I thought they would break the train sets outside the station like they would in Dublin or Richmond since there is a storage facility outside the platform as you stated (I was told this by someone). They only do that with trains that have A-Cars. The C-Cars, with their flat ends, can be coupled and uncoupled with ease.
I hope Platforms 1&2 will open with SFO/Bay point trains to east bay
Platforms 1 & 2 are also used sometimes but only for dropping off passengers.
