I did the math on this: DPS of 4 fire bombards is 2028. DPS of 4 long nines is 1291. In order for the long nines to be as good as the bombards, they must tear the sails, and trigger the 7000 damage within 9.5 seconds. Considering the 9 second reload, you need to fire 4, then reload and fire one, or swing around and hit with both sides (using the shotguns as you turn).
I think the long nines need a base damage increase, since they can't really compete with the fire bombards. Having ~2/3s the per hit damage, and a slower reload is a bit iffy.

i dont think the sambuk is broken tbh. There's a reason its locked behind 5000 pieces of eight, its just that reason isnt in the game yet!!!!
Sambuk and fire love it. Made mine a rotationg shotgun with zammazamma 3 or fire bombard so much fun

The ablaze burst does spread the 5k damage so if you get a group of enemies close to each other and you set one ablaze it does the same damage to every ship in range of the burst
personally i use the zamzama 3's on the sides fire bombard 3's on the back and the ghost ship flame thrower on the front and a mortar 3 on my sambuk, that thing melts enemies

with blue spectre u don't need any other fire dmg so on sides you can use scurlock nines and darda on back.
Nice idea on scurlocks nines those things counter the brig HARD cause they repair there sails instantly so you have a endless source of 7k against brigs
Dude nice vid. But rogues lv 11 ships I do take them out with leopard II and 1 shot of drad bombard and they usually die and that’s for 2 spawns. I am planning to get front also drad cannons and at back I will do the long guns and we will see

whay dont use bombard for more fier dps?
Replace the port, starbord and rear with fire bombard 3's and you'll take more advantage of the area of effect along with increasing the rate at which you can light things on fire. Pair that with increasing the bombard elemental damage by 19 percent furniture. Do that for 2 reasons, your missing out on straight up raw damage by using the long guns and zamzamas on the back and you also missing out on the ablaze effects every time you are fighting side on.
Zamazama apply blaze effect really well and allow you to do crew attacks quite often even in MP the downside is the HP and brace are trash!
@@theeosteopath The damage output of demi cannons simply doesn't stack up to the other options. I only said to use fire bombards because he's obviously going for a fire build. Otherwise I'd say slap Dardenells on it and delete everything in sight. To each their own. Thats the point of the game, play and build your ship how you want. Just figured I'd give a suggestion and the person can test it for themselves.
the fire bombards are currently bugged with the sambuk passive and dont receive the 50% damage increase

@@theeosteopath Zamazama are so good, but the eat amo like crazy. Anyway yeah, they are way better than the fire bombards for this ship, the bombards are better on the Pad.

Might be worth switching you port and starbord weapons to Basilisk III. They still have extra weak point damage and you would be taking advantage of the lower deck slots as well.

already a po8 farm vid up.. all top players are upgrading only 2 spots to lvl 10, the 2 spots south of sainte anne. go to table in your office in the helm, max out the 1st upgrade and the last upgrade. then feed those 2 spots to get the 200% production. you get 1000s of po8s in an hr off those to manufactory spots.

Long nines in front,( or one more basilisk III in front ) , basilisk III on both the sides, torpedo III in back, mortar or rocket max you can go get for aux, the basilisk cause crit and crew attacks over and over again and again, if a ship is in front and your the chaser, long nines to haunt them and cause flooding with mortar or ablaze with rockets each status adds extra pocket damage, and if your too fast and are being chased in can launch torpedos and mortars or torpedos and rockets to hold them off course and let you slip away

@@maroonAg is that a ballista I honestly haven’t tried any it pf those yet, the reload speed looks pretty fast, but I’m not sure stats and power, I imagine they are really good at weak points, one thing I wanna try tomorrow ith them is see if they can be used for whale hunting

@@tact1calshot989 about 4k dmg per shot if you pull it longer it’s supposed to do more dmg but I don’t see that lol. 75% more dmg to weak spots and it’s got piercing
Hey question, I bought the ship but I cannot seem to get the red hatches to fire like you are..
How do I get those to fire? I am using fire 3 bombards all the way around, is that a problem?

You have Zams on the front.. That is why it looks like that, you do understand the hatches don't work..right? Like i'm 99 percent sure they are for looks...
So for anyone who reads this comment when you look at your weapons in crafting or in codex you will see there is (TOP DECK) weapons or (ALL DECK) weapons only ALL deck weapons work on all decks, hopefully this helps you all understand better if needed.
Easy way to remember which side is which: Port-Star. One letter off from some other word we all know and it's as you read it left to right.
i love the sambuk. its absolutely bonkers. pvp i can manage to 3 shot alot of ships with it due to all the procs. i didnt really think of using the surlocks or rockets bc of the lines of the rockets. pvp with surlocks would seem to dominate quicker bc od torn sails cause everyone uses the brig.
Shurlock's long nines is strictly a pvp weapon, I've realised. Most endgame bosses, content have near immune tear sails - don't forget the sea monster hasn't got a sail. Probably could do more damage if you replaced that for your pve missions.
So maybe this is the best PvP build 😆 damn why won't there bloody sail tear haha
@@d3athwish part of it is where you are hitting... theres 2 aspects I have noticed with attacking sails: first, hitting sails does reduced damage overall, but hitting the mast does full damage with the tear bonus damage. the OTHER thing I noticed is that the DURATION of the debuff is limited. in order to trash the sails of 3 masted ships, I need about 10 shots. if I stop shooting at them, the debuff will go down over time... just like starting a fire with only 2 fire long cannons takes forever to build it up, or one torpedo can't cause flooding on its own, and that flooding buildup depreciates over time

You started attacking at 13:47 and killed it by 15:26 that's a 96 second kill on Fangs of the Fara, the reason it wasn't tearing sails is that most of the AI ships are resistant against sail tearing. there's a lot that arent but most bosses and all rouge type ships are. Very nice video though, haven't finished it yet, but always enjoying the content people are putting out for this game. Cheers Mate!
So how long did it actually take to get the ship cause it's like 5000 and something right......and depending on how much you get from the businesses you could probably get it in a few hours right?
if you are just starting off, no. delivery orders are limited to 4, and roughly net you 250-350 coins a piece. Then it won't reset until 3-4 hours later. setting up foundries will cost you some coins. but if you have 6-7 on level 3 + doing deliveries, you could get 5k in 1-2 days.
Definitely not if you're just starting off though. As you'll need to invest first, before you make a good profit income.

lol. Well the game is more expensive than it should be, but if people bothered playing the 8 hour trial (8 hours of total login time) they would see that most of the negative reviews are BS and are bandwagon jumping. Even those reviews that are a legitimate effort to review the game get some things wrong. One of the more reasonable negative reviews complained about how silly the harvesting mechanic was, and complained that they needed to implement ways of getting those resources via sinking ships or raiding compounds (which is actually the main way of getting resources in the game) rather than sailing around harvesting resources. He obviously didn't really take the time to play the game before making the review.
@@Taoscape from the gameplay footage I’ve seen it’s literally a mobile ship game similar to world of tanks but on water. No actual pirate stuff other than the characters and ship no fun pirate stuff all you do is shoot a ship. You can’t jump to it and have a fun fight, you can’t do any of the fun stuff similar to the ones in games like black flag or sea of thieves which are the only 2 good pirate games so far skull and bones is literally the saints row remake of pirate games without the bugs
@@cheatemperor8583 Yeah that is all valid. The game needs a lot of flushing out. It is a decent $30 game though. My point is that a good chunk of the reviews seem to be bandwagon juimping considering their complaints aren't consistent with the game, causing less people to play it or even do the 8 hour trial.
I somehow just got super lucky and got scurlocks long nines from a legendary chest about 3 minutes before servers went down for maintenance. I didnt even know you could get them from there! Guess I just sell all my rum now lol
Wow you are so bloody lucky! I can't do legendary PvP runs if I sink I have a glitch where I lose all my inventory so I can't die or I lose everything I'm carrying.
Blue Flame from the ghost ship is most dmg on a single target. So i prefer bregattine to ram first and than burn it down. I aint got atm the flame ship but maybe ill change it for 5000 extra dmg. But with the bregattine im faster.
psa dont do helm coin collections in a sambuk, the aoe from the effect will aggro the locals and theyll refuse to let you collect

It 100% does but only with (ALL DECK WEAPONS) if you use only top deck then they will be cosmetic it is probably the reason they named them top deck and all deck hope this comment helps ✊🦜

In theory yes however as figured out in the video for PvE they are pointless only good for PvP.
Is a good theory but won't work for pvp since everyone is using Brigantine with 80% Reduction to Torn Sails effect and 18 kn of maximun speed you will never get to use your demi cannons at least on the map event. Maybe in hostile sincen is a close space. For bosses the sails need a lot of dmg to breaker their sails
you realise you just explained WHY this counters brig. they repair their sails SOOO fast, that you can just reproc the free 7k damage again. Shurlock's long nine's, I mean

Technically there's no best ship in the game. Even the brigantine ain't the best. To be the best it means no ship can compete with it.

For the sake of 2 knots, i dont know why everyone uses this boat instrad of the vanguard which has far more health and is much more tanky
The Snow is good for PvE and doing forts and such but is not good in PvP I usually run the Sambuk with 4 fire 3 bombards and a Leopold 3. I’ve deleted snows Within 20-30 seconds with that build it’s to slow and can’t get out of my guns range so constantly bomarded, set ablaze and flooding

When they're bounty ships, and the event ships, they are scaled extremely high. The level it says doesn't matter that much.

I personally think fkame thrower on front and rest being bombard fire balls would do a lot more damage. The shotguns in general kinda suck
So the reason I will not put s basilisk or a flame on front cause this is the only ship with 6 weapon slots at the front and if I do that then I'm losing X5 damage at least that is my theory behind this.

Running long nines would be a waste because they aren’t fire damage. Fire long gun or bombard would suit the ship better

In solo PvP that build sucks you have no speed and no range, his build is better for PvP, I would replace the Zenzinama from the back with Dardanelle or Rama's legacy, I believe Scurlack's ship The Margaret in the story quest where you have to take a fort was using Zenzinama on side, his long gun in back and moons meg 3 on front, he was also using the reduce cooldown on consec hit so the Zenzinama were almost on like 1-2 sec cd or less

tbh 4 dards is not worth it simply becsuse itd only 2 of them on front and back. i find TWB and L9 on back for brig better , 2 x dards on both sides and leopold 3 mortar

You cant use the closed gunports otherwise the snow would be the most op since it has more gun ports

There is NO "counter-proof" build.
How is it broken? You are using game mechanics as it should be used..
Is yr ship for pvp or pve? if pve yr set mate {mabye} for pvp yr doing less dmg then fire bombard 3 due to range and that yr in a slower ship which wud reduce yr demi canons useless, the long gun is a good choice to stop a ship but easyly rendered useless by a simple restoration kit and enhanced first aid kit
the brig has 30K health not 40k
I don't think that's make sense what's your saying. I think the bottom deck is just cosmetics at the moment. When you fireing with the side cannons you can fire 4 time without reloading. Demi cannons works like shotguns so thats why you see that mutch damage indications. I might be wrong but iam going to test it.

no, im comparing it to the standard of modern day games, it plays like a low budget mobile game
Not to be rude but this is not close to being the best (practical) dps.
Rocket is best aux but not usable so it might be theoretically best dps, just wont work. But aux weapons can better be used to shoot and forget aka burst.
Leopold 3 it is.
Front weapons: maybe scurlocks for practicallity and chase potential, maybe the flamethrower for actual dps (best close range dps). If u dont want that just use bombards.
Side: definatly bombards (dardellions are best), one shot = 12k dmg if u aim good enough.
Other side could be zamzams (close range dps best in class and good for fire dmg and raids=crew dmg).
I dont care what u put in the back since most fights u will engage with ur front. If u want a nice finisher again bombards are good.
Click and forget burst is better cuz if you rotate ur hull (or zigzag) u can optimize the reloads.
If u look for pure dps out of one weapon and do not care about range, zamzams. The dmg + fire + crew attacks is insane.
Depending on how you play burst is best and u can abuse burst with good movement.
Fun is another factor. If u like long range sniping the balista is actually quite fun(but not best for dmg). If you want more utility in snipes again the long nines.
