Thanx for this. Brings back such nice memories on just how good this band is & was. Firing on all cylinders this cold evening in Oslo with Mr. RB leading his team in his second last apperance with the band. I was there & what a nite it was. Great setlist, great performance & energy. Seen this band so many times. The only concerts that come close are the 3 Stockholm shows in 1985. Amazing
When Ritchie is in the right mood...no one can come close to his guitar playing! On fire this night. so so different a week earlier in Birmingham when he was out of sorts
What has been said on numerous occasions is that Ritchie was fed up with big Ian, and decided to quit once the European dates were done. He tore up his visa (to Japan) in front of the rest of the band. This happened before they went to Scandinavia. So he quit the band. Now if management then fired him as well, I guess it was moot at that point.
Is there a video with that Lord interview? My knowledge of the situation is Ritchie quit before the end of the tour, which is why they had Satriani come in and finish it.
Fantastisk konsert!
The SAME setlist over the years since MK2 returned im 1984. Thanks to Ian Gillan's massive ego, proud and arrogance, songs from Burn, Stormbringer and Come Tase The Band will never be played again live in the shows.
My first Purple show, and by far the best concert I’ve ever been to!
Long live Richie Blackmore and his Purple. They ve done an amazing job here again.

RIP MKII (1969-1973, 1984-1989, 1992-1993)
And, in the middle of "black night", Ritchie starts to play "long live R&R" X-D stunning! He´s the real deal!

DEEP PURPLE Mark2 FOREVER!!!!!!!!!

Blackmore's last ever guitar crash
Richie walked out during the tour. He wasn't fired. Joe Santriani was stand in for rest of the tour.

Fantastisk bra konsert, men mener bestemt at den var 27 oktober 1993.
Fordi jeg var der.
Men mulig det var en til ?

Glenn Hughes still does theses songs. And does them very well.
