And there's all kinds of double standards: Here in VA, the standards for using pepper spray are exactly the same as that of a firearm (for a civilian, pepper spray competes with a firearm), YET, the police can & will use their firearms EVEN IF the deadly attacker could be incapacitated with their issued pepper spray (for a cop, the use pepper spray competes with a baton, NOT a firearm)!!
Not in my country you don't, If you're carrying a wooden spoon and you say it's for self defence you are committing a crime and will be arrested, YES a wooden Spoon!😮😮
When I was that age, I was poor without a father and the thought of armed robbery NEVER crossed my mind. In certain situations the parent/s should shoulder some responsibility, and as others have stated in the comments, sometimes you just end up with a bad seed.
Pleeze ditch that narrative. the young THUGS are 100% responsible. NOT the parents. Every cross your minds that some kids just go bad. i have seen it first hand..

My Grandson is twelve and I stated teaching him gun safety and how to shoot when he was around ten years old. I also taught him just how dangerous a firearm can be and what they were designed and manufactured to do. Under no circumstances would he ever be allowed to touch a firearm of any kind unsupervised by an adult. I am also cleared eyed enough to know that not all children out in this cruel world are fortunate enough to have the love that my Grandson has. It is very sad that many kids get no love or guidance growing up and many or them kill or get killed as a result.
Society has failed these children. What we should be asking is, how do twelve and fourteen year olds end up with guns robbing people. Where was society, where was the village, where were the parents?
A 12 year can pull a trigger juat as easily as a 20 year old. Something is really screwed up in these kids home life's and I'm sure it comes down to the parents.
I was on R.R. in the Army , a total of 4 army soldiers was visiting the Gallery Shopping Mall in Philadelphia Pennsylvania , when we see 9 teenage boys robbing an old man . We are about 40 yards away , we scream stop robbing him. They see us , they stopped and ran away. We ran to the old man , he's ok nothing stolen. Then we started after the gang 13 or 14 year olds , they disappeared outside into streets . Those teenagers have weapons or they don't I'm treating them like adults, there dangerous. Put Bible Study and Prayer back in schools. Teachers and principals use wooden paddles again .
Copy pasting in case YT censors my comment because I will absolutely post it in tiny segments if I have to , in hopes of teaching you a couple facts 👍🏽
There's such a difference now versus a few decades ago; my father, when he was 12, bought rather a nice pistol at the age of 13. That was 1955. They had hunter safety courses in school back then, among other programs. Now we have a bunch of people running around not knowing what the fuck they're doing, and thinking crime is ok.
My nephew knew how to point a nerf dart gun at me and pull the trigger when he was 18 months old, so I'm pretty sure a 12-year-old knows point a REAL gun and fire it at a target. The "Tamir Rice was only 12" narrative has always been stupid. If you're holding a firearm, you're the same threat to cops no matter how old you are.
Tamir Rice complied when the officer appeared, yet was not even given a chance to actually surrender. No gun was pointed at the officer who rolled up, got out of the car and shot him.
no, at a certain point and i will say this age range there comes a point where you have to be held accountable. its funny, in the 18 to early 19th century a teenager was becoming and adult. and were not running around shooting people and they had access to firearms.
You'll see the family's at the court house screeming for justice for their lost angels and the guy that defended himself will be looking over his shoulder from here on out.
Same for any and all crimes. If your child steals bubble gum, driveswithout a license, drinks under age etc. You go to jail. If you are divorced and the ex lets the kiddo go to a party, if they drive home drunk, you get a dui.

The parents of the kids should be in prison too if they can't teach right from wrong it's a major problem you should be accountable for your kids
" One seldom really needs a handgun, but when one does, one tends to need it badly".... G. Orwell
True story
1984 His best book! Sadly, we are living it now!
1. How the hell did 3 minors get their hands on these deadly weapons?
2. The man had the right to defend himself.
3. No amount of gun control laws will stop criminals from trying to commit crimes.
People leave guns in their cars because it's illegal to carry them anywhere. Then, these bright young entrepreneurs break into the cars and steal the guns. The cycle of violence continues.
Exactly. The law already bars them from buying guns.
The weapons were BB guns (according to multiple reports) they were not deadly weapons.
Who can tell a b b gun from a true bullet shooting gun, the threat is there
@@ThePhspurlock Doesn't really matter in the moment. A pistol's a pistol and if it's being used to threaten you, it's not on you to check if it's real or not.
I just don’t want to hear “They were good boys!”
THANK YOU !!
All mothers say that.
the 6th grade graduation portraits and how they have plans to go to college😆
They had careers in medicine and engineering planned, of course.
and here is the GoFundMe page asking for $150,000....
This is a classic case of "F*** around and find out!"
By the law of nature you have the right to defend yourself no government or law enforcement has a monopoly on defending yourself
Period.
I watch the pro-2A channel, Armed Attorneys. The truth is that the police & prosecutors are EXTREMELY jealous of the right to the use of a firearm for self defense (they will deny you your right on the most disingenuous notions, they will "move the goal post" on you & me).
@@iamrocketray Wow, what country is that?

When I was that age, I was poor without a father and the thought of armed robbery NEVER crossed my mind.
In certain situations the parent/s should shoulder some responsibility, and as others have stated in the comments, sometimes you just end up with a bad seed.
Pleeze ditch that narrative. the young THUGS are 100% responsible. NOT the parents. Every cross your minds that some kids just go bad. i have seen it first hand..
You have absolutely no idea how hard those parents have worked to try to change the ways of their children. Some kids are just evil and will turn out bad, no matter who the parents are. Kids are also prone to take more notice of other kids than their own parents.
@@glenw-xm5zf I've also seen siblings that receive the same parenting yet turn out polar opposites in terms of their morality. These people that blame the parents never appreciate that, they themselves have just been lucky to have decent kids.
What parents?
@ kids will start thinking twice when it's their parents or guardians facing the consequences
A grown man’s game, comes with grown man consequences.
Nothing of value was lost.
Why are we not speaking about the failures known as parents?
Where's the father?
The parents should also be held accountable.
Last year a man defended himself while being robbed at a restaurant, in Houston, the man who defended himself didn't face charges. Texas first 2 slogans are, "Don't Mess with Texas" and "F around and find out." There are a lot of people finding out. Unfortunately the criminals made this a self defense situation. I fee sorry for the victim he has to live with killing a kid.
Please read the description. All three of the perpetrators survived.
More gun laws would only have prevented the victim from having a gun, not the criminals.
Precisely why they keep pushing for it.
So why can't the victim sues all the parents? We need laws to hold parents accountable for how their kids act
More laws is never the answer.
Suing the parents wouldn't do anything because they're living off welfare checks.
It is indeed very sad. People these days think evil stuff is cool.
@LITTLE1994 Sign of the times I suppose. At age twelve my generation was still playing with toys. So sad how far down we have fell.
Bibles and prayers in school won't do a cussed thing to change this; change starts in the home. Human decency and Abrahamism have little in common.
Some people don't want to see the 10 Commandments in school. It seems like they don't want to have a simple moral guide for children to follow.
It starts at home if the parents has no proper upbringing, no structure, and neither will the child .
You can say that again 😢 I'm from the generation that the boys had rifles in the gun racks in their trucks at school.
Jesus, these kids are gonna get tried as adults with a crime like this. Kids ruined their lifes and gave that old man PTSD.
Parents should share the sentence.
no, at a certain point and i will say this age range there comes a point where you have to be held accountable. its funny, in the 18 to early 19th century a teenager was becoming and adult. and were not running around shooting people and they had access to firearms.
You'll see the family's at the court house screeming for justice for their lost angels and the guy that defended himself will be looking over his shoulder from here on out.
no
Same for any and all crimes. If your child steals bubble gum, driveswithout a license, drinks under age etc. You go to jail. If you are divorced and the ex lets the kiddo go to a party, if they drive home drunk, you get a dui.
What sentence? They'll be home by Monday night.
WHERE ARE THE PARENTS! Sick of seeing these kids out of CONTROL. The parents should have to answer for this ALSO.
No, parents shouldn't answer for their children's crimes.
went out for smokes
Maybe those kids will learn to not rob people.
Lets be honest here. There is no way in hell either of my boys would have a firearm without my knowledge. We know why they had guns, because there parents are not there. WHERE THE HELL ARE THE PARENTS OF THESE THUGS?
in county lockup, where'd you think?
They're getting lawyers so they can sue the victim and try to get a payday.
@@daveincognito because of course they are, this seems to be what they live for, all the shade intended.
12 out at night. that get the law called on momma. and on Christmas eve. was their too many drunks at the Christmas party? or momma left them to go to one?
That child made a very adult decision. It was a stupid decision but a decision all the same.
And they got the adult consequence
There should be no obligation to talk to anyone after self defense especially with the law being so corrupt.
Stop calling them kids. They tried to rob a man with a live gun. Put his life in danger for acouple bucks and found out. This guy better not get into trouble.
The truly sad part of this is that those 12-14 y.o. kids were doing a gang initiation. That is the effed up reality.
Fatherless behavior.
It's the toxic culture that has been accepted as normal.
But the kid that shot up Apalachee High School had a father and he's the one that gave him the gun. 🤔🤔🤔
@@BookOfEli76 Welcome to reality where there is outliers to nature. Can a lion not eat a baby gazelle and attempt to take care of it as if it was its own cub? Yes. Do all lions do that? No. Exceptions dont make the rules for a reason.
Yeah I love how we put the blame always on the father's meanwhile the mother is the one that's there all the time and she went out and chose to sleep with a man she knew wouldn't be there or was going to be in jail very very soon
It’s like that here in my City. These kids are outta control. Over the summer there was an incident in the city when we had a group of kids. The oldest 15 and the youngest 10 stole a woman’s car at gun point.
The amount of positive contributions compared to the amount of negative contributions they bless society with fails to justify their existence as a whole.
The kids thought they was in California or New York 😂😂😂😂
As someone from New York - this is the last thing they would want to do. It’s wilder than Texas by a long shot.
I live in California. I can tell you right now that if this happened here the victim would've been charged
The parents of the three kids need to be arrested and questioned, possibly convicted of child abuse and neglect.
Their was confirmed 4, possibly a 5th.
Their dad's probably already have been arrested, just not for child abuse
In Sacramento California almost every teenager has a firearm illegally according to the police.

You are 100% right where are the parents of these children, parents should be held accountable for these underage delinquents
Not patents, just breeders
How about not breaking up the family. Send the parents to prison with them.
right, where's AOC at?
Their probably already in prison or if not have long rap sheets.
Parent (S)??? Plural?? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Stop trying to charge parents for children's crimes.
YOU PLAY ! YOU PAY !
The saddest thing is that man has to live with that. And the horrible parents and/ or the government are probably going to sue him. Pray for him.
Live with what?
The saddest thing is that these baby criminals thought it was a good idea to rob someone at gunpoint.
lawsuit for this wont fly in Texas maybe in a Blue State
We have to defend ourselves.
We wouldn't be talking about an innocent man being killed in the parking lot, the media would NEVER bring this up so no one would even know this meeting happened.
