Thank you for taking the time to make this video for us on the fence about the Push and APC. It sounds like having both together is a winning combination.
Great video showing the differences between the two, man! I'm actually thinking the APC could work side by side with the Push, the Push as an instrument, and the APC as the mixer. Could be absolutely amazing!
I think they were designed to work TOGETHER.. not replace one another :) (IF playing live is in your path) Im just more concerned only having 8 channels... I spoiled myself and have a Studio live presonus 64 channel mixer but its a pain to travel with. I do like having more channels to have stems on, but I suppose only working with 8 channels at a time isnt uncommon. Is there a way to sequence them both in ableton? Like using the push as the MIDI instrument and then directly have the MPK control that channel? IM ONLY NOW getting into ableton... after using Logic and Reason... so I LOVE simplicity. Why I was also torn between Push or APC since it'll make it simple to learn yet another new DAW.
I tried both, and ended up preferring the APC40. Like you said the immediacy is much more intuitive when it comes to mixing and jamming out clips. Push is just too busy, especially since I use a keyboard for melodic elements, and a drum machine for beats.
I hear ya, yeah definitely depends on what you're going for. One thing I wish, is that the APC had a screen, at least to show the track names and such at the top and maybe some other parameters. But I do like the layout.
Hey bro, I really appreciate your videos. We need more users like you contributing to the knowledge database of music producers and enthusiasts alike. Keep providing free information for those who really need and appreciate it! Rock on. Xx
I completely agree that when you add an audio track in Push that it would be nice to have the option to select the input source...I'd also like the ability to change the monitor type for the selected track from Push.
I have been making beats for a little over a year now with the maschine mk2. I HIGHLY recommend it I had ZERO experience making beats prior and the native instruments software is AMAZING if you are a beginner you should get the mk2
Nic Otter Thanks for watching, I really dig both, using together was great, but if I'm forced to choose one for me it's Push because of the extra workflow buttons and things you can do with the controller. I do wish Ableton would do something like Push with some faders and options that lend itself to arrangement view for those that work in that mode.
Brilliant video - really helpful! This has been a 6 month-long dilemma for me, but thanks to the video I think the APC is my best bet, as I'm predominately using controllers in a performance aspect. Thanks a lot for posting - you've helped me out loads! :-)
Pete Black Cool, glad to help, yeah if you really need the faders/buttons it's a great choice. Both can be used for performance, and both can be used for production, but each has it's own strengths and I think if you're dealing more with channels, buttons, faders, and macros, APC is a great choice.
Good job on this vid, dude. I have both the APC and the Push, and my Push has largely went unused so far. I just can't seem to get my mind around it for production sake. I have vowed to give it another chance though. Definitely won't be stepping up to the Push 2 until I can figure out this damned thing.
+SoundsAndGear.com Stuck is not exactly the word I'd use. I've had my Push for about a year or so, and have considered selling it at least 10 times, but something keeps me from going through with it. I'll fire it up every now and then and marvel at how cool of a machine it is, then I won't touch it for 2 months. Honestly, I can't put my finger on it (pun intended). I don't know what is preventing me from taking off with this thing, but it just doesn't inspire me. I find the APC40 a much more useful device and way more intuitive. Maybe that's it. The Push doesn't seem intuitive to me. It seems like a lot of needless dicking around when I can hop into Ableton, drag clips and loops in and out with ease and trigger them with the APC40. It probably comes down to the fact that I'm kind of a quasi-newbie at music production and Push just adds one more layer of hassle to the mix. Not sure if you've ever seen Novation Launchpad for IOS. Now this shit is simple to use and highly intuitive, but doesn't sound all that great. I thought Push would be something like that, but it just seems like a pain in the ass. But! That's just me spouting off. Other people have mastered this thing and maybe I'm just jelly. lol...
+Tom Goodson Ahahaha I hear ya. The two are definitely different. Though you could use Push for launching clips as well if you want, it just does more on the production side of things as well. If you're interested in help with Push I have a site dedicated to it at pushtutorials.com :)
@@tomgoodson345 Its just how its ALL SPLATTERED there with no explanation. IT seems you're a VISUAL learner.. so the PUSH will be a pain in the ass (Take it from me.. I've tried playing with my buddies and I had to change to logical thinking instead of visual... and that sucks) It's a hard curve to "PUSH" through (no pun intended) but doable. Just if you're "uncomfortable" with a device.. it makes enjoying it and learning it a bit more difficult. I was turned away with the 1200 price at the time, but Im seeing the Push two go for around 400 now so I was debating to try it again fully on my own, since it seems indeed like a marvelous.. intuitive MIDI instrument/controller. Just so baron and it frustrates me when I VISUALLY cannot see explanations lol.
Thank you for another helpful and informative video. I have the original APC40, and have been looking at the Push since Ableton announced the 20% off deal. This video has given me the final 'push' into buying one, as I think it will complement the APC well, and not be redundant.
Great video! I'm not really a musician but I like creating music and beats (does that make me a musician?). I'm still a noob in Ableton Live but the more I use it the more I absolutely love it. It's truly an ingenious designed software. I bought the M-Audio Axiom Air 49 which seamlessly integrates with Ableton but the trigger pads aren't the best. I started looking at the Novation Launchpad which I think I'll get first and graduate to the Push. Protools is quickly becoming that creepy old guy in the club!! I'll be purchasing the Push this year.
Great comparison video, thanks!Helpful and informative as usual. I use both controllers live and studio together, BUT i've found some problems using both USER MODES;weird MIDI behaviour and strange interactions between shared functions However, if Akai's user mode is not in use, the setup is very efficient!
This was a really nice overview. Very helpful. I was glad to find this. I haven't seen many direct comparisons between these 2. It was nice you showed the strengths of each and why you might like certain features vs others. I have the original apc40 and I love it. I've used the hell out of it. I also like how solidly built it is. I realize the mkII has some updated features/diff chassis, but still pretty close to the same idea there. I have been wondering about the redundancy of the features compared between the push and apc so this was good. I have been kind of considering getting a push here in the next cpl months (cuz yeah both would be ideal lol), but wasn't sure if I should just wait and buy some other gear I want first. It seems like push would be best for getting your ideas sketched out quickly and effectively; whereas the apc is best suited for live performance and manipulation of ideas live. I have some things to think about now for sure.
SalemElectro7 Thanks for the comment man, glad this video helped. I know it was something I got asked often plus something I wanted to know myself before I had a chance to try both. Definitely down to how you like to work and what you want to do.
I used to have APC mk1, and now got the Push. I still miss the faders of the APC. But got round that with an Korg Nano fader. Not idea having two boxes, but it's the best option. Not unless Akai has a baby of the APC & Push combined.
Yeah I hear ya, if you really like faders then apc is the way to go, I suppose like you said another controller just for faders could be useful. Even the Novation sl zero or other fader controllers. I don't find I miss them too much though once I have Push knobs dedicated to volume mode. But there's definitely something about just reaching for a fader real quick.
SoundsAndGear.com Hey i been mixing for 3 years now and I'm really interested in learning some production.. To be honest I'm still quite new to ableton. Im still learning how to make beats and basslines and i got an offer for this product (APC 40 older version).. Im not pretending to use it to play it live but i thought it might be a helpful tool for producing... is it helpful or should i save money and buy something better... by the way, im getting it for 200$ and is pretty much new... what should i do? Thanks
I bought the Push2 and it´s the far superior controller. if you can only have one controller go with the Push. but the Akai is a very nice controller too. like it a lot. so i have them both (some kind of overkill but they really complement each other very well like described in the Video. SoundsAndGear thanks! your videos are the best and full of solid and helpful Information.
Jan-Michael Matos-Reyes Thanks for watching, which one do you prefer, or do you like both? I think both are dope, and work well together for sure. I can't do without the extra edit/workflow buttons of Push though lol.
Wow this video is over 5 years old already. Funny that these devices are still two of the main contenders for ableton surface devices. BTW you forgot to mention that the Push is about 2.5 times more expensive. Definitely a factor for most people.
From what i see it's kinda worth to have both like you have. the push for productions and Apc for the live performances... cus it has a nice layout and such... of course it always depends on the user... and depends on how you work and hows your workflow... nice video! peace!
Fantastic, just what I needed to hear - I'm live so its APC for me...the non-dedicated mute / solo / buttons are an absolute deal breaker. I bet I'll be able to find a cheap push 2 hear in a couple years as well for those production specific features. Plus, scrolling wheels are cringe! Thanks again for the great review, cheers.
Nice Job! My comment is, if one wants to learn LIve or is new to using Ableton Live, from experience I'd say wait and get Push when you are very familiar with LIve. It seems APC40 MKII might be the place to start as it's features are "like 1-1" with Push. Learn Live. Then buy a Push. Thanks for this nice presentation.
Great video! Iv had a Push for just over a year but only really got to play with it in the last few months, as it is a bit "different", like joe said.I use it with a Novation impulse. Having said that once I put the time in found it really good for writing. Love the scales button, as im not a very good keyboard player its allowed me to write some half decent chord progressions. Using the drum rack and un-quantized step sequencer is also great for getting ideas going. My biggest problem is I dont really use session view and as far as I know Push cant "write" on the timeline in arrangement view.
Yeah it's pretty "session view" focused indeed, maybe they will do some updates or come out with something that works well for both views. I guess they could make an arrangement view where each row represents a track though. maybe the pads could represent the size of the loops or something? Thanks for watching!
@@jelly8594 Honestly I've never been a big arrangement view fan so I haven't really checked. Also haven't used Push much in a while, more on the Force/MPC/Maschine vibe.
It seems to me that the push can be used as an intrument and the APC40 is awesome as a way to control all your clips out of the box. Both are important.
Very good review. I am buying an APC soon as I want to start doing live sets and I don't need another production tool like Push...but the fact that you cannot see what a knob is on an APC is pretty annoying, as it means I would have to llok at the screen of my laptop...whatever, better than spending 1,200 EUR on ac Octatrack and take 3 years to learn it
Thanks for the video. I have a Push and have been using it for producing. Later this year I'll dj at a party but I'd want to change things up and do it with the Push. It'll be a lot of preparation. I'll probably use the external mixer that's available in the club so probably I don't really need the faders (though I will be limited to two channels). But I'm afraid I won't be able to quickly change effects with the Push. You need to tap the device button and then find the right effect in order to change it. Really doubting about getting the APC, with it's rotary encoders, or using perhaps the Push in user mode for the effects...
+SoundsAndGear.com Thanks VERY much for this great and very informative video, really helped me a lot to make up my mind. I loved that you put so much emphasis on creation vs. performance, because that's the main aspect for me and that makes me lean towards the Push now that I've watched this. Cheers from Germany!
Great video St. Joe. I imagine the pad response is a factor on the Push. Could you touch on that? No pun intended. Any chance of you doing a video creating a basic rhythm track using Push? Those leaning towards APC probably would like a video on it as well. Thanks again St. Joe. Happy Holidays. logiclab
logiclab1 You can actually adjust the pad response to your liking, I rarely ever use it as a pad controller since I have Maschine, but it's definitely an option for those that would. I will probably do some more videos though showing different aspects of it.
Yes I know what Push 3 offers, but that doesn’t change this comparison much at all, which is more about the layout of each device. One is more of a mixer and one is more of a performance instrument.
You don't need a screen... You got the software you're controlling on a nice computer screen in front of you... Just my opinion. I despise tiny menus! The push looks great! but I really appreciate the faders and the pots
Akai form factor APC40 , a part of the dedicated pads, it could have been a universal controller. Wish Akai would be able to make a complete rotary encoders new style controller for universal uses.
Seems like Launchpad can do most of the things Push does, but the screen really makes the difference. Launchpad is just so much better price point, for that extra 1k I could setup a tablet to show that same info and still have $700 left over for other toys, but the Push is convenient.
Nice video, informative. Good review of both units, but I don't see how you can compare the two? The two units are not even in the same price bracket. I think the Push is like twice as expensive as the MK2. Push and Machine would have been a better comparison. My dbad if you already did that match up. If not, I really think you should compare Machine and Push. Maybe Push 2 with Machine studio?
Thanks for watching. I compared them because they are both purpose made specifically for Ableton Live and everyone kept asking about which one they should get, so I'd say they are very comparable in my opinion ;)
Great review, thanks! Anything change now with Push 2? I have the APC and am definitely more geared towards performing my produced tracks live rather than live production. I like the dedicated knobs/buttons/faders for that reason, and I'm comfortable with the mouse/keyboard workflow in the studio especially since the computer is there regardless. Just curious if that aspect (live performance vs studio production) has changed in your view with Push 2?
I'm not a live performer so it's not something I really focus on, however I still think the same applies, especially with the faders and crossfader on the APC. They work well together too but I still think APC was more focused on the live performance aspect where Push is more of an instrument.
Helpful vid bro. You ever use touchable...? The big benefit being that you can see the clip names. I'm currently trying to find a way to make ableton jive with studio one and maschine in one big smooth workflow
David Carlyon Yep, Touchable is dope, but there's something to be said for actual faders/buttons, etc. I definitely think Touchable is a nice app though.
Nice video mate.... Might have to buy both then make up my mind ! I recently bought a Maschine mk11 to help out with samples and to get away from looking at the laptop when starting a track But learning another daw is frustrating , the maschine sampler pads definitely feel better than push pads I think at the end of the day ABLETON need to listen to what people need!!! maybe even combine the apc+push to one controller Anyway thanks again
Yeah man, thanks for watching, they really do work well together, all depends on your workflow. And I love Maschine of course, use it with Ableton all the time :) As for learning Maschine, I just released a new training course for it with lynda.com aimed at those just getting started with it Called "Up and Running with Maschine 2" if you're looking for something like that :) www.lynda.com/Audio-Music-DAWs-tutorials/Up-Running-Maschine-2
Hey you said you'd like to set you're audio inputs and outputs on the push instead of taki g the mouse and doing it on the computer, there's a way tomdo that, you just need to set up an external instrument or effect and save it as a preset, now you could load it with the browser.
Blaste Flame Yeah, I've done that before, but I'd prefer to be able to set it when adding an audio track, which would be faster than browsing for an external instrument due to how the browser works and pushes all your own content to the bottom lol.
I use both of them since I am new to the use of the apc it frustrates me a lil but in due time individually the mk2 frustrates me due to the fact that u cant track edit from the controller and I have a bit of a learning curve with the push I luv it because for me it eleminates the use of using a middi keyboard and sounds great and is easy to use I would luv to master both so any advice on that would be great ableton is my main daw about to try bit wig but my hart says settle with reasons 8 so mastering a daw is also my goal but both are great if u can get both if u have to choose I say push thanks for this video joe peace
Yeah man, using both together is really great. I know a lot of people can't do that, and are looking for one to go with. So hopefully this helps them out. Both are useful though and I really miss the faders of the APC when I'm using Push, but Push offers a lot more for my own workflow with all those edit/operational buttons that I love. As for mastering them, it's just about using them more and more, when I first got Push I only used one or two buttons and I'm still finding out new stuff about it each day. I feel the APC is a bit more immediate because of the layout but like you said no track editing and things. Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it.
So the APC40 can run on Ableton live 9 correct? I've been wanting to get into producing and I've been looking into buying Ableton live 9 intro with the APC40.
Your videos are the best! I have a question, I am a Chapman Stick Player/bassist. I play a lot of World Music and Jazz fusion as a sideman. I was looking to integrate Push/Abletonlive9 to a live setting to support what I do on bass and Stick. looking to trigger World Instruments, drums etc. I am a complete nudie when it comes to Ableton and Push. I love playing live. What do you think. Thanks man, and hope your new year is awesome.
Thanks for watching Randy! I'd say give it a shot, maybe download the Live demo first to see how things work? Do you want to trigger loops or actually play the world instruments? Either way you could get it done with Live for sure.
I have also been investigating Machine jam and Studio as well. I am leaning toward their stuff. I do want to trigger loops and also play the instruments as well. I am mainly a Chapman Stick player... I run my instruments through a QSC touch mix into 2 K12 monitors. any direction you can give me would be much appreciated. thanks so much for your input.
Can you do a push vs maschine video? I have a push but I've been thinking about getting maschine for chopping samples. It seems to have a better workflow for the sample chopper. Push seems to be better for someone who wants to play out melodies.
imseneca Thanks for watching. I wouldn't even compare the two, as you can't really chop samples directly on Push, not like Maschine. Very different in my opinion, so if you're looking to chop samples you'd want to look at Maschine or the Akai Ren/Studio stuff.
Great Video! Very informative. How would you link them to be able to use them together? I also have the apc key25. I’m new at this so apologize for my question being so basic. Thanks
I should have gotten this instead of Push 2, which I haven’t been able to even use because it just doesn’t work currently for me with Live 12 ;( this is my first controller and daw and I’m super bummed, if I had one of these, probably would be able to start a finish a track in a no time, will continue to try to get the Push 2 to connect but probably be easier to sell it and get an APC40
@@SoundsAndGear yes, just haven’t been reached out yet, hopefully something can be done about it soon, still gonna try to figure it out but definitely not plug in play like it’s advertised
Hey st joe! Long time no speak. I finally got a push a few weeks back. How you still diggin yours? Do you still use maschine too? I still really miss my maschine. Really regret that I never used it just as a drum/ groove box. I tried to do everything with it and I think while it can do that, it really shines as a groove box. I use Ableton but I also use studio one more and more and more and I just love it. So although I have push, I miss my maschine when I'm in studio one - which is all the time Plus I just missed the komplete kontrol deal by a few days. All in all a bit of a fail for me this month! Hahaha

Thanks for watching!
Wish I knew who thumbs down this video I'm going to punch👊 them in the face. Great video playa.
Ahahahaha, no worries man I'm only concerned about those who appreciate the info. Thanks for watching!
i had the same toughts
Mandy Lane Thank you for the support!
ahahahahahaha
SoundsAndGear.com Hey i been mixing for 3 years now and I'm really interested in learning some production.. To be honest I'm still quite new to ableton. Im still learning how to make beats and basslines and i got an offer for this product (APC 40 older version).. Im not pretending to use it to play it live but i thought it might be a helpful tool for producing... is it helpful or should i save money and buy something better... by the way, im getting it for 200$ and is pretty much new... what should i do? Thanks
Thanks for watching *****
Very informative review! The man shares really helpful hands-on experience -- and enthusiasm as you would be using it.
Todd Carlsen Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching! Yes, Push 2 is great!
Keep rambling. This is better than most reviewers that are trying to do "real" ones.
LOL, thanks for the support I just try to let it flow organically, sometimes that comes out as rambling on hahaha.
Thank you for putting this video. Useful indeed.
Thanks for watching.
Great comparative video, thanks a ton.
Kelly Warner No problem, thanks for watching.
So informative and helpful. Thanks mate.
Thanks for watching!
Solid video man. Thanks for this
Travis Case Thanks for watching!
Thank you. Been waiting so long for one of these vids
Thanks for watching!
Thanks a lot. I'm going for the Push))
+JR. SchwinG Thanks for watching!
From what i see it's kinda worth to have both like you have. the push for productions and Apc for the live performances... cus it has a nice layout and such... of course it always depends on the user... and depends on how you work and hows your workflow... nice video! peace!
yeah they work well together also
Grate video really helped Push for me!
Thanks for watching!
thx, great reviews man, as always!
+Mirko Lazarevic Thanks for watching!
Exactly what I was looking for! Thanks a lot for helping me chose... But I think I'll wait for an hypothetical Push 3 in November :-)
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching!
i really dig this comparison- thx
+Vicente Di Tagle Thanks for watching!
Brilliant review!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching, really depends on how you like to work. I know many who only use Live because of Push.
Dope review...this helps a lot.
Thanks for watching bro.
You are not rambling. Thanks for honest and unbiased review.
Thanks, glad to help, thanks for watching!
@@SoundsAndGear 8 years later, is it still only session view?
@@jelly8594 Honestly I've never been a big arrangement view fan so I haven't really checked. Also haven't used Push much in a while, more on the Force/MPC/Maschine vibe.
It seems to me that the push can be used as an intrument and the APC40 is awesome as a way to control all your clips out of the box. Both are important.
Yeah, definitely depends on what you're looking for.
Very good review. I am buying an APC soon as I want to start doing live sets and I don't need another production tool like Push...but the fact that you cannot see what a knob is on an APC is pretty annoying, as it means I would have to llok at the screen of my laptop...whatever, better than spending 1,200 EUR on ac Octatrack and take 3 years to learn it
I hear ya! Thanks for watching, good luck with the APC!
Thanks for watching.
Yeah they definitely work well together @kristallin
+SoundsAndGear.com Thanks VERY much for this great and very informative video, really helped me a lot to make up my mind. I loved that you put so much emphasis on creation vs. performance, because that's the main aspect for me and that makes me lean towards the Push now that I've watched this. Cheers from Germany!
+Christian Junge Glad to help, thanks for watching!
Thanx for giving a helpfull overview!!
Thanks for watching!
Great video! You really helped me.
Rick. D Glad to help!
Thank you very much man! Much love
Glad to help!
akai better for live. All I need to know. I definitely like having faders and knobs. Thanks for the review man.
Cool, thanks for watching!
Very interesting. Thank you for the response.
No problem.
I will probably do some more videos though showing different aspects of it.
great video, thanks for sharing this info.
Thanks for watching!
SoundsAndGear do you use the launchpad pro?
No, my main device for Ableton Live is Push 2.
Thank you for the video. Subscribed.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you... I appreciate this video...
No problem, thanks for watching.
We need an update with Push 3!
I don't have a Push 3, but not much has changed if comparing the two.
@@SoundsAndGear oh yes, standalone, battery, MPE, audio interface, you can even plug an APC40 directly into it as a tributary
Yes I know what Push 3 offers, but that doesn’t change this comparison much at all, which is more about the layout of each device. One is more of a mixer and one is more of a performance instrument.
Thanks, great video.
thanks for watching
Too bad Akai discontinued the APC 40 - just when I was thinking I really wanted one!
Dang. Do they only make the mini and the 64 now?
Great video ill get push for christmas thanks...
Nauj182 Nice, it's a great controller!
Push 2 with Launch Control XL is a good combo ;) Maybe together with an APC 🤔
Nice combo for sure!
Thanks, man, really cleared my mind. It's time to sell my APC and go for Push! ;)
HarlequinIsland Glad to help, thanks for watching!
In my opnion: Akai MPC 40i to Producing at Studio and Push to Live Performances
Thanks for watching!
You don't need a screen... You got the software you're controlling on a nice computer screen in front of you... Just my opinion. I despise tiny menus!
The push looks great! but I really appreciate the faders and the pots
+Epicsburg I come from hardware, I like screens on controllers lol.
great video
+Rexsell Hardy Jr. Thanks alot for watching!
great video !
Akai form factor APC40 , a part of the dedicated pads, it could have been a universal controller. Wish Akai would be able to make a complete rotary encoders new style controller for universal uses.
Thanks for watching!
Seems like Launchpad can do most of the things Push does, but the screen really makes the difference. Launchpad is just so much better price point, for that extra 1k I could setup a tablet to show that same info and still have $700 left over for other toys, but the Push is convenient.
Yeah, the screens make a huge difference for sure.
Thanks SuperDrMaximum
Great video thanks👍👍👏👏
Thanks for watching
Helpful vid bro. You ever use touchable...? The big benefit being that you can see the clip names. I'm currently trying to find a way to make ableton jive with studio one and maschine in one big smooth workflow
David Carlyon Yep, Touchable is dope, but there's something to be said for actual faders/buttons, etc. I definitely think Touchable is a nice app though.
Can you use the sequencer while running loops on the Akai
Not sure what you mean
great video, thanks
Thanks for watching!
Nice video mate.... Might have to buy both then make up my mind !
I recently bought a Maschine mk11 to help out with samples and to get away from looking at the laptop when starting a track
But learning another daw is frustrating , the maschine sampler pads definitely feel better than push pads
I think at the end of the day ABLETON need to listen to what people need!!! maybe even combine the apc+push to one controller Anyway thanks again
Yeah man, thanks for watching, they really do work well together, all depends on your workflow. And I love Maschine of course, use it with Ableton all the time :)
As for learning Maschine, I just released a new training course for it with lynda.com aimed at those just getting started with it Called "Up and Running with Maschine 2" if you're looking for something like that :)
www.lynda.com/Audio-Music-DAWs-tutorials/Up-Running-Maschine-2
Have both, using push for instrumental shit (playing, automatiztions etc) and apc40mk2 for arrangement. in same time
Demetri Adamov Yep, they work great together if it's in the budget. Some can only go for one so just trying to highlight how they compare.
Interesting, I mostly use loopypro on the ipad so I reckon the apc is my best bet.
Cool, thanks for watching!
Quality review
Now that these have dropped in price in the Used market, they're more available for me and I ran into the Akai, hard decision
thanks for watching
Thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it.
good review
+Franz S Thanks for watching!
I have a apc40 mk2 and a mini midi mk3 is it possible to work with both at same time ...
So the APC40 can run on Ableton live 9 correct? I've been wanting to get into producing and I've been looking into buying Ableton live 9 intro with the APC40.
***** Yes indeed
Thanks for d info. Man. I really think one shall have both. Just they really complement ea. Other. Now I think machine studio is d best
aniutiube2011 Yeah, they work very well together indeed man. Thanks for watching.
APC40 MK1 build quality was much better than the plastic MK2.
Definitely was a bit more robust.
If you're triggering audio loops, Live is a bit more tailored to that at this point, especially if you'll be changing tempos or anything.
Thanks
Just plug them both up via USB and Ableton Live will recognize them.
thank you!
phoenelai Thanks for checking!
That's unfortunate, have you contacted Ableton support for assistance with your Push connection?
@@SoundsAndGear yes, just haven’t been reached out yet, hopefully something can be done about it soon, still gonna try to figure it out but definitely not plug in play like it’s advertised
@@brainbox9219 hopefully they get you right, it should be plug and play for sure.
So although I have push, I miss my maschine when I'm in studio one - which is all the time
Plus I just missed the komplete kontrol deal by a few days. All in all a bit of a fail for me this month! Hahaha
+David Carlyon Yep, I have and use both, S1 is dope too, been a fan since the first version :)
great review. thanx
