@@Shubham-hk6yf orrrrrr, it's a brand new game and a GTX 1650 isn't really enough to push 60fps anymore. Even the minimum requirements asks for 12 gigs of ram and a GTX 1060.
BE GRATEFUL THAT IT EVEN GETS 30FPS ON THIS SETUP.

Your knowledge about games is despicable. But regardless of what you say, Elden Ring looks absolutely beautiful and is very well optimized. GTX 1650 is a low spec GPU in 2022 and you shouldn't expect 60fps out of it. End of discussion.

For 4GB-1GB VRAM players
General settings that eat up VRAM the most
-Texture quality
-Antialiasing (FXAA,SSAA,MSAA,TAA,etc)
-Volumetric effects
-Render distance
-Shadows
-Video resolution
-Meshes (polygon complexity)
*using low resolution w/ AA to smooth out pixels can provide a minor improvement
-Taking advantage of NIS (Nvidia) or FSR (AMD) will help (these settings can be toggled in the control panel)
>Make sure DSR is turned off in Nvidia control panel.
This is a general rule of thumb. All settings affect FPS but said aforementioned settings will usually have the highest cost of VRAM in any game.

Shadows aren't don't affect vram, they affect cpu

VRAM is 90% texture quality. The GTX 1650 has 4GB VRAM, so you can safely put texture quality in 1080p at maximum and it won't exceed 3.5GB. I'd put everything on high except textures, setting them on maximum, and play the game at a comfortable 40-45fps, which is about the same performance you get on PS5 and XBOX Series X on quality mode anyway.

With all of the people with powerful rigs complaining of performance issues with this game, I was worried my budget gaming laptop wouldn't handle it, except maybe at 720p and low settings. Its a Lenovo Legion 5, AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, 1650ti, 16gb RAM. I feel much better after watching this.
Dude. A gtx 1650ti is basically a rx570 in performance. And a 4600h is basically a ryzen 5 3600. So performance won't be a issue for you. Heck my ideapad 3i with a 1650 gddr6 and i5 10300h is basically a rx470 and i3 10100 system.
u can basically run ur game at high settings
its a gpu dependant game not cpu
so its fine running it at high sett 1080p i got no problem so far
if u experience stuttering then u prolly need repaste

It manages 50-60 in 5-6 year old games at high and ultra, but today, it's too low to be considered as a good choice
@@thorny8013 You can play everything at 1080 with medium settings between 30-60 fps. Does not matter if you can´t play at 60 fps or more. For many people this graphic card is enough to play.

A mid end card runs demanding games at 60 fps 1080p, and less demanding ones at like 70 - 90.

1650 is a pretty decent gpu that should have no problem running AAA games, if u get bad fps, use amd fsr , if u can’t find fsr in the settings ,use lossless scaling
I was ready to change my GPU but I'll probably stay with it for a couple more years‚ its just incredible how good it runs newer games
1650 will handle good games for more 3 years atleast

these are the same specs that I have, except mine has integrated graphics, and has 32 Gb of ram, would I get frames above 50 or would it stay below 50 if I had it on the high setting?

How do you implement FSR on GTX 1650?
Since this is a Dark Souls type game, I believe it’ll be perfectly fine at 30 because these games are best played with a controller anyways.

The visuals of the game in pc looks bad even at the max 1080p settings compared to the PlayStation one.
For example :- Check the inner wall of the church where the blacksmith was either in your pc or there's a youtuber called Hollow, you can check his at elden ring part 1 gameplay at 49:04.
For the PlayStation reference check radbrad's video:- elden ring part 1 at 34:31 .

Sounds like you might have the same Lenovo Legion 5 laptop I have(was on sale at Walmart). Although I added an extra stick of ram to bring it to 16. With all of the people with high end rigs complaining of performance issues, I was worried about running this game as well, but this video makes me feel a bit better.

I'm using a 1650 paired with a ryzen 5 2400g and I'm only getting 30-40fps(dips below 30 in certain areas or traversing on horse back) even at the lowest setting with a 720 resolution. is it because of my cpu that I'm not getting the expected performance?

Should i be expecting 40-50+ FPS on medium in all the areas of the game or can it get worse in other areas?
I have this card and I get 45-60 fps on medium. Generally doesn't go below 50 fps but there are some stuttering issues.

@@brolee1773 yes lol with the newly added ultra performance mode, my PC is running that game like it's NOTHING. Seems like most of the ppl complaining are ppl that have 10 year old graphics cards.

So the minimum requirements were way inaccurate. Thankfully 1650 can still do the job at 1080p 🙌
GTX 1650 is a really good card despite what people say. I could run RDR2 and Elden ring with a good balance of graphics and performance with no issue at all. and this is a 1650 on laptop by the way. the pc version is much better
