3:29 "that's the worst move he could've played"
Opponent: wait and see the next one!
This was really educational. I've read that an early b5 is bad against the Ruy Lopez but never really seen many concrete examples demonstrating why.
When I saw that title I instantly knew this video would be about that game I got crushed by Aman, feels bad man. I had some less shameful performances against him but hey at least I was useful!
You are terrible, I would delete this comment and my RUclips channel and never play chess again if I was you
@@wooshbait36 bro did you wake up on the wrong side that day? Or are you just that mean?
@@wooshbait36 What is your rating, if I might ask?
@@joedorben3504 1300 but I play chess as a hobby, I could probably become Grandmaster if I wanted.
@@MyscBigdrop I was on drugs.
As a yugioh old fan, i must say that thumbnail is pretty AWESOOOOMEEE AHAH
You watch just for the Joey faces lol
@@mrmiyamoto5908 Only in the Abridged Series though
Much appreciated :D
Guess Aman started playing chess because of Kaiba
Same
I like the intellectual depth of the music lyrics in this video.
10:42 That guy must've been so hopeful lmao
"Plz don't see it, plz don't see it", and then he lost all of his pawns with check. Poor guy :/
GM's are fucking scary. My ass would've fell for that mate
instead of b5 they should rotate to midlane with herald after slowpushing the h rank
B5 is bad they should play J4 instead
They should have just froze the wave and waited for the gank
dude what, is this a crossover episode?
chess is great and all.. But is it better than DOTA 2?
#SaveDOTAwithMemes
AHAHAHAHAHHAGAH
I've never seen a spanish game escalate so quickly. Good job, aman!
dude yall’s outro game is amazing. Thumbnails too.
I watch chessbrahs because of the music😂
I watch despite of the music.
Either Aman almost missed the possible mate around 11:00 or hes one risky pickle tickler
Black was down a tempo to deliver check-mate on g2
At 2:24 Bg5 is still a pretty good move even if it doesn't trap the queen. Stockfish says Re1 is only better move. After Qc5 there's Qf3 and black is pretty close to getting mated in 2 without precise play. You could argue from a human perspective that Nd6 cxd6 exd6 Qxd6 Bxg8 is much simpler to play just being up the exchange and with a much better position.
He "summoned" the Ruy Lopez.
The Roy Lopez is a challenging opening to play with a lot of potent traps. And from the beginning. It’s easy to blunder, either way
You even blundered its name
This kind of video is very useful, I think
I play yugioh competitively rn and am sub’d to this channel to just keep a wide range of inspiration for game theory so that thumbnail got to me on multiple levels
the game is still being played? what are typical prizes for getting 1st in a competitive setting?
@@ilikecommenting6849 the game is getting way too advanced with link summons and all other extra decks. it's beautiful as it used to be anymore :(
@@mostafaabdelmalik8434 I play anti-meta to stop all other types of summoning which keeps the game to only simple effect monsters.
What meta do you play?
Prize support for official ygo tournaments is the worst. While magic players get money on smaller tournaments, ygo players only get packs and if tgey are lucky a prize card but those are mostly given out during bigger events.
Hey - sweet! Caught two fish with the same bait. A wealth of choices indeed.
;-)
could not pass up on this vid with that thumbnail
According to stockfish b5 is fine. Ur d4 move can be met with the simple d6
Exactly what I noticed. d6 and black is completely fine. The real mistake was exd4. But even then, after white pawn pushes to e5, if u go Ne4 instead of Nh4 and you'll be fine too, because if Bd5 you go Nc5 and after Nxd4, Bh7 stops evey threat once again
6:48 correct move would be c5 -> c4 -> to trap bishop instead of recapturing the knight
on c5 couldn't white play c3 and after cxd4 recapture the pawn? Ends up in the same position except now white has space for the bishop and blacks down a pawn.
@@wehadagoodlife Bb7, dxe5, Nxe4, can't save that pawn easily.
1:20 getting that spicy notification
Aman really is the ultimate trap, see you tonight boo
play eric
Would you rather see Aman get smacked by Eric or Eric get smacked by Naka or Danya? Pretty similar skill discrepancies in those matchups.
@@mikecantreed You must be kidding. Naroditsky can't smack Eric. Naka is just on some another level.
Eric's score against Naroditsky is pretty good. His score against Fabi and Fedoseev is pretty amazing. Not to mention, Eric is not fast as he used to be and he clearly gets tilted these days. If Eric had given more time to his chess career, he would have been 2700+ rated and in top 50 for sure. I don't think Danya is better than Eric OTB.
Wiktor Włoch it’s the same, he’s just shortening it
GM Aman just wondering, in the Ruy Lopez why is it important to play Be7 before b5?
Nicely played there Aman Bimbleton
I love the ruy lopez. It's surprisingly easy for white to gain the initiative and even be winning against weaker players or players who don't know the opening well
1:19 thought it was my PC.
Who the fuck cares
TheGuy WhoPlaysChess Ok
Aman, where do i find your playlist? i need it so badly
Keep up the good work!
It says the song in the bottom right, idk abt the playlist tho
4:20 Bd6 looks pretty powerful here
very instructive thanks
nice rating at the end there mate
I hope you play other traps so we can see variations
Now only this channel is making good videos
I don't think this one becomes a trap unless black takes on d4. Even then, whenever white thrusts with e5 the typical response Ne4 (eg. Alekhine's defence) doesn't seem so bad to me. The main mistake made by black in both games is lack of development with moves like Qe7.
I always wear chessbrah t shirt
1:56 I found e6.
Hilarious thumbnail lmaoo
at 2:00 if you pushed the pawn to e6 i guess it would be so much better for you
Give me your playlist aman!!
Hard to understand chess without house music 🎶
b5!? isn't the normal move for a reason, but it's not that terrible.
It's actually a line known as the Norwegian opening. However, Black should follow with Bb7 and not Nf6? afterwards.
Why did aman not exchange take c6 at 5:30 and gain a pawn e5 in the next move , someone answer me.
I so much wonder what happened with sloppydisk?
1:57 you should move the pawn to e6, he cant capture on e6 cuz bxc6 would be free rook for white
That'd block the diagonal for the Nf7 though
@ 1:58 e6? Pawn can't take because of BxNc6 and if Dxe6 then Re1 pin
do you play on lichess if not can you tell me how can i play u please
b5 is playable but not the best, their mistakes were playing Nf6 before Bc5 because Bc5 stops d4 immediately
@Analyzing Male Slavery Yes it does
Thumbnail is mood
Great thumbnail
Cool music
2:26 Bg5?
Qc5
Fernando Herrera Contreras what?
As he said, he had Qc5/b4
I meant Qc5... @@hamiltondplayer
But isn't the queen trapped. Knight takes c5 if queen takes
Fried Liver Attack
10:58 what if queen takes g2 isnt it mate cus bishop protects it?
Umur Tanrıverdi yes but black could not play it because he was under check. At 11:08 white protects against it by playing g3
Correct, Qxg2 isn't mate, and isn't check and isn't Qxg2.
Yeah, lets fotget about Qxg2 :)
YU GI OH EH!!! ITS WAS MY FAVOURITE CARTOON TOO
good to know, I also didn't know why Be7 was played first
same now i can punish bad openings lol. I mainly play ruy lopez
You don't have to play it, it's just more safe to play, and these players played really bad moves after b5
Be7 is to threat the e4 pawn and finished the development fast but b5 then Bc5 or Nxe4 instead of Be7 or b5 is also possible.
06:45 why not bxf7 check then knight e5
Umm sir just my friendly question why did you ate the rook with your queen
oh yeah? well MAGIC JAMMER! HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH
The most interesting thing is how those 1700s 1900s look like a 600 noob infront of these Gms lol
lo pusiste en español que chido
engine says b5 is fine xd
why black didn't take pawn on e5 with the knight? (0:32)
Nxe5 Nxe5 Qxe5 Re1 wins the queen
Hey Amanda, at 7:48 is Bg5 a move?
Looks like it would transpose exactly to the game!
@@chessbrah Oh wow yeah I'm silly. For some reason I thought the move order mattered.
Hey what's that song at the very end?
Call me by 90sFlav
Instead of Nd6 I would have liked to see Bg5 in game one
When did he washed his head last time?
when i saw this i peed my pants 100% truth
Is it okay? Sure. Is it Jerome? Come on now...
Music track list, please.
6:40 dumbest move ever lmao
What if u play ur move 13 as Bg5
Qc5 i guess
at 9.02 14. Bxg8 it's blunder!
OK before I ask this question, go easy on me, I'm rated like 1200.
Why not after Aman plays bxf7, respond with Qxf7, NxF7, KxF7? That way, you've thwarted white's attack, and you've traded your queen for two minor pieces. I understand that it's not good to trade a queen for two minor pieces, but it seems reasonable given how wide-open you are in this situation.
i mean you're just dead lost there. you are guaranteed to lose. the guy's only hope was that the attack was not too overwhelming and he could somehow survive without severe material loss, and he did only lose an exchange until the queen blunder. really both variations are just dead lost so no point thinking about it.
2:18 isn't Bg4 queen trap?
Qc5 and Qb4 are available as escape routes
Just ate an edible time watch some Chess
Zachariah Stovall I had to read this sentence three times before I realized the “watch” wasn’t a noun
Yeah I was so high I thought I could beat 2200s last night
Zachariah Stovall lol
10:56 checkmate for black? Take with g2 with the Queen
Oh he was in check
yo ur playing someone over a thousand points below u😂😂
I feel more powerful
I love the way how u play.
song name at 4:03 ?
Are u playing rookies?
2:28 bg5
At 02:19 Bg5 traps the queen.
Qc5
yo 1:32 Instead of Bd5 Ne6!

0:40 g4
2:20 Re1?
How does a 1700 miss a mate in one???

Just FYI for everyone out there b5 that early is prope D4 is actually a mistake because of exd4 then after e5 black should play knight e4 not queen over as black did in this game. if white takes on d4 then the line goes like this. Black would take on d4 then white recaps with the queen and then bishop b7 for black and white has a slight edge as always as would be expected as white by default has a slight edge but a perfectly playable line for both white and black to which I would enjoy playing as black in the game.
10:48 Qxg2 was checkmate?
the black king was in check. Aman played f3 afterwards to prevent mate.
Julio Vendruscolo No el blanco está haciendo jaque al negro
10:58 black could mate hambleton 😂😂😂
Queen g2
Oops sorry u right
He mentioned it when rook took bishop few moves before.
black king was in check and hambo played f3 afterwards to prevent that
A 3,800 Elo rated player disagrees with you that b5 is a bad move.
10:52 qg2????
Oh no😂😂infinite missed his mate in1
no he didn’t.
he was in check.
Aman vs Praggnanandhaa
No change. Prag in 15.
this guy infinite_potato is 1758 elo and makes these moves?? HAHAHAHHAAAAA
why is Qg2 at 10:55 not mate?
It is but he kept getting checked and then white played f3 and threat was over.
Why can’t you play Bishop g5 after rook g8?
