The reason Spurs lost 4 games was due to second string players who weren't familiar with Ange ball since they did not have much minutes on the pitch. It took time to play as a team with second stringers and the coach needed to find right combinations of players playing positions that can maximize the attack.
Ange has no f**ks to give. He is going to play his way and thats it. Every Spurs fan i know is here for it. And to be fair to Howe, he has to stay true to himself as well; the progress Magpies have made under him has been phenomenal

Why does no one ask pep for a plan B? This big loss that you are waiting for…..we have played almost everyone but Brighton and have been in every game.
Robbie's have no idea how Spurs play. Saying that it's fluid and loose is actually really wrong. Spurs play a rigid style, but the rigidity is in the attacking style. Fullbacks are instructed to cut inside and play as 10's. That's not "fluidity" or randomness. It's intentional. Additionally, the "hammerings" we've had recently have been a direct result of missing 10-11 players through injury and suspension. They style of play had little to do with it. If you look back to the earlier part in the season when we had a full lineup, we didn't look like conceding all the time, which would be cool if these two acknowledged.
No hammering - save Chelsea at the end. Spurs issue has been not finishing chances. Against Newcastle, Spurs finished. With a full squad Spurs will be a menace to all teams.
Maybe watch back the Fulham and Palace games that spurs played in before their injury crisis they were disciplined and controlled the games and weren’t reckless now new players are coming in and learning the system it’s takes time to develop new patterns of play
With regards to Romero, the game has changed. He's still an old-school tough defender in a game that favours fast flowing movement and gentle tackles. Only because of VAR, he got a red card against Chelsea. But along with that, it's so much easier to get yellow cards now. He will be targeted by other teams for sure. Leave a leg out and make him pick up a couple of yellows. But I think the lunging is the only thing that needs changing. Go in hard. Scare players. After all, his current attributes are the reason Messi said he's the world's best defender.
Spurs should stick with their attacking football for sure. The problem with the recent losses is that they lose control of the game by trying to push too much rather than being patient and waiting for the right moment. Love their football though
January and early Feb will be problem with Sonny, Bissouma, and Sarr out for Asian and African cup. Not sure if VDV and Maddison will be 100% ready by then.
Ange has not succeeded this long with the word ‘but’ always in his thinking and actions. Dare to do. Those who spend their lives second guessing themselves, are they the people you’d immediately think will be successes? Every tactic has risk. Too defensive. Too attacking. Too predictable. Too inconsistent. Too many ‘buts’ in your life is the biggest risk of all. Ange clearly knows that. There are no certainties. And Ange teams are very flexible, because the players know what they’re doing, and have licence to exploit situations and opportunities, take on your defensive responsibilities when you’re not in possession, win it back, all because they are learning to ‘read the game’ by playing the game under Ange.
We have had ten players out. The structure is already there, they just haven’t fully adapted to it and we’re missing attacking minded players, hence why we lost our leads…well that and poor finishing.
It wasn’t just that “it was a good time to play Newcastle.” Every single game we’ve played other than Wolves (where Ange set up more conservatively) & Chelsea (bizarre situation) that we’ve played we have outplayed our opponents for large parts of the game. Give it time & if the injury gods are kind, you will all become believers.
The way Robbie Earle talks you'd think Ange just dropped out of the sky and there was absolutely no history at all to look back at. There's at least 2.5 seasons in Scotland, ok not EPL standard BUT, so what he was spoting in way off the reality of Ange's past.
The whole comment about which midfielder stays or goes is a bit mute. The games we've lost have been when Biss and Sarr haven't been playing together through injury or suspension. There is a lot more structure to the team going forward. In the old days full backs went up and down in straight lines. Then they went past the wingers on the outside. Now they can go past on the inside. Rather than watch the player advancing watch the other one as he always makes the same defensive movement. Loving the way we are playing. Yes we've lost a couple but other than Wolves it's us that has cost us goals and not teams beating us. Get Mickey back especially and we will be a lot more solid
Udogie, Bissouma and Romero all sail close to the wind and risk getting suspended and missing games. Biss is now going to miss 4 games and might not be back till after the Africa cup of nations which is quite worrying
Spurs did all that vs Crystal Palace. They took the lead and controlled the game but that allowed Palace momentum in the last 10-15 mins. No play to win right through! COYS
This media is hilarious . They were finished just a few days ago well beaten by West ham, now they win against a clearly knackered Newcastle and theyre the best thing since sliced bread.
Reckless Romero is just reckless and doesn't care enough 🤦. That step on Wilson could have easily been a red. That would mean a 4-game ban. Ange needs to find a quality backup in January because Romero will be suspended again.
What’s all the media noise about Newcastle and all their injuries?? Tottenham are also decimated with injuries and have a smaller squad. Tottenham’s bench is filled with youngsters! Against MC, they had 4 fullbacks playing defense!!
Why would you suddenly stop playing the style of football you have trained, which is ostensibly working, for a completely different one? The logic seems to be 'this is what teams do when they're being dominated'...but I haven't seen Spurs 'dominated' at all...
Lots of players go for the ball ,but the by the time they get there the ball is gone an a leg or is still there ,,,with the speed their goin at how do you put the brakes on …almost impossible…their not dirty players .. speed factor on both sides
You are watching a Tottenham team beginning a transition/rebuild. Next season you will see a proper Ange team. Spurs have lots of first team injuries, themselves, a fact no pundit is mentioning.
Spurs are not a one trick pony though. Earlier on in the season before all the injuries Spurs were consistently closing games out once they got a two goal lead, and headed into the last 15 minutes or so.
I love these two. I agree that there are times we can be more pragmatic but think we have been particularly in those second halves which ironically I think is why we have lost leads. We arent the best at defending and playing within ourselves. I think we will evolve once we have the main system embedded, think Ange will adopt at times a more counter attacking style but will be later down the line.
I get all the hype around 'Ange-ball',but really 'mate' ? You have NEVER in the premier league era see any other team play more fluid football than this?If that doesn't scream recency bias,I dont know what to think anymore.

Man’s calling out Romero 😂😂😂don’t worry about him big guy us spurs fans know how good he is and how overblown this narrative is.
Spurs did all that vs Crystal Palace. They took the lead and controlled the game but that allowed Palace momentum in the last 10-15 mins. No play to win right through! COYS
Ang ball is a revolution
This media is hilarious . They were finished just a few days ago well beaten by West ham, now they win against a clearly knackered Newcastle and theyre the best thing since sliced bread.
Reckless Romero is just reckless and doesn't care enough 🤦. That step on Wilson could have easily been a red. That would mean a 4-game ban. Ange needs to find a quality backup in January because Romero will be suspended again.
Imagine if Kane was still here. It would be a season worthy of a movie.
Romero played more calm with VDV in the back with him. Once VDV is back I think Romero will calm down a bit. Tottenham still needs more depth at CB
What’s all the media noise about Newcastle and all their injuries?? Tottenham are also decimated with injuries and have a smaller squad. Tottenham’s bench is filled with youngsters! Against MC, they had 4 fullbacks playing defense!!
Robbie M. Players should learning to adjust their game and make adjustments without the manager telling you what to do.
Romero will be fine, enjoy the ride. Spurs are here for the long time
Robbie Earle CLEARLY not been listening to Ange, postulating theories that AP has clarified ad nauseum.
Spurs fan haven't seen attacking like that since Bale days
Robbie Earle has missed the entire point of Ange ball... you don't change it for periods of the game. Thats Ange ball
Spurs must learn to protect their lead. They must study the style of their opponents play and also play to their strength.
Next season belongs to Tottenham
Away stadiums are packed when spurs come to town
Angeball is the opposite of Sht-housery
Why would you suddenly stop playing the style of football you have trained, which is ostensibly working, for a completely different one? The logic seems to be 'this is what teams do when they're being dominated'...but I haven't seen Spurs 'dominated' at all...
“Unlike anything we’ve seen in the PL before”?! 😂😂😂 Did you not see how fluid Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal were for a decade?
Erm Funny how they don't mention our injuries...
Spurs have nine out injured as well it was our C team.
Joelinton’s challenge was more worthy of a red card then Romero’s
Lots of players go for the ball ,but the by the time they get there the ball is gone an a leg or is still there ,,,with the speed their goin at how do you put the brakes on …almost impossible…their not dirty players .. speed factor on both sides
Should we call Harry back ?
You are watching a Tottenham team beginning a transition/rebuild. Next season you will see a proper Ange team. Spurs have lots of first team injuries, themselves, a fact no pundit is mentioning.
Spurs are not a one trick pony though.
Earlier on in the season before all the injuries Spurs were consistently closing games out once they got a two goal lead, and headed into the last 15 minutes or so.
Robbie Earle, like most retired footballers just cannot accept the way Ange have decided to play the game. They just look for faults.
His defence is possession if u cant get the ball you cant score
Tottenhams first 11 is unrivalled in the prem..
😂😂😂😂
@@maro6041name one better? Maybe city... that's it. And we'll be better than them in a few signings.
Full strength Tottenham will beat anyone
Send Romero off to an Ayahuasca retreat for anger management. He comes back as a humble player.
But loses that dog in him that we all like.
I've seen more fluidity teams back in the early 20s not the best team to watch..
Robbie Earle still doesn't get 'AngeBall'.
Risk but other than 9 man v chelsea thay havnt been belted by anyone
A team with two styles of play has no style of play.
we have just started, its incredible the footie we are playing, a few more defensive boys is crucial,Watch out to the Arsenal filth., I've supported the boys for decades, never been so excited about the football, we WILL be a force to be reckoned with, next season could be nuts, and who knows this season is still alive, the next seven we could come close to taking the max points ,silver ware will start.again .. COYS
FFFF UUUU hard. Every team needs an enforcer... thats what Romero does.. let him hit hard when the game requires
Looking down and watching your phone while the other pundit is talking is pretty disrespecful.
Playing exactly the same attacking football that leeds went for under Bielsa - except Spurs have much better players and a stronger squad.
We forgetting Leeds literally three years ago? Same fluidity, just less quality players
“Tottenham’s fluidity unlike anything we have seen in PL before” 😂 what a load of bollox
17-19 City was more fluid and much faster.
There's somebody in that man's kitchen.
Guess what he is a former spurs player.
"Tottenham's 'fluidity' unlike anything we've seen in PL before"
Utter crap, Spurs are nowhere near the "fluid football" level of Manchester City and Arsenal have shown over the years
Ups and downs but coys
"Never been seen before"...really? What are you smoking? 😂😂😂
