  • Here's a little teaser to some eastern Washington fly fishing and a quick "how to" measure a fish with the Proof Ball and Fishtechy app, available now on Amazon and the App Store for iPhone and Android! How do I compress this link? It's a long one!

Pretty cool tech Joel. I’ve watched you taking pics with the proof ball for a while. I might just make the jump and geek out. I love the thought of having a library of fish and their specs to document catches. Especially if you release like we do. I know they are out there to catch again and a little bit bigger next time. Besides, there is proof right? No accusation of a fish growing fisherman story 😂. “I swear it was that big!!”

Hahaha! Exactly my thoughts. Fisherman are THE most honest demographic in the world, right!? 🤣🤷‍♂️👊

Right! Simple and accurate… better for fish and data for better managing fisheries.

Well??? Did you measure with a tape and scale to check the app's accuracy? Not sure why you'd bother to post this if not

It’s accurate within about 5% at present. It’s not a perfect product yet but the technology is improving every day. Check out www.fishtechy.com to learn more.

Unnecessary tech gadget that promotes unnecessary handling of fish for social media posting and keeping them out of water for picture taking - just fish for yourself and take a few pics. It is not a competition and we need to minimize the handling of fish as the number of anglers grow. Get a catch and release tool. Admire your fish in the water and let them go - no need to haul them in to take a pic next to a plastic ball and use some app.

You think? Your perspective is shortsighted and here's why. Precise data collection on fish is non existent. Communication between anglers and fisheries departments is abysmal to say the least. You're missing the big picture. This isn't about myself nor is it a competition. It's a solution to collect and manage fisheries from user provided data, on a wide scale, so that we can do more for the fish and anglers alike. Thank you for visiting.

Do you think? Your attempt to justify the use of this unnecessary tech gadget might work if you were truly collecting data as part of a specific fisheries study but that is clearly not what you are doing as demonstrated by your content. Your attempted rebuff of my comment is short sighted and short on logic. You really “think” biologists and officials are following your posts utilizing this gadget to assess the health of fisheries?😂. You are being disingenuous - that is not the reason you are using this gadget.
