I'm also doing a wpl transmission and the hardest part was definitely trying to grind the motor shaft down to 2mm from 3.175 for the wpl pinion gear. I tried using a 12t 48p pinion for the 3.175 size and it was way too big even though the pitch and tooth count were allegedly the same.
Any proper information on the motor? Size, KV and etc… it helps not just showing what you did but also by giving more information of what you use. Thank you.
Great work! What particular motor did you use? What's it's KV? Can you also show the minimum and maximum speed (in this case: are you running 2S or 3S)? Thank you!
Thanks mate! 2300kv can size. 1000KV. I've uploaded one running video so far. More to come. Minimum speed is incredible. Lots of torque considering it's sensorless brushless. Almost no cogging. Maximum speed is unimpressive though. I'm fine with it since I just use it for trailing terrains. Currently use 3s 1500mAh 40c lipo
@@MrYansonMRY Thanks for your quick reply! I saw your running video, but am not sure if there is the min/max speed visible in the video. I want to install an outrunner in my MN86K too, together with an iFlight SucceX-E 45A ESC with "hacked" firmware that allows ultra low speed control. And I want it to be able to run rediculously slow :-) On the other hand I also like to be able to speed up rediculously fast ;-) I'm considering a Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 2836 - 2500kv from HobbyKing for this (hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigy-aerodrive-sk3-2836-2500kv-brushless-outrunner-motor.html). Any thoughts about if this might be a good option?
Wowwww😍 Would love to see your set-up!!! Damn...that'd be the most epic MN86K on RUclips! Just proceed, mate. Sorry I don't have any experience in using airplane esc. It seems you'd handle it very well👍🏼
@@MrYansonMRY It's not my idea or invention at all to use those quadcopter ESCs for crawlers. Here is a forum thread about it: www.rccrawler.com/forum/electronics/622544-silent-outrunner-esc-less-then-%2460.html
Nice teaching, I'm planning this set up on a future WPL truck. I love the smooth travel of the out runner motors.
Thanks for watching 👍 Outrunner brushless motor is indeed a very smooth platform for crawling

Awesome idea my friend👏👏
Thanks mate 👍
Friends, does the brussless dynamo have PNP on the mn86 gearbox at the bolt hole?
Yes, it is almost PNP. You just need to bore bigger bolt hole to mount the motor
Great video mate...what pitch is the pinion gear...48p or 0.6m?
Thanks 👍🏼 it's 48p pitch. Compatible with HSP pinions too

2830 motor size. 1000KV. ESC brushless 60amp
@@MrYansonMRY thank you 👍
Thanks for your comment. Well, that's the beauty of this comment section for our interactions
cool, look like the esc is good . i have the same motor
Great!

It's not the same KV as on the video but it's identical in size for this build.
@@MrYansonMRY thanks bro 👍🏻
