Took my grandson on his first fishing trip this weekend. His first fish was a 24 inch Red. Saw porpoise, deer, and alligators. He hasn’t shut up since. Got myself a new fishing partner! Keep going fishing. It’s fun even if you don’t catch much. Nothing like it!

I've also caught many flounder in the spot your in, granted the barges on the other side down the street is probably better. Kinda grow up down thier every weekend
Coming down to Galveston this next Sunday. Can I surf fish from Sea Rim campground? Or would I be better off going down to Galveston Island State Park and camping beach or bay side. I do have a kayak. I like surf fishing. Or would I have to wade out too far in these areas???
Lmao! I don’t know what happened to that thing, it still works great. Cast a mile, drag works, and is smooth as butter. Just makes that weird sound when casting.
We have a closure from November 1st to December 15th! I’d rather have y’all’s closure. Our run doesn’t get good until November but still goes strong during the first couple weeks of December.

It should have a button on the side that’s a clicker so u can switch it on and off on for when ur away so u can hear it and off when I catch something
