Turns out a shotgun to the face is effective even if you scale it up to a Canon sized shotgun and a monster's face

Another tip with this build is to keep moving, the poison cloud is in when he gets close. Leopold 3 is great for when it's charging at you in one line. Keep rotating your ship to be able to use all weapons in quick succession so that by the time you rotate to the first one you fire, it's reloaded.

Brace automatically regenerates (Blue bar) also shown in the shield when you brace. No need to hold it down when it's not needed.
Just want to point out that the wrathful ward can also drop from La Peste, that’s how I got mine

take the Twinned Ballista and shoot the Boss from up to 1300 from the Distance without aggroing him 😃

This can easily be solo'd just by using a twin winch ballista. Park at max distance once the creature is spawned, you are too far outside its aggro range for it to actually attack you. It will charge into you, while you put bolts into its head, then retreat back to it's spawn location, allowing you to just farm the thing in about two minutes with zero threat of taking damage
I recently broke the easier one with my own twin winch snow build, stunned it before it destroyed the smaller ship, it randomly exploded with no monster, but then the monster got stuck in place and was EZ mode. Im wondering if its big cousin could be glitched the same way, which would be funny af.

A use the octopus ship side cosmetic thing from the BP it has green flame torches on the back that glow real nice with that green defense hull thing
I did a max brace build on the snow, with zamas on sides, fire bomb rear, long nines front, and that was solo. I've server hopped since then to farm it with the brigantine with twinwench front, fire bomb rear, and the long nines on sides, those things absolutely shred on this ship. Zammy can't handle scurlocks 9 incher in its face XD
Dardanelles do a lot more dps then any of those weapons but take little more skill to aim. There are videos testing the damage per second and damage per shot of all weapons. Unless there is a balance change, then Dardanelles will stay the most effective weapon by a decent amount. There are specific builds for specific scenarios that would outclass tho: 3 scurlocks and dard on back (for chasing people who are far from you…cutthroats etc) -> Twin winch with 3 dards (For same purpose but with more close range potential) -> Padewakang and 4 mons megs (For forts).
Honorable mention: Sambuk with rocket III and 4 fire bombards (For general pve and stationary boss fights)
Scurlock’s only really outclass anything if you’re chasing something from far away and Zams are only good for stationary boss fights. Not very useful for pvp or general use.

What do you do with weapons and furniture that are in your warehouse?
is it on a timer. I think it's more like it wasn't killed within a certain amount of time. Not because of getting killed underwater. If you killed it, it would have registered as a kill and you'd see it.
Can torpedo's hit it underwater? and would that not be more OP?
The battle is being quite easy as the enemy doesn't use any OP attacks, like the autoloading magazine fed Dutch mortar spammers, or Torpedo spam from that one bounty...
What works for me personally is the cliché "I just want to have a high level" setup with the Barque, twin winch front, Darda in the sides and back (being a demicannon user for so long it's basically the same weapon so aiming isn't a real issue) and a healing mortar III as aux (gotta keep faking being a support ship somehow xD)...
furniture wise it's healing with crew attacks, charge rate for crew attacks, more velocity bombards, element+ for bombards, and something else, maybe bombard radius?
Anyway with the coconut cake (more efficient stamina and +10% repair kit bonus) any attack from it (while bracing when needed) does at best 50% damage so with the innate healing from the Barque one can tank it quite easily, and use a enhanced repair kit 1 in "emergencies".
Sure all the crew stuff doesn't matter as one can neither crew attack nor board the thing but it's useful otherwise as you have quite the survivability while also having efficient enough DPS so I don't really miss the AUX slot, plus healing others in events makes those quite efficient too, as sure DPS is nice but if someone dies who could be saved they in turn lose DPS especially with the stupid cutscenes (while still being attackable) when respawning.
Edit: Oh, forgot to mention the armor, it's the season pass one so blablub thingiedamob orange one (which also doesn't help but as said the thing is easy enough)
Hot tip pick up the fara quest then every min or so 3 ships appear. That's every min or so
If you Brace at the right time you won't take damage it's like a Perry
I did it first time solo with the brig royal armour use repair kit 1 you get the forify and you can litrally spam the repair kits

I just tried this build with a few modifications and it works great, solo'd zamaharibu quite easily, i used Ouroboros armour, all dardenelles, stamina based minor furniture and 'mchuzi wa kuharibu' food buff.
its funny that people suggest Ouroboros armor but first you need to kill him to get the scales to craft the armor :D

Not gonna lie health wise I’m good using snow, euroboros works wonders and yeah there’s like little bubbles when he goes under water then pops up with his jump attack, just keep sailing you’ll be able to tell when he attacks. He is still fairly difficult
It takes a long time though and the monster cheats when it does the bubble teleport attack you can't aim or attack for few seconds and by then it's already under water

Hey just to let chat know currently the healing ability on the oroborus armor is not working the way it should be however the hull sever dmg recovery seems to be working

which repair kit is best to have on you? im looking for a balance between repair percentage and cool down time, ive got alot of repairkit 2 so i take that out with me is there a better one i should use?
Repair kits 1,2,3 all heal the same amount per second if you look at the cooldowns. the enhanced ones heal a percentage which is better the more health you have, but the best trade off in enhanced repair kit 1, 50% health on just a 40 second cooldown enhanced 2 and 3 just have way too long cooldowns and are far less healing per second compared to the enhanced 1 (enhanced 3 90% heal on 120 second means you can heal 150% with 3 enhanced 1 on 40 secs in the same time). Mind you you'll burn through a lot of them depending on what you're doing, so better stock up.

All fire bombards MK3, Mortar mk3 and black prince armour, walked it solo 😊. Plus keep moving top speed in a circle

Im grinding out to get the last ship so i can do the whole fire build. I think that might be pretty good to fight the Zamharibu solo as well 😤 Cause my first run in earlier got me sleepin with the fishes no nemo 😂
Honestly nothing can solo it apart from the snow as the brace is so high and this thing hits like a truck ✊

another way to solo this but takes a while to do it is to equip twin ballista and where it hangs around whilst waiting for a ship to destroy be about 1600m away and just constantly ballista it
Did the poison actually proc? I ask because i tested with the tammers at fort du lys and ram damage dont proc the poison.

yes it shows hit and npcs talking gets very annoying to have it on tbh
what foods are you using? my brace does not regen at all when i hold it down
The Snows base perk is restore 4% brace every second you hold brace down
The armor never did a gas cloud. Maybe use the oroboros armor it at least procs.
It does proc when you brace, if you are referring to wrathful ward, the green one
How do you get the impact hit or impact water Hud thing on the right of the screen?
Is the real sea monster really that hard? I killed it first try by my self.
I've tried to take on that create in a Brig, Sambuk, or Barque... and while I haven't had the Wrathful Ward specifically, I did have a 400 point armor on each. And every time, a normal hit took about 75-80% of health _while_ bracing. Not the tiny scratches seen in the video. I'll have to check out the Snow (which I haven't built yet), because if they is still true (might've been patched?), then it would be amazing to take down this monster better.
BTW, the "all you have to do" is kinda misleading. Not everyone has a ton of Po8 or Sovreigns to drop on something like this.
The snow is all about bracing and tanking 🤙.

They need to add the fifth furniture to the Snow. Unless there's a new Tank ship coming soon
I've heard people complaining already that the oroboro's armor doesn't even work
its working just the heal regen is very bad

description is wrong in english , in germanits correct , simply a ship deals 1000 damage to you , you brace...and heal for 15 % of the damage ( 150 is 15% from 1000 )
It's just very underwhelming since it only heals 15% of braced damage which for me in my Barque with the health furniture is barely 500 health on a full brace. And yes the english tooltip is plain wrong. add to that the item lvl of just 400 compared to the 420 of the wrathful ward or black prince armors it's just a downgrade. totally wasn't worth the grind. Also Barque can easily solo this. i did it earlier to get my last scale.
Soooo if i brace the damage, it will regen 15% of what i lost while bracing? That's confusing. I was under the impression the armor would regen 15% of my ships total health. That would have been too OP.
The armor does have the best damage mitigation. It is better than the black prince because of the mitigation.
If you use a repair mortar and shoot in front of your path, does it heal you too? I’ve not tested it out.
No, unfortunately you can't heal yourself, only other players.
Last night managed to get the interaction bug but it let me "Hold C" to get to the Helm office and from there could not interact with anything. Couldn't "Hold Z" to go-to ship or "F" to leave. Had to quit to menu haha.

Can solo that beast with all the boats imo. You just need the weapon Twin-winch Ballista, and you shred that beast like nothing.

How did you brace in the snow without taking damage from him? I try that and it still kills off like 1/4th to a half of my HP
The thing bugs out sometimes might be the impact angle or otherwise somehow missing the hitbox of the ship.
Fire bombard is better than the Dan's imo, Dan's is too inaccurate and slow, it usually misses. The twin ballista is good against it too as I believe it has a pierce weakness and it will boost your ship to level 12, making it a lot easier

Forgive the doubt, but why all this difficulty in killing him? I did it alone without any issues with my level 12 Pandewakang equipped with four Dardanelles Gun slots.

Just do it besicaly by accident, long-range DMG brig, 3x Dardanels and double winch ballista, black prince armor. Dardanels has done most of DMG. Solo, completely solo, have screenshots :D, still puzled by it by myself.
Joke? That dinosaur atacked DMC bombard ship, while it didnt do much damege it work like awesome decoy, even sorvuived till end of this bizzare duel.

Yo bro not connected as such to this video but i have a huge problem, im unable to buy Scurlock Long Nine's. I'm in my snow with only 5 treasure maps in cargo and im on able to get 666 bottles on my ship bearing in mind i already have a set of Nines, what have they done with this update 😡
you dont need the rum on your ship, you buy the 9es with storaged rum

In Settings -> Language -> Subtitle Settings -> Gameplay Closed Captions (you also turn on the distance option)

Good luck actually doing this at level 11 solo. I cant afford to get 2 more of the legendary bombards at the minute and have no chance even in the snow. I can get about 75% done if lucky but use a huge amount of restoration kits
Killed it three times the night it dropped wirh the boys to make the armor put that armor on the BP boat
I've noticed that this game IS a lot like GTA V, where the cops constantly keep spawning in front of you no matter where you go. To me that's unrealistic and it needs to be totally random.
It feels like Cyberpunk 2077 pre police fix. I wish they would at least spawn by rising out of the ocean for enemy rouge ships, after all the game has non realistic stuff in it already, so lean into the supernatural Ubisoft.

this thing is super easy... basically does nothing and armor works for the first 5 secs only
The new sea monster isn't that hard, barque dardas done it first try, just kite him full speed when he comes for you
The other method is bringing him into dmc ships, he will take aggro on them
There's an easy green one and a hard red one

@d3athwish Long nines x3, Dardanelles, Leopold III, Rope Locker, Maintenance forge, Sterile Galley, Leather Rope Grips, and the Balanced Mast. This is a speed build and wasn't the easiest way I've beaten it solo. I have found Zamzam III works really well for it. The only attack you need to really watch for is the one where it pops up under you and belly flops on top of your ship.
