King's Field IV - E32: Carved Statue

It never stops being weird to me that this game has so many elaborate setups for such unclear rewards. I guess I'm used to games with more explicit locks and keys, and this one is going for something slightly different.

Those carved statues look like one of those "there's a thing where the statues' gazes align" type of situations, except they don't all point to the same spot.
Huh, I had made an assumption that the mummies bursting out of the walls were traps in the passages with lights, but that seems to have been a premature conclusion drawn from insufficient data. The fact that I was wrong means I can mention it, though!
Blatantly superior equipment, and a full set of it at that! For once, the game is being nice with its rewards.
Regular snakes... followed by big snakes! Very glad you didn't die rushing in there and wind up having to redo the entire day's progress.
