Exar Kun if you haven’t done him yet
Always wanted to know more about Mortis and Ravage, don't know fi there is much lore about them though
Any dark council members of the time, cant remember if you already did Vowrawn/Acina but as mentioned above Mortis and Ravage if there's enough intel
You should do lord praven, it may prove an interesting video due to his story. You should include the dialogue he has on corellia with lord scourge.
@@elmaster48Interesting suggestion… I’ll note it down.
Toughest final boss in the vanilla game and an absolutely worthy opponent for the Inquisitor! Thanaton was fantastic!
Yes! It's here at last! Thank you so much! :D
I have been theorizing that the reason Thanaton clinged to tradition so badly, especially in regards to the Inquisitor, is because, if the Dark Council had followed tradition all the way, Teneb Kel would have been executed immediately and never have gone through all the harships he did to prove his worth. It would have been a kind of mercy, not the torture that it was. No matter what he did, the Council would never acknowledge him or leave him alone for that matter until he became Darth Thanaton. Letting him live was a defiance of tradition. I think it's a form of compensation. On that note, seeing Darth Zash and her apprentice escape or defy tradition and not be punished for it was unacceptable when his own master (and himself) was punished for overstepping his boundaries as a Sith Lord. So it was likely a mixture of that and the common Sith trope of fearing for their power.
Sorry for the long analysis ^^
Don’t apologise for this masterpiece!
@@SWCentral You honor me!
Love your videos man. Your videos literally brought me back to SWTOR to replay some story :)
That’s awesome thanks!
Oh yeah the first story I choose to play and complete and max to 80 what a journey! Definitely plenty of highlights threwout the chapters and thanaton as the final boss was just perfect working your way threw the sith ranks to become dark council ❤
Absolutely agree!
Wow, I have never even heard of this guy, I love new Star Wars stuff! Feels like Christmas 😂
My Lord Nihilus… I hope this video appeases your hunger!
As the Inquisitor was my first story in swtor Thanaton holds a high place my heart for the villians. I remember that during my move across states, i took the time to read some swtor comics and I instantly loved Thanaton's story.
His hold on tradition I always saw as him attempting to enforce the rules that should have been invoked against him for his master's failings. Which then led to his test by the Dark Council. I even think that despite Marr's words after Thanaton's death, that the council didn't like him and perhaps even wanted him gone. He was a traditionalist that refused to evolve with the times. Combined with him essentially demanding the Council to help him kill the Inquisitor, I think the Council had enough of him. Beyond the foolishness of demanding aid to kill a slave turned lord, Thanaton showed his fear of evolution. The Inquisitor represents change for Empire and the Sith, a change that calls for tradition and teachings to evolve or die.
Yeah in his youth he seemed to display many of the core Sith traits. You can tell Marr had some respect for him for standing his ground in the end. For claiming his rightful place instead of cowering in fear.
Shame he fled the Kaggath, he broke the rules…
@@SWCentral I will always find that funny. He knows the rules of Kaggath, yet tries anyway to get the Dark Council on his side. They know how tradition obsessed he is, why did he really think it would work? Especially once Marr calls him out on his bs.
@@Jrockk999 Marr calling him out again was badass haha! I wonder though, had Thanaton won the fight, would he have really made the rest of them “answer for it” haha
I believe the answer is simple. Power. If you can weaponize the following of Tradition or the breaking of it. Then it is yours to do what you wish.
Thanaton believed following Tradition gave him power, not his own power making it so.
Wonderful!
Darth Thanaon maybe not like darth Baras who I think was a better antagonist in my opinion especially with sith warrior, darth Thanaton as the antagonist for sith inquisitor was an interesting antagonist for sith inquisitor story.
This was sweet.
“My lords. His master was corrupt, he is corrupt. Without Sith Traditions, we are nothing!”
Now I love this blatant hypocrite, he spouts "tradition" after blackmailing his way into becoming a Sith Lord and has the nerve to judge the future Darth Nox. Though he's another Sith Lord i'd love to have worked with, if I had a choice between him and and Zash, i'd choose Thanaton.
Also I hope you do a video on Malavai Quinn please.
Companions are on my to-do list! Quinn will get his chance hehe.
I loved Thanaton as an antagonist.
I just finished the Inquisitor storyline yesterday for the 15th time lol. I didn’t like my choices for the 14th iteration and decided to go through Revan (which I normally skip) for the title of Dark Council Elite, and make some other tweaks. I love the Inquisitor story arc.
Wonder how a conversation would go between Darth Thanaton & Darth Bane on how Sith ideals & Doctrine should be followed. Wonder how one would view the other.
Banes presence would leave Thanaton writhing in fear, like a child. He would not tolerate someone who serves the past, and not themselves.
In my honest opinion, this guy is a coward that hides behind tradition only to literally abandon it in search of power/allies.
He was too righteous, felt himself superior to the Kaggath and this was his downfall.
Oooooooooh Realy thanaton was a slave
Indeed… his malice was born from a place of relation. Sith are weird.
