What I find hilarious in this is in the lore of this film, Heaven and Hell exist but "Adam" wouldn't go to either. Both sides had to protect him AND try and take him, as if either sides launched an attack that killed him, no one wins anyways.

See I think his selfless act of saving Yonne actually grants or completes his soul. Prior to that he always fought for himself. Something similar happens at the end of Constantine (Keanu Revees) when he kills himself, but the devil cannot take him since he killed him self to save another life.

Which made god to ascend him to heaven and this conundrum of Lucifer wanting to take him to hell led him to stay on Earth and Lucifer removing his lung cancer so that he can live and when his dies naturally his life to be judged at the end.
If this movie came out around this time the percentage on downloading demons would have been a little faster and the ending would be completely different

Honestly this movie is kind of unfair match because their opponent is actually a gargoyle are powerful creatures while the demons are a weak creatures are depending on a host should probably put the demon into a creature form to outmatch the gargoyles bro
That was a really good movie and I thorougly enjoyed it...the protagonists were pretty likeable too....thanks for the movie rekap, I enjoyed rewathcing it though I new the story too!
So wait, they had a chance to le the Journal burn when the demon ignited and end the threat right there, but kept it in one piece for plot device..... just to burn the book anyway...As if I didn't think this movie was idiotic enough

Adam didn't kill Gideon, Gideon killed himself when he fell on top of Adam and cut himself with his own weapon.

Maybe he probably earned a soul after he saved Tera from the electric machine. His love for her earned him a soul.
