I respect your work ethic , I use to work off the clock to clean the company delivery vehicle that I drive but a new supervisor told me that if you are not on the clock, I don't want you here.
@@TheBostonTrucker for me, i might use pieces of mudflaps to go with 2x2 . so that way your metal parts won’t be bent from that trailer parts …nice tractor once again and have a good week..:: mike, do you have arctic fox fuel heater for your tank(both fuel tanks /def tank/fuel lines/ and fuel seperator for your new W900 to help keep fuel go smoothly during the harsh winter?
I was gonna get one of those drying blades but I read reviews that said if your vehicle isn’t completely clean, it can cause scratches. Love you truck and the videos!
A valet bay i used to work in few year ago banned them blades, they were scratching the paintwork. Be worth keeping an eye on that, keep it extra clean.
Hey Boston trucker how are you doing today my friend I love watching your RUclips videos they are very educational videos and I like the content in the videos and keep up the good work
Pride in your ride goes along ways I'm a company driver as well treat my truck like it's like my own and keep it clean even tho it's hard to keep a log truck shiny
Mike another trick get an empty paint can and pour the tire shine in and use a paint brush to apply on the tires. This the best way to protect your rims coming for a firefighter keeping pride in our ride
Sign of a real dump truck driver is to climb into the box and clean it out with a hand shovel. Not with an excavator bucket. At least that's what my Dad taught me 60 years ago. Mike I found the square edged vs the V shaped shovel as you used. Squared edged shovel leaves fewer marks on the floor or the bed. Always great to see the spots around east central Massachusetts where I was raised. Laughed when you talked about going to the Brockton Fair Grounds to practice backing up. Spent some time there also.
For years I would run trucks to the shop ,or have my wife take me to pick up a truck at the dealership or our main terminal. But, elog came out and our safety guy started yapping. I never punched in , didn't care. Happy to care for my truck. Good to know the new truck is working out well. Ceramic coating? Heard a big buzzing about it a few year's ago. Really, any truck in the environments we all operate in needs a little extra protection. Just going down the road after a few years we change out windshields because they're so pitted and "" sandblasted ""! Safe travels and blessings.
I find that if the White nozzle on the Mop and Glow plugs, just pull the white cap off the bottle cap and it lets you pour it out with more control than the cap being taken off. Then just bang the white cap back on the nipple of the cap. Been working well for me after you told us about M&G!
Hai Mike was weer mooie interessante video , met verschillende leuke beelden wat je allemaal vervoerd ook wat je verteld over jou passie voor trucks , ik vind mooi hoe je eigen truck netjes houdt bedankt ervoor gr carel uit holland
Ive been watching your videos for a while now and just want to say the new truck is beautiful. I’m not a trucker just a 45yr old kid at heart that loves trucks. I work on the railroad for Keolis and I worked on the Fitchburg line where the Cardillo yard is. Keep the awesome videos coming
How are you liking the new truck Mike? I think it looks awesome and from the videos inside the cab as your driving it sounds really cool to me from the video anyway, not in the way of sounding likes of an old N14 or series 60 type of sound but awesome as in the way a new different cool noises that a more modern Cummins motor makes if they sound right and yours seems too if that makes sense. I reckon it's cool anyhow mate and hope your enjoying it.
Yo guys should invest in a spot free rinse.. with all that new equipment it will more than pay off.. I gotta agree with another comment about that blade thing . Not sure if it will scratch? Looking good mike!
Love your videos I’m the same way with my wheel loader in our quarry I treat it like I’m making the payment on it and they don’t have to buy me a new one
Hey Mike, I know they are Pete guys, but you should check out semi Casual. They make a set of brackets that bolt to the aftercooler and have firewire strobe lights. With them behind the grill, you don't see them till there on. Something like that might be nice when you move equipment.
Hi Mike name is Jerry dirtstifft2 is the name that appears cause I’ve gave up over the road full time and got into dirt work last 30yrs in summer and OTR in winter, but last 13 been in a hydro vac. I was the one when you was live said I got a chauffeur’s which today is CDL. Like the visor not as gaudy and looks old school and are you gonna get chrome elbows for the exhaust sweet ride though really sweet
Hi Jerry, it's nice to hear from you again. TRP is who did all the custom work, they supposedly special ordered me elbows but they were on back order so I'm waiting for them.
As for ceramic coating, i wont spend the money. But it does last way longer then a reg wax. Good compromise is Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions green lable, pink label for touching up. Do the hood, youll see the difference right away. Try it on your car if u dont wanna put it on truck at first. The beads when it rains, they are micro beads. Soon as u drive, 95% blow right off. Craziest shit ive seen. And it lasts 6mo easy in-between washed, where reg wax in a month hardly beads on a car u wash 4-6times.
@TheBostonTrucker oh not the blade, stop, I use to use one, California care care came out with it 15+ yrs ago, itll leave long fine scratches after awhile. I'd try the Turtle wax spray and a Milwaukee battery blower, or whatever power tools you have, then quick wipe with the microfiber for the drips
Some good advice, always wear your hard hat when loading equipment or materials on a lowbed!! Just saying. Thanks for the video Mike. Truck looks great.
I’ve had ceramic done & I Def don’t think you’re a candidate for it since you already do such a great job taking care of your rig. It does look great and lasts pretty long but it limits what you can do once it’s on. U can’t wax or polish spots out anymore, have to watch the kinds of soap you use, if any water spots or anything etches into it you cant get them out without compromising the ceramic etc… stick with what ur doing its working 👍🏻. If anything, u could add a clear ppf to the nose, headlights etc for protection. The ceramic doesn’t protect anymore than clearcoat does. Imo, Ceramic is more of a permanent wax for people that don’t want to or have time to do much other than just basic washes for upkeep
Hows he have that short utility box set up? Anything fancy? My boss wants to do his pickup, but the last one i saw on a single wheel truck the boxes were small and shallow
Looks like someone dropped concrete against the nose of your trailer. I see a couple of dings. It’s easier to clean on your own time when a company appreciates you. Looks like you wore off on the mechanic. He needs to get his name on the door of his truck.
Not a good look for KW both brand new trucks having to go back to the dealer for failing parts. As a retired diesel mechanic I can see those trucks being nothing but problems.
Hey Mike...I've enjoyed your videos for years (5) but the other day when you decided to take on the promotion for electric bikes, it kind of disappointed me. Every guy will do what he can for his family but saying that your son needs an electric bike for college then promoting it on your channel (just to a get one for free) takes away the whole persona you so well portray and established. It just seems like a regular hard working guy that loves trucks, like yourself, would have payed for that bike and not use the popularity of the "Boston Trucker". You used your notoriety and huge fan base to help your family (which I guess most guys in that position would have done) but somehow, and I could be wrong, it painted a different picture. Do you know what I mean? Is an electric bike essential for college . BTW, that new KW is beautiful, you added just the right touches! Just my thoughts.
You make a few valid points. but people whether their celebrities or RUclipsrs get paid for promotions, it's actual work and my time to promote an ad. I get paid to promote by a couple companies who think my audience might get something out of my promotion whether they do or they don't. Just like ypu see commercials during my videos, RUclips is making money for advertisement. Commercials aren't free, when you see an actor promoting a product they're getting some sort of compensation right? Maybe you don't like seeing me doing better with my life and that's why you don't like seeing me in this capacity. I'm still a blue collar guy but as i get more known, there are going to be more opportunities for me, I try to make them interesting for you but sometimes maybe yoi should just not watch. For example, since I made that bike ad, two more companies want me to review their bikes and I'm going to do that, not for free though. I appreciate your support and thoughtful commentary but I won't judge you on how to make money and better your family life. Peace and grease!
Why would you put tire shine on a dump trailer that's like putting lipstick on a pig. I got better things to do with my time than clean somebody's truck especially when your not getting paid for it. I don't do free work.😂
I respect your work ethic , I use to work off the clock to clean the company delivery vehicle that I drive but a new supervisor told me that if you are not on the clock, I don't want you here.
I love the use of mud flap pieces for the low bed neck. We used to use four by fours!!😂😂😂
Four by fours! I think I'd 😭 😉
