It looks awesome, I was interested right from the start because of the 5th player, it feels so much like a party game, having the 4 players constraint never felt right
This seems to be exactly what I was hoping for from Herb Witches. I am now extremely excited to get this expansion, it just shot up to #1 on the hit list. Thanks Tom for a really in-depth review of the contents of this expansion 😊
Great review! I hope you can answer some questions: 1. The new African Death's Head Hawkmoth (black) card has 5 & 6 bookmarks. The original card had no bookmarks and is used in every game. Should the new card only be used with sets 5 or 6? 2. The Locoweed ingredient card also has 5 & 6 bookmarks. Should it only be used with sets 5 or 6? 3. Same question about the new Pumpkin card. Should it only be used when playing the expansion and using sets 5 or 6? 4. Are you even supposed to play The Herb Witches expansion with anything other than sets 5 or 6? Thanks!
Hey Tom does the game encourage more push your luck play? In Rhado's review he says that after a few games he found that player's weren't taking risks anymore as the 'risk vs reward' aspect wasn't worth it late game.
In a two player game, one player exploding really leads to a strategic game where the leading player plays conservatively. Having the witch in play that mitigates explosions (either by still getting to buy and score or using your potion after exploding) should encourage players to push their luck a little more. With more than two players I think there is enough pressure to take risks.
I love Quacks, fun game. This expansion is essential to people who enjoy multiplayers experiences of Quacks. I tried to solo it, the African Death's head hawkmoth positions in pot (on the new book) forced me developed a completely new solo system. (scores + black chip position for solo). As a result no need a pot for automa
Hi guys, I have one question... If you have just 12 new witches, how do you play with 5 players since you randomly choose one witch of each of the three types? Isn't supposed to be 15 witches?
The entire table gets the same 3 witches, you just choose at the start which of the Bronze, Silver and Gold variants you want to play. You all receive the same effects from the 3 witches.
Confirmed: Tom likes the local weed.
Global weed, not so much

get he bgg geekbits for this. makes it SO nicer to pick and place. they look gorgeous too
they are so expensive though 42 for the base and 30 for expansion thats practically the price of the games
Id say they're essential if you enjoy the game and plan on playing a lot. Great look and feel, but more importantly, great durability.
I got 21mm coin capsules and it works perfectly well
@@Muhd_Akmal same. The coin capsules were dirt cheap off eBay. Like $12 for 400
@@Muhd_Akmal Thank you for this tip!!
Tom wore the same yellow shirt as the first quacks
I really enjoy Quacks, so I will definetly check this out. Seem to be a decent expansion.
Where the heck did you get a Duel of Ages tie?!
I think quacks could/should be 6 player out of the core honestly. its so fast and simul that it makes sense.
MjrLeegInfidel but who has that many friends?

Thanks Tom.
I still find it weird when Americans miss the h from herbs 😂

@@Wunder Thx man. Now that looks like right. Lol.
Seems like something you would only buy if your regular group has 5 people and somebody has been forced to sit out.
It's so funny that Tom pronounces the word "herbs" and "herbs". When it in fact is pronounced "herbs".
No Quacks - Alchemists yet?
I feel sad the end watching all the promos for gaming events in 2020
Looks awesome! Can't wait to get a copy!
I love this guy😂😂😂
