What a story, MK11 was Ninja's first offline competive game where he was trying to beat the "online warrior" accusations and in MK11's grand finale, he comes full circle and wins on the biggest stage of them all. Amazing. Nicolas and Scorpionprocs had so many players talking amongst each other on how to beat them, they're gonna be forces to be reckoned with in the NRS scene moving forward. Now we roll to MK1

Yes, the game is not perfect, but this EVO was so great so legendary that we will definitely miss this game. Congrats to Ninjakilla for winning after one of the most epic runs ever, congrats to the Twins that revigored the scene with an almost perfect gameplay and congrats to everyone that had a part in this tournament, the other players, the talent, the staff, everyone. Amazing competitive game. Throw OS that was never fixed. Breakaway that was never well introduced. Variation system that ended up being scrapped...come on. It's fun, but let's relax.
Love the reset. The back and forth and the game coming down to that 1 critical round. I could never control the adrenaline I would feel to input the character moves.
These twins remind me of the two you fight in Super Punchout for the Super Nintendo. I still can't believe how disciplined and focused Ninjakilla had to be to beat both of them. He's knows something I don't about Fujin cause I wanted him to switch it up and tag in his Liu Kang. That last match was a heart stopper.

At one point, I think NK had 7 straight wins on the twins. I mean, if you've watched them compete in the last 1.5 years. That would sound unfathomable for even NK, Sonic or any NRS goat you wanna throw out there. The drama was incredible. Some neervous moments from both Chileans and NK, respectively. But NK, stood solid and didnt get demoralized when the twins eeked on clutch moments. In fact, NK gave it right back to them with some clutch victories to steal rounds. Best tourney Ive seen.

This is Evo. The biggest gaming tournament in the world. Everyone travels here to attend. You can argue that it's in the USA, but no other tournaments are doing it this big. There has to be some incentive to travel to Latin America to play. If they do not have huge payouts, no one is traveling there to play for clout and reputation. They are playing for big money payouts.
