It acknowledges the preeminent place of popular song in modern society and its vital role in expressing and deepening the personal and shared values of our time.

She's a REAL artist!
I am astounded and grateful to have grown up listening to these artists. Joni Mitchell. Annie Lennox. Elton John. Seeing these icons performing still, their talents still gargantuan and soul-rattling. Enduring masters of the musical arts, people will be listening to their work100 years from now.
It is such a pleasure to see Annie Lennox performing in this tribute to Bernie Taupin & Elton John. I have loved her music, her voice, her look, etc. & purchased her DVDs & tapes, etc.but I have never seen her perform in person, on videos, TV, or anywhere. Wonderful!
The entire program is outstanding. And even though I watch it on my iPhone 6, (that’s all I have had for some years but it’s fine), I am so grateful to be able to see all the wonderful, excited & up to-date programming & access to any subject I think of! Thank You RUclips for showing this tribute to two of the most talented musicians of my generation. I’m almost 80 & I enjoyed every second I watched!

She gives a brilliant reading of this lyric. Her voice remains remarkable in tone, color and texture. If you haven’t heard the Aretha Franklin version of Border Song, check it out. She takes it to church.

Yeah so sad such a triumphant honor we are shown how truly challenging dear Elton John's songs are to belt out while turning out those lowest notes - the man did it with such ease, we should all take a momebt to understand comprehend the incredible ingenuity in training one's voice to hit these lyrics to be so audible as Annie Lenox shows here.
