How long should you practice every day?

Hi there. Is it normal if trying for the first time that the stretch is all felt in the inner thigh/groin area? And don't seem to be able to lean forward. Can this be because I'm trying to try this pose on a bed?
    Thank you in advance

Hello. You will tend to feel the pose the most in the part of your body that is the tightest. In your case you are likely the most tight on the inner line of the legs. As for the forward fold, if you're having trouble leaning forward you should try sitting on a blanket or cushion of some type. By lifting the hips it is easier to tilt the pelvis forward. If you still aren't able to you may just need to practice sitting more upright until things loosen enough for you to fold further forward.
