Yeah, agreed, that former judge and cop was just reacting like he's been trained. So I respect the honesty of his statement, but it does reinforce that our Establishment still looks down on us plebs.
Vigilantism is enforcing the law on your own. Self-defense is not vigilante action. You are not trying to arrest or punish the person, you are protecting your life. Now if you start intervening in non violent situations with your gun you are taking a chance.
Even as a vigilante you're still a citizen of the United States of America. You're still under the protection of the Second Amendment. If you see a violent felony being committed upon a victim in many cases you have both a right and duty to intervene. However know your local laws and just as important the limits of your CCW and your skill with it.
The Death Wish movies (though they ARE movies) illustrate clearly the foolish mindset of the modern woke fool. In both the old and new versions of the movie, the police just couldn’t get a lead on the scum who attacked Kersey’s family. But they’d move Heaven and earth to find the “vigilante” who was taking out the trash. Hmmmm…..
"taking the law into your hands" If you're defending yourself or your property, you're not taking the law into your own hands. You're exercising your constitutional right !!!
It's *more* than merely "constitutional" right, it's your *human right* to defend yourself, your family and your property. All the Constitution does is codify that human right into law.
I don't believe in there being monopolies on anything including the law. This taking your law into their own hands argument has no impacts or effect on my judgments
I would be careful about using deadly force over property. Knowing when you can use deadly force is important if you don't want to go to prison. If you mean property like your dwelling though, fire away. Mag dump on em.
Criminals have never feared the law. Even in the Old West, when most crimes were punished with death, criminals still robbed and killed people. The only way they were stopped was through death in the moment of a crime.
Exactly…and as a middle aged woman I can attest to seeing far more women…of all ages…both white and black…training at the range REGULARLY. It used to be I was the random woman at the range. Now it’s about 50/50 men and women. These are average women who don’t appear to be doing so for “devious” reasons. Just regular Moms and neighbors who look completely normal who are carrying. Like me..they have decided that the Criminals have gone wild and they’re doing what is NECESSARY to protect themselves. We’re “leveling the field” and preparing ourselves should we be attacked. They are at the range every week.. Thankfully I live in Florida in a county with a Sheriff (Grady Judd) who PROMOTES self protection and who REMINDS the Criminals that they don’t know “who they’re messing with”… as a result, gun violence in at a minimum with the exception of the Democrat heavy ‘bad part of town’. They know to stay away from the county where I’d estimate 90% of the homeowners are armed.
It's not about fear for them, just what they think they can get away with. It's entitlement. And citizens are likewise entitled to defend their lives and property.
We don't take the law into our own hands here in Texas. We take self-preservation and protection of our families into our own hands. Let's get that correct.

Well you have idiots now, you have videos where they shoot at people on the highway in "self-defense." THAT IS taking the law into your own hands, Americans aren't law experts, and people can most definitely abuse their gun privileges and fuck with people. Texas doesn't even background check that's the problem. Thank Republican Greg Abbott who signed "Consitutional Carry" a year before the Uvalde shooting. He made sure criminals can protect themselves too! What, you're saying a criminal doesn't have their constitional right to defend themselves?
The two are not mutually exclusive. Pretending your Batman just because you have a gun and decided to intervene into a dangerous situation does not qualify as self defense, it qualifies as vigilantism. That's what the news reports where trying to say.
“Are you willing to kill to protect yourself or your property?” The real question is “Are you willing to die trying to harm someone or take their stuff?”
John you are apparently a little bit๔h and expect the government to do everything for you..... sorry cupcake but I worked for the government and can tell you that you do not matter to them.
Defending yourself from a violent crime is not taking the law into your own hands, it's defending yourself. If the criminal thinks his life is worth less than my life or stuff. He just might find out it is.

Except two of the stories mentioned involved people killing someone for breaking into a car. Not a car jacking but just breaking into a car. Not sure how that is a violent crime. What next? Someone shoplifts a shampoo and the store owner can put a bullet in the back of their head? If someone's life or that of another is not at risk it seems pretty excessive to be killing people. I just don't see breaking into a person's empty car as warranting being shot to death and left in a ditch when the police could easily be called.
I remember seeing a post on facebook that said something along these lines: "If you are willing to shoot someone who is trying to steal from you it means you value your stuff over their life". For one absolutely, if you're stealing from me I don't value anything about you. Secondly. that means they valued my stuff over their life, and that is not my problem.
Not everyone thinks the same I love people despite what they do to each other but not everyone thinks like me and won't hesitate to kill me which is why it's important to defend yourself because not everyone is not trying to hurt anyone.
Thieves become murderers very easily because sometimes the owner is in the way of them stealing stuff. Home invasion and attempted murder should have the same punishment.
That stupid saying about theft isn't at root about property at all. It's essentially telling you to put your life in the hands of someone who has already demonstrated the intent to steal from you and if they're doing it with a weapon is telling you they're willing to kill you for it. IOW, trust someone willing to kill you with your life.
This isn't a failure of law enforcement. This is a failure of the court systems. Criminals are immediately put back on the streets and know there are no repercussions to committing crime and making the quick buck. There needs to be accountability in our courts and our politicians. Stay safe people, this is going to get worse before it gets better!

When I was a kid 50+ years ago the area we lived in (a huge rural county) had only a Sheriff and a couple of deputies. No problemo. EVERYONE had guns and knew how to use them. The ONLY time we had any violent crime attempted was when some nut from the city 50 miles away decided to blow through town and rob a gas station. I say attempted because it never ended with the perp being alive. In a society of armed and responsible adults cops are not needed to deter crime.
The Supreme Court ruled years ago that police have no obligation to protect you. They're also the ones that came up with qualified immunity (not a law, just the idea).
I learned firearm safety from my grandfather, first thing he taught me was to never point a firearm at something or someone you aren't willing to kill or destroy, even if you think it's unloaded.
In states like New York where I'm from they don't support self-defense so even if you're shooting is justified likelihood you could be facing criminal charges before it's dismissed
once we tribunal and introduce all the Obozo era commies to some nice American hemp and a sturdy spot 10' above the ground,.....then and ONLY then can we see any REAL justice in the USA
In my 42 years I’ve never seen more of a reason to carry a weapon than now. Criminals have zero value for life and imo if they have a gun it’s kos I don’t trust them to let me go after. That store clerk video showed me the mindset and I’d rather fight for my life anyway I can than submit and let them just shoot me on the way out.
Absolutely. On the one hand, I’m happy that we in many states are able to carry firearms to protect ourselves, but on the other hand, I’m also disgusted that the likelihood of us having to use our guns has gone up so much due to incompetent policy making.
@@lokiprepper Democrat liberals inspired the rise in crime and they want to take your fire arms. As a citizen I'd declare my independence and carry at all times.

I mean, if you live in a rich gated community police tend to arrive fairly quickly and will do there job, now for the latter it's a whole different story , and the latter is the demographic that the government and elites want to disarm.
This is 100% a good thing. You don't value your things more than their lives. They valued your things more than they valued their lives, you just defended YOUR life.
I understand the perspective, but personally I don’t value my things over MY life. It’s great when you have the gun and they don’t. That’s easy defense. I’m not convinced armed citizens will actually deter criminals though. This could lead to criminals knowing they better be packing too. What happens when there’s constant firefights every day between citizens and criminals? I don’t see that as 100% a good thing at all. Maybe I’m a bit idealist, but I think that in a fair and just society nobody should feel like they gotta steal shit to make ends meet.
@tubesism that last part, I agree wholeheartedly with. We're far from a fair and just society, though, and some people will always do messed up stuff. I can tell you from living in a constitutional carry state, people are much less likely to give you any trouble than they are in places where gun laws are more prohibitive. It's less about the actual confrontation and more about people knowing there's a chance that if they mess with you, you'll turn them into a parking lot Picasso. I don't want to hurt anyone, but if I'm put into a position where I have go choose between my life or yours, I want to know I have the tools to adequately defend myself. People who are looking to take advantage of other people look for easy marks. I'm a relatively large guy at 6'2" and 240 lbs. Even without a gun, I doubt most people would mess with me... but I'm not changing it. Especially not the way things are today. I wish we lived in a society where nobody needed a gun. @@Tamachii12 that depends on the level of desperation. A hungry lion will attack an elephant if it’s hungry enough and better options aren’t around. This is an extreme example, but I believe the average criminal would stop being so if you gave him a 6 figure job and a hot wife. Who would risk their life on petty robberies when they already have the good life? People who commit armed home/small business robberies generally believe they don’t have other choices to get ahead. I wouldn’t consider armed burglary to be an easy or desirable profession. I think criminals are produced by society/the state. If I gotta shoot some guy breaking into my home I see that as the state has failed me! When I see more and more of these headlines about good guys with guns, I think “wow the state is fucking up! The fact that people can even get in trouble for obvious self defense in this country is disgusting. These criminals are scum and they deserve what’s coming to them when they try to mess with good people.
Radical leftists and democrats-but I repeat myself-continually talk about the “common sense gun laws” in the UK. So let’s look instead at self defense laws of that country. In the UK, self defense is legal, with one caveat: you may only use force proportional to the threat. That sounds almost reasonable. But it is how it is enforced that becomes the issue. In practice, if you injured your attacker, no matter how they were armed, you go to jail, and they likely go free. By the current interpretation, if you injure them, then you used too much force. So in practice, you can only defend yourself as long as you don’t injure your attacker worse than they injure you. Enforced victimhood.
It isn't the lack of officers that has people fed up, its the lawyers and the laws that let many of these people out quickly, or without proper punishment.
Exactly! Omission of legal enforcement leads to a million Independent legal enforcements! In my opinion, it is the courts and the sheriff's that are the criminals. Working for DAs and state officials who are the mob bosses, working for politicians who are the terrorists. And they're the ones doing this and taxing us to give them the power to.

One example is $81,000,000,000.00 left in Afghanistan for our enemies to take over and reverse the technology used on it. Recently decommissioning newer functional war ships. . . Then 'allowing' a communist enemy to buy them our politicians through corporate funding ( From who again ? The only way bad behavior gets corrected is consequences!! Once the "bad guy" realizes they are outnumbered and there is a gun behind every blade of grass, they might think twice because they won't know who will react. But, most criminals aren't very smart. So yes, definitely be fully prepared.
They're not outnumbered. You are. You want what you want. They won't stop because of your fear and hate. Crime has risen, not fallen. What did you expect when everyone gets a gun? A world with less reason and purpose. Where people feel helpless and trapped. With nothing left to lose. Where people treat weapons as the first solution instead of the last. This is the consequnce. Exaamine your own bad behavior before looking for someone to blame. It's those that claim they're capable that are the worst. Pretending to be white knights when fear and panic takes hold of them. Were other options even considered in the first place? Or are people making excuses to try and justify their bloodust and revenge? You feel helpless. They feel trapped. Sun Tzu: "Know thy enemy."
I read a year or two ago that a DA in Dallas said he would not even bring charges against a thief if the theft wasn't over 750 dollars. If I am the owner of that 750 dollars worth of stuff I will have to find my own way to protect it. If that means gunplay so be it.
if this happened everywhere, people would not be as scared and afraid for their safety... meaning government could not strip any more of their rights "for their safety".
In Australia they went the opposite direction and took away guns after a particular shooting. Gun violence dropped significantly over the coming years. Modern studies correlate the mere presence of guns absolutely has an increase in violence, from homicide to suicide.
@Yim Wee "The country has about 2 million privately owned guns in a nation of 8.3 million people. In 2016, the country had 47 attempted homicides with firearms. The country's overall murder rate is near zero." "Applicants for a gun owner’s licence in Switzerland are required to establish a genuine reason to possess a firearm for any purpose other than hunting, sport, and collection" They also Background check. This is in stark contrast to Texas where any private seller can sell to you without a background check.
Such a good point you make here about brandishing your firearm. I'm 74 years old, female, weigh 120 lbs. How hard would it be for me to be overpowered in a circumstance where I'm merely brandishing, rather than having already utilized that marvelous defensive tool. Even in Texas, my home state, open carry isn't always the wisest choice. For me, concealed carry has been a personal preference.
I would be worried about criminals acquiring guns. And as a Texan you have any option under the sun, and so do criminals! Texas doesn't background check. Studies show the mere presence of guns directly correlates to violence from homicide to suicide. Good on you for staying safe and keeping your own protection. Hopefully you never have to use it!
@Purple Emerald No you misunderstand. Texas has made it READILY AVAILABLE for criminals to access weapons. This is very different from an 18 year old miraculously finding a shady dealer to illegally hand them a gun. A private dealer in Texas can sell you a gun without a background check or anything. You can't survey every gun owner to see if they are gonna commit a crime... but the LEAST--the bare minimum--is making it so you can't buy one down the street. It's illegal to murder someone, but it's legal to purchase the gun--regardless of background, to carry the gun--openly if you want, everything up until committing to shooting someone is legal, and trying to find solutions within that narrow band is DISGUSTINGLY difficult. And when the Uvalde school shooting happened state Governors and Representatives didn't even acknowledge this legislation. And the correct response shouldn't be to arm teachers and turn your kid's school into a real life game of Call of Duty. But that's the mainstream gun-nut Republican response. When we look at other countries with less gun ownership per capita we absolutely see significant decreases in gun crime. And usually criminals use whatever they get. So knives, acid, vehicles, etc. But this event where one person mows down dozens of people is almost uniquely an American trend at this point. You might hear the odd story internationally like Christchurch. In America it's MONTHLY, and I'm just saying. The same legislation that allowed the Uvalde shooter to purchase his weapon is still active to this day. To all the Texans out there: GOOD LUCK!
Your message on carrying a gun is exactly the first message my father taught me before he let me even handle a gun. 1. Never point a firearm at a person while handling it 2. If you do point it at someone you should be fearing for your life 3. If you do fire it at someone, it will change your life I can still hear my father saying that to me every time I hold a firearm and I’m 73
God Bless you Brother! My Grandpaw's voice still rings clear in my head today. He bought me my first rifle, and taught me the same thing. I was 7 years old, and could only go out and shoot when he was with me. He even kept the bolt so I wouldn't be tempted to shoot when he was at work. I sure miss him.
ofc, idk about number 3 but it isnt bad advice. For me number 3 was "once you're pushed to point it at someone, your intent should be "shoot to kill" "

Because of the left, we will be living again like we're in the Old West. It's impossible to get a carry permit in Oregon, where they've banned all new sales of guns and are back locked on all aspects of this new gun ban law. The good guys are the one's that'll have to pay by death or injury or placed in prison, for protecting themselves. It's a problem.
Things will get better, just Stop resisting. It is just a matter of time before Texas gun rights will also fall 😏. Join the states that have their gun rights stripped away, FOREVERMORE 😂. It is inevitable. Fighting back to keep your guns is futile; it only makes things harder on yourself.
You forgot, also use what the US Constitution 2A gave you, "The right to keep & BEAR arms." Carry a Gun, train in tactics to properly use your Gun, & always have a Gun accessible in your home, or carried on your person. ALWAYS!!!
@@r.m.m.1706 2A only recognizes the right to bear arms. The right itself can't be given or taken away by human beings or altered through changing the second amendment (only the government's recognition of that right is altered in that case; the right itself remains).
I live in Houston, and yeah, we are beyond sick of this crap. EVERYONE I know conceal carries. And people are also taking advantage of our right to use deadly force to protect property. The first indication the lowlife may have that he has been caught trying to steal your catalytic converter is the sting of 2 or 3 or 4 bullets ripping thru him.
I live in Garland, and even though I haven't carried my firearm with me yet I'm feeling more and more inclined to do so to protect myself and my wife a nd 2 kids.
In Houston: Deadly Force and Defense of Property "In most cases, you must only exercise the degree of force that is necessary to protect your property. As a result, justifications for using deadly force are extremely limited. There are two situations when the use of deadly force in defense of property, as set forth in Texas Penal Code § 9.42, is justifiable: (1) preventing dangerous criminal behavior; or (2) preventing a criminal from escaping." The wrong jury OR shooting the wrong guy can land you in prison. For example: You cut lawns with a push mower for a living and you're not a wealthy man. You shoot and kill a 19 year old teen who tries to steal your catalytic converter. The teen's dad happens to be the biggest electrical contractor in Houston and his son was nothing but trouble from the word go... dropped out of school, got into drugs, etc. (probably poor parenting here but that's another story) This kid's father has a shit ton of money and so....... His attorneys REAM YOU in court, you're found guilty of using excessive force, you are sentenced to 10 years in a state penitentiary where THE REAMING continues. Sounds like fun huh? Bottom line: don't just automatically shoot someone who is stealing your lawnmower. You really wanna kill some young fool for stealing a lawnmower or a bicycle? That's crazy and you might regret the heck out of it. Yes really.
@@johnbarrett5229o what should you do? Let some wacko just steal your car and go off Scot free? That’s not right, as he’s said you need to know the right time to shoot cause the gun laws are designed against you. Tbh idc if I’d go to jail atleast a criminal doesn’t get away with it.

I hate when they say gun owners are "taking the law into their own hands" when they defend themselves. That phrase implies gun owners are acting like vigilantes which is and should always be illegal. Self defense is (at least in most states) and should always be legal.
You are completely wrong at this point vigilante actions are necessary if not the way of new law when nothing is being done on purpose people need to step up.
@@erueka6 I agree that people need to step up and defend themselves and their families but a vigilante is a very different thing. A vigilante is someone who goes out looking for trouble you know like a criminal which is why it's illegal everywhere. A lot of times vigilantes are trouble makers who want to pretend they're heroes when really they're just making the problems worse. Self defense on the other hand is dealing with trouble when it comes to you which is why it's only illegal in places like California. There's nothing wrong with being able and willing to protect yourself and your family when you need to. There is something wrong with going outside the law to try and be a hero.
Anyone using deadly force will get arrested, The police aren't just going to let you walk away without figuring out what happened. If they were justified then they will be free. The laws are very clear on deadly force.
You are going to be arrested after you kill someone. That’s just how it works. And that’s how it should work. You might have acted in self defense, but they still gotta do an investigation. It’s not always open and shut like that.
I had lived in San Antonio Texas for 15 years. Everyone I worked with had a gun (guns). I think what you’re reporting has been going on for a long time, although it’s true that people have shorter fuses these days (myself included). Another phrase for this behavior is FRONTIER JUSTICE.
Mr. Noir, thank you for the informative videos. My daughter and her boyfriend had just moved into the house that they bought in “Umble” Texas when that shooting occurred right near their house. I’m encouraging them to train to defend themselves with the guns that they both own.
Hopefully they move to a safer state! It's insane when your kids move to a state and they have to start worrying about defending their lives. Texas especially being one of those gun crazy/violent states. You hear stories about kids buying ARs and shooting up schools and Walmarts.
Lmao it's spelled "Humble" I used to live in that area. It's not terrible but there's a section in Humble that is pretty sketch so Im not suprised that happened
Carrying a gun is to self defense what CPR and first aid is to a medical emergency. It buys you or someone else that time to survive until the first responders make it to the scene. In both cases we want those responders to come take over ASAP, and in both cases we are liable for our mistakes.
They're not "taking the law into their own hands." They're not vigilantes, they're defending themselves.
Yeah, agreed, that former judge and cop was just reacting like he's been trained. So I respect the honesty of his statement, but it does reinforce that our Establishment still looks down on us plebs.
Even if it is vigilantism, so what? The government has declined to do anything about it so now it falls to the people to do what the government won't.
Hmmmm…..

If you're defending yourself or your property, you're not taking the law into your own hands.

Key words. "Random gunfire". "Without a license". YOU get a gun. THEY get a gun. EVERYONE gets a gun.
Ahem. I'm going to repeat that. EVERYONE gets a gun. Of course crime skyrockted. Did people assume it would solve anything? Fear and desperation leads to panic which increases crime. That's how it goes. Irrational fear leads to anger. Worse yet, many MANY people have no reason or purpose and nothing to lose. I know the statistics of this. Hundreds millions. In the U.S alone. Congratulations. Peoples fear and desperation for safety resulted in an increase in crime. What did you expect? Give people weapons that easily and you bring it on yourself to be frank.
Open Carry is fucking idiotic for regular people
@Purple Emerald No you misunderstand.

"In most cases, you must only exercise the degree of force that is necessary to protect your property. As a result, justifications for using deadly force are extremely limited. There are two situations when the use of deadly force in defense of property, as set forth in Texas Penal Code § 9.42, is justifiable: (1) preventing dangerous criminal behavior; or (2) preventing a criminal from escaping."

Because self defense isn't exactly legal, and they didn't exactly tell everyone.
You are completely wrong at this point vigilante actions are necessary if not the way of new law when nothing is being done on purpose people need to step up.
The time is coming very soon where gun owners can, will and SHOULD take the law into their hands, because we are heading for a civil war.
The sad reality is that when law enforcement is failing, vigilante activity is being incentivized to happen, which is why the law should be enforced.
