you so much for such wonderful and thorough reviews, swatches, and tutorials!!!!! I haven't bought any of these palettes yet. When they were first released, they sold out almost instantly! When they came back in stock, I hadn't been able to find any tutorials that made me feel confident about buying these palettes. But now, after watching your video, I want the 3 palettes that you like best and the colorful one!!! I need to narrow it down to one palette, that's going to be hard!! Like I've written to you before, I think your eye tutorials are AMAZING! I love both the finger and brush swatches. This was definitely my favorite kind of video!! Thank you again for taking the time to make such a great video!!💖💖Torie

    These videos always are so inspiring to me! There's a crazy amount of work that went into this video and it really pays off! Every look is FANTASTIC and so easy to follow along with. I love that you show every single step, instead of just cutting to after you do it off camera. Not to mention all those swatches! It really helps to know how the shadow applies with a finger or a brush. Love all the work you put in! Thanks!

    LOL! I have all of these palettes and the Softlight is one of my favorites. The shadows in that one are both soft and illuminating. It's best for a one and done look, and really works great for that "no makeup, makeup look." The matte palette is definitely the most practical of the bunch, but Golden Hour is my favorite. They really are long lasting, and they are great travel palettes. But I can't believe how much work you put into this video. It was really impressive! Thank you for all of your hard work.

    Next time you do eyeshadow swatches with a brush, do you think you can use a flat shader brush? Something similar in style to a MAC 242. Fluffier brushes like the one you use tend to sheer out the pigment of the shadows. (Which isn't bad for colors that could be used in the crease but the bolder colors lose a bit of their oomph with a fluffier brush) please take it into consideration! :)
    And a quick edit to add! You might not have to do as many brush passings with a flat shader brush.

    Hey Cassie! You've been killing it lately with the eye looks, I love how you use a pop of color on the lower waterline, I was wondering if you could make a video about colorful eyeliners in general, wich ones are best or the ones you like? Specially drugstore if possible, because the few I've tried always seem to either not be colorful enough or just won't work on the waterline at all! 😦

    The funny thing is, as a nurse, I totally appreciate the Softlight palette. I have a few palettes that I can grab a great transition shade from, but very few favorite all over lid colours. I don't personally own the Softlight palette, but I feel like it'd be quick and natural look to use any of those colors as a lid shade with my finger and then add in a transition with fluffy crease brush. I think it all comes down to personal preference and the level of drama you're going for in your everyday looks. ^.^ I'm sorta considering getting the palette now - gahhhh, why did I wait until after the Sephora spring VIB sale was over?!? >.

    I actually like them all even the really paler shades . Also i think a sponge eye shadow applicator would work great to apply those shadows! Pretty and thanks so much.

      I agree, sponge applicators generally give better pigment/colour pay off. Love Cassie and would love to see her try some at one point or another.

    How would you say the bold/colorful shadows do in comparison to other colorful shadows like ones from UD or KVD? I don't have a good colorful palette and am looking to invest in one.

    Thank you so much for all your hard work! :) It's always a pleasure to watch your videos!
    I was wondering if you could maybe review the Sleek iDivine eye shadows palette someday? They're drugstore makeup and rather old, but I'd genuinely be interested to hear your thoughts on them.
    Love your channel! Kisses to you and your kitties from mine!

    I was surprised at how the Bolds palette performed. It didn't seem to swatch as well with a finger as it did with the brush. I didn't think it would be as good as it seems to be!

    So crazy how many of these look like totally different shades (finger vs brush swatch). Thank you for always doing both! I'm tempted to get the matte palette to replace my urban decay basics and the bold palette..because my cats names are Stormy and Techno ;) Thank you for reviewing this set!!

    Oh my god the amount of time and energy that must have gone into this video is incredible!
    I have a request though, can you please review the glossier skin tint or stretch concealer? If the no-coverage look isn't your thing I get it. But I just really want to see how it performs on oily skin before I buy it. XO from Los Angeles!

    The soft lights one would probably suit people that are very fair. Here in Scandinavia loads of folks would be able to wear it well. I can imagine it will sell well.
