That was going to be my comment.
Tracy could have healed Robins mom's cancer, instead gave them a stack of money.
She probably couldn't. Cancer is quite a bit different from any other disease in that the only reason why tumors can grow large enough to kill you is that your own boby doesn't recognize the cancerous cells as a disease that endangers your body, otherwise they would destroy them long before they could become a problem. If your own immune system doesn't realize that the cancer is a disease, chances are that Tracy's power couldn't either.

It's not a plot hole, the reason the pills have trackers in them is because they are meant to study the effects of the pill, the entire reason why the pills are in circulation is to test them and refine the formula, without the biotracking they would have no results to refine the formula with

How come "random superpower" is always something useful. Why would it be? Doesn't make sense.
The randomness is only on the first use, after that they get the same one every time they take the pill.
@@thenerd9013 yeah but still. Why isn't the power you get something like "i can make my hair fall out" or "I can make my family explode" or "I can grow grass on my teeth". It's always something useful.

@@thenerd9013yeah, but not. I mean, what animal can self-ignite? And what animal can freeze itself? Or heal plants? And why not dumb powers, like grow hair everywhere, or feathers, like most animals have.
@jhbonarius I think it's supposed to be animals taken to their extreme. Some animals can increase their body temperature at will, which turns into self-ignition whilst others can lower their body temperature which turns into freezing. I think the plant healing one is the only one that breaks from that pattern which is probably because she was born with the power and the guy in the presentation did say they made the pills using animal DNA.
It's like all the best things about the X-men (namely Grant Morrison's run of the New X-men), but done completely wrong.
I feel embarrassed for this movie.
For my one power I'll take telekinesis. You could make some serious bank with that. All the other powers need something else to compliment it to make $$.

Fun fact, there was an interview with the director where he said they considered calling the pill "plot device" instead of "power", but it was changed to avoid being too obvious.
