- This is an Ableton Live Performance using Akai Apc40 mk2, Novation Mininova and Launch Control XL. I prerecorded some samples in Ableton Live and then improvised by using the Novation Mininova for the synth part and Launch Control XL for the effects.
Thanks for watching and if you like it hit the like and subscribe button!
3 years and i keep coming back to this video. i got the apc and it's fantastic even though i don't use it much, but i'm planning on getting a mininova and using them together for live performances. i've just been djing my stuff for playing live, and i like watching you and other artists doing more of this kind of thing, where you can improvise and make every performance a little unique. it's more interesting watching people perform live than just sort of pressing play lol. plus i like listening to you play this jam 🖤💮
That's my dream set up! APC40 MK 2, MINI NOVA, ETC...
This is so sick, I was just looking for reviews on MIDI launch controllers and this came as a suggested video. Great performance!
nice sound!
Cool jam... by the way, what table is that?
I love it!
Is the launch control to control 16 tracks?
3.30 would make a great DnB drop.
Very nice !
Thanks Ed :) 😍
Hey I'm looking at the apc40 and the launch control to incorporate into a hybrid hardware and VST setup with Abelton. Which would you recommend, or is there something else you think I should consider? Thanks!
Edit - Interested mainly in faders for volume control, and programmable knobs for sends/fx (possibly device too - given that comes with the apc)
Hey, this depends a lot on your setup.I think the apc and the launch control complement eachother very well. I use the apc for controlling ableton instruments and clips and the launch control for my effects busses. The best way is to experiment because everyone has a different setup and you need to find which one works for you. Maybe start with the launch control since its cheaper and then you will see if you need to get the apc as well. Hope this helps 👍☺️
