- A scenic walk from First to Bachalpsee surrounded with Swiss cows
with real stereo audio !
The hike starts at the First mountain station. To get there, you need to take the First gondola in the village. The gondola ride takes 30 minutes. The hike leads along a wide and developed path to the Bachalpsee. In the first part you have to manage a steep ascent. Afterwards, the trail leads past alpine meadows in a gentle up and down to the lake. On the way back, you take the same path as on the way there.

O To be young again! Back when we were strong enough to spend a whole day walking beautiful trails like these! Thanks Mark for doing all the walking and recording those beautiful wildflowers along the trails. And those snow covered mountains off in the distance provide a Stunning view. Especially the shot at the 31:58 mark. You could see that the cattle in the early shots were certainly living “The good life” just enjoying their surroundings and hanging out.

I last did this hike nearly 50 years ago when the trail was a narrow mountain track to the lake and Faulhorn hotel. Most memorable were the numerous Ibex and marmots with their shrill warning cries, views of the mountains reflected in the lake and passing the mule trains with bright red gas cylinders taking supplies up to the hotel. So peaceful and serene, it's all very different now.

Woww, i just came back from my trip to Switzerland and am glad i did this hike, its mostly uphill going towards the lake but the views are stunning. Lake is very calm and peaceful. Those memories 😊😊

I only feel sorry for those cows, slaves during their short life, every year they take away her calf and force her to wear those bells that surely causes them great stress since they have a very developed hearing. Thanks 👍i also found my problem with manual focus its was the AF-ON button i had to hold the button in for focus with manual setting ( i only pressed once . . Now i change the setting to full auto focus when i push that button it keep the focus for manual focus learned from a dutch youtuber ;) i also don't have to change the dial knob so it will never go broken 👍have a great weekend
I shot the latest videos always on autofocus with focus in the central part of the frame and there didn't seem to be any noticeable problems with focus.
I noticed that in some shots 15:51 18:34 you have the sky between the clouds illuminated and it is not blue.
I was also filming in the mountains last month and got this problem. Even 15 stops of dynamic range of SLog3 do not allow us to shoot video the way our eyes see.
Maybe if we use high-quality polarizing filters, all unnecessary reflections in space will disappear?

Do you mind me asking a question - your video footage is very very smooth without the typical up-down camera movement when holding the camera and walking at the same time. I imagine you use a gimbal? But in my experience even with gimbal the up-and-down shaking can't be totally eliminated... so how did yo do that? Very curious.
Now I hope to see you publish the Zermatt Stellisee trail video, that hike was one of my great experience. Thanks again.
Thanks my setup is very heavy 3.6 kilo I walk small steps and ad some warp stabilization in post 1 or 5%
@@TheFlyingDutchMan8K Thanks for the reply. Do you mind sharing the information of the type of camera stabilization equipment (the 3.6kilo) you use to get this level of smooth footage? That plus the amount of effort I imagine you do at post for color grading and etc makes your video top top level.
@@ericchen1205 first i use a lut now i use a paid plugin for grading ( small steps with heavy setup your arms work like a gimbal)
