Max, if I might give some advice, if you're looking for another way for Kilgore's uppercut juggles, try using his forward heavy punch headbutt to bounce the opponent to initiate the juggle after the uppercut. Just a word of warning it takes timing practice. Just figured I'd share how I learned it to try and be helpful!
Kilgore is a ton of fun to play and figure out, it's just really hard to edge out wins against certain characters, esp with Kilgore (more than any other character imo) requires a very specific way of playing to get actual damage out, where other characters tend ot have some wiggle room or other options to get in/cash out damage.
Why buff projectiles, if just 1 thing needed - add to all his moves(not projectiles) his overheating shit, because this crap works like Ram's Instinct.
Apparently it's hard to make a rapprochement with that character. Looks like you're limited to distance attacks and even the combo breaker seems hard to set the time.
Judging from how little damage Kilgore does when he's not overheating and how some of his moves are bugged (some Shadow Moves and Ultras cause blow-out), I'm thinking they probably shoved Kilgore out the door before final testing just so they can get more money for the KI World Cup prize pool.

its more likely that sometimes you're hitting with the followup for the uppercut which causes a ground bounce. otherwise tusk has no moved that cause ground bounce.

Nick Lugo its used for juggles, while missiles are the damage ender, you must be precise because the uppercut have different distances since he dashes to do them. His heavy upper cut avoids high hits and projectiles as he dashes in for the hit, with this you can juggle and do crazy combos for a punish
Kilgore feels like putting a joke weapon on in Soulcalibur 2. Watching these old videos back it's clear the devs, for as much zoning is on the game, wanted to make a statement against zoning. Wonder if he ever got patched.

Try removing Kilgore's thermal paste. It'll help him overheat faster.
