    Mine has been struggling to get the back tires spinning whenever there's remotely any pressure put on them so I plan to follow this series and hope that the problem gets fixed along the way. Love what you've done with the truck

      I appreciate the comment and your interest in the series. You will not be let down if you do what I did. I have filled the box with rocks to the point that the truck had no suspension left and that did not even hold it back. If you have any questions , don't hesitate to ask.

    Bulletproof, rock solid 1/18 scale K10 Chevy pickup. Nice upgrades man. Just picked one of them off Amazon should be here Friday. I plan on doing the exact same upgrades but I'm new to RC and wasn't sure what would work or where to go.
    i do own a 77 K10 Sierra Classic that is a work in progress. I plan on making he RC look exactly like the real one. Thanks for the info and getting me started in the right direction.

      I appreciate your time watching my content and checking out the channel. Please be advised that the most current video in this series is the most up to Date as to what works and what does not. You will be tempted by cheap prices but don't be fooled like I was. When it comes down to this truck. You really do get what you pay for. If you have any questions. Please do ask them and I'll do my best to point you to the right direction. I have wasted so much money on this platform then my wife wants to know about...

    So I bought an Easy Rc glacier, I just ordered some metal diff gears, that supposedly fit (for FMS 1/18 FJ) I was wondering if all the parts are interchangeable between the EasyRc truck and that FMS one, such as the shocks you have there. Your setup looks awesome by the way, I might get a redcat gen 8 soon but i'm starting small

    • @rccustomcreations
      @rccustomcreations  Год назад

      Thank you for taking the time to check out my content. The glacier and the fms k10 are identical with the exception of licensing for the chevy body used on the k10. The glacier may use some plastic components where the fms k10 uses metal ( that i am not sure ) as for parts swapping, there from the pictures of the easyrc glacier and comparing the two , i beleive all parts are compatible with one another 😉. Thanyou for the comment about my build, its been a love hate build . Mainly because of the amount i have spent on incompatible parts ,hoping that i could modify them. My goal is not to modify the chassis or body wich made things more challenging. If you havent subscribed then please feel free to do so . There is a set parts on there way to me that you will want lol im keeping what it is a secret untill i know for sure that they will work. Hope to see more of your comments and questions .
      Cheers bud 👍

    Looks very good, where did you buy all the suspension parts and how much where they all together? Can you order them all on one website?

      Im going to start by suggesting you take a look at the following video about this build.
      ruclips.net/video/xMsDQjBhHto/видео.htmlsi=VCgYyCeTA5nxTAWY
      This video is the final video to this build series and in the description, you will find links to every component i used to get the final build the way it is. This truck was not really targeted by parts suppliers to upgrade, so no, you can not buy complete kits . The 4 link suspension is a combination of parts purchased separately put together . Alli express and banggood are both great spots to buy most of the components used in this truck. Amazon and ebay for the remainder.
      The links are made using the following components...
      8 x m2 aluminum rod ends
      8 sections of m2 threaded rod ( buy it in 12 inch lengths and cut to desired size with a dremel tool or hack saw)
      8 sections of M4 seamless stainless tube ( bought in 12 inch lengths and cut to size with a 1/2 inch pipe cutter , dremel tool will work as well)
      Some heat shrink tubing is also required .
      This next video link includes a section that shows how i assembled the links

      One more note i failed to include about the links. You can not buy a complete set that is made to fit these k10 trucks. The front links are the only links available in pre fabricated components. The rear end of these trucks is too long for any aftermarket links to fit without drilling holes in your frames

    • @rccustomcreations
      @rccustomcreations  Год назад +1

      FCX24 links work? I have ordered way too many link sets for other trucks that do not work that I have lost hope in finding a quality set that fits and functions properly... I'll re-visit this one last time with the home made tube style links and after that I'm done lol... Do you have a link to offer for a set that has been proven to fit and function properly. I appreciate your comment and will sub to your channel for doing so... Thank you

      @@rccustomcreations what about the fms Apache rear links?

    • @rccustomcreations
      @rccustomcreations  Год назад +1

      I can't recall for sure, but I think rcawd made extended rear links for the scx24 and even those wouldn't work without modifications to the chassis. Can't recall if they were too short or if they would have required an additional center trans mount installed behind the first one with modification.... Long story short, I ha e ordered several sets of links with no good direct bolt on for the rear. Lots work for the front end. This is why I decided to do custom tube links

    This truck will not be bullet proof if you don't put metal differential gears in the diff because they come with plastic gears that break really easy

    • @rccustomcreations
      @rccustomcreations  Год назад +1

      Thank you for taking the time to view my content, and leaving a comment. I'm not sure but feel like I have done a video that has touched on your comment topic. My Transmission has the upgraded steel gears installed. And warned others about the truck fms did to make it look as if there was a steel gear set installed if I recall only the out put shaft was metal and all the gears including the gear on the output shaft are plastic.
