In late July of this year I had a A1C of 8.1.. and I just so happened to come across your youtube channel. I started following your advice and today i was tested and I am now down to a A1C of 5.6. May God richly bless you for helping others.
YOUR BOOK 60 WAYS IS NOW BEING SOLD IN CVS...CONGRATULATIONS!!!! CVS is huge here in Michigan as they almost have a monopoly on the drug stores. It is on the bookrack near the pharmacy :) Hopefully you'll make enough money on it to support Beat Diabetes, your ministry and Ben in style.
Good morning! I have gotten back to keto/low carb and intermittent fasting. Had a carnivore day last monday to give me a good start! Think of you often, learned all this from you Dennis! Thank you!
Good morning from the Pacific Northwest! I look forward to your podcasts. My blood glucose is starting to even out after an injury. I watch your podcasts because I know low carb works. It keeps me moving forward. Thanks for all your hard work putting these videos together. They have made a difference for me.
What happened to the scammer saying he only eats agege bread while on the net on his cell phone or computer? We feel he thought you were a preacher who knew nothing about Africa and would be an easy touch. We are so grateful for you posting life-saving videos on YT.
I am pretty new to all of this; because I am a skinny girl, I don’t need to lose even 1 pound. I have found that eating two meals a day, I am losing weight by leaps and bounds. So I have gone to three meals a day and the weight loss has stopped. Now I have to work on the timing of my meals. Since I have never been interested in eating breakfast, at age 67 I am eating at noon, for p.m. and 8 PM some mornings I wake up and my blood sugar is 93 and other mornings it’s 110, even if I’ve eaten the exact same thing that I ate the day before!
I wonder if the gentleman who made the comment I have to eat, was on something like Glimipiride. You have to eat carbs to keep from getting lows. I just got off it. I'm finding your suggestions of low carb to be extremely helpful. Some days my BG was in low 80's but today it was 104 first thing this AM. I'm learning what will put it up after eating my last meal. I just have coffee for breakfast with creamer. Once in a while I have an egg with onion & peppers. Lorraine
Whipped cream cream and heavy cream, heavy whipping cream. They’re all good for you. Also take some C8 MCT oil by here’s the recipe 1 teaspoon of instant coffee of your choice 8 to 12 ounces of hot water 1 tablespoon of butter 1 tablespoon of C8 - MCT oil 1 teaspoon ofAllulose put the hot water with the other ingredients in your blender for 30 seconds and then drink it down. You won’t be hungry for four hours and you will be burning ketones after one hour for the remaining three hours. You can read it on your keto GXI meter.
Why take your insulin when you know your meal is going to be late? In the 60s type 1 in the UK, had to eat low carb. We didn't have young type 2 then, It was known as an illness of the elderly. Your insulin is too high and diet may be wrong, if you have eat all the time and are puting on weight. Its not animal fat that makes you obese its insulin. The more insulin you use the more obese most become. It doesn't matter if that insulin comes from your own pancreas or a needle the result is the same.
40grams of carbs, Isn't that what was known as a low carb diet in 60s UK? That is not a high carb diet. That is being recommended today is high carb about 130grams of carbohydrates, which includes wheat, & rice, which is also high in sugar and in the body. What you are eating is the 1960s UK Low Carbohydrate diet for type 1 diabetics. Who are controlled. Carbs only going lower if your insulin keeps getting higher. Should try that before insulin reaches great heights. A type 2 should never reach the stage of needing insulin it means their diet was c.ap. Their pancreas may have been permanently injured.
I am absolutely confused! I am type 2 diabetic. My understanding is people with diabetes has high blood sugar. That is why we take medicine like metformin to reduce the sugar in the blood, which I do. Now you are taking about diabetics who are hypoglycemic which is too low in sugar? Are there different types of diabetes?
if you have to take insulan then why would you just spread out the times you take your insulan to when you eat instead of takeing the insulan all the time ? then you can cat less offten ? it doesn't make since the you take insulen on a regular basis rather than just take it when you have to eat?????
The problem with people eating 6 times a day isn't the frequency. They are eating themselves into a calorie surplus. Granted fat loss and glucose control are two different conversations. How many body builders/athletes are type 2? Btw i found that eating raw veggies with a carb heavy meal slows the spike. It doesn't stop it altogether. I had raw veggies with a carb heavy meal that put me around 220. It took two hours after eating to even start to rise, but it peaked and came right back down.
It is the frequency that is dangerous. You are not allowing the blood sugar or insulin to come down to normal levels. High spike starts coming down, eat more food, B.S. & Insulin back up again. Bad for your organs because it means your insulin is dangerously high all the time. Your blood sugar should not spike on a regular basis. It is high insulin that causes obesity. It does not matter if that high insulin comes from the pancreas or a syringe. It damages organs including the pancreas and liver. I had a spike of 12.2 mmol. or 220 approx. I was out for a meal, English chips no raw veggies reached 12.2mmol/d or 220 aprox. Would never eat such a high carb meal normally.
@ It depends on what you eat. If you're eating junk food, the spikes are higher and last longer. I can have a balanced, protein and fiber heavy meal for lunch and my glucose goes to 140. Eat a small package of nutter butter or oreo and I'm hitting 180. A banana can put me up to 140 and it's a much better alternative.
@ For example. I run high in the morning. Sometimes as high as 120. At 6:30 i had two eggs and a protien shake. At 8 i ate a banana. My 9:30 break i had a small serving of greek yogurt with granola. My glucose at the moment is 95, which is great for me. For me, what i eat is more important than when.
It doesn't matter if that insulin comes from your own pancreas or a needle the result is the same. Obesity, high blood pressure. That was me. You know if your insulin is too high if your HBA1C is above 38 or 115. Mine was always in the late 40s then one day went over 60. At that time I was ignorant, I was called pre diabetic and was pushed a high carb. Once I was called diabetic I went back to my 60s training and went low carb. What I didn't know then, was there is no such thing as pre diabetic. You either are or you are not. This pre diabetic state is new. I had wondered why I couldn't remember it. I had known since 1968 I was at risk, but I was young healthy and thin. 40 was a 100 years away. When I said to my GP "the consultant had not used pre diabetic in 1968 only that I would be diabetic by the time I was 40," my doctor told me it was new. All those years I was in fact diabetic. Not pre diabetic. What a waste no wonder my health went down hill. I was on the wrong diet. Even as high as 40 grams of Carbs may have helped in those early days if I had known.

The two meals a day should not be employed by underweight people. Eat at least three.

It depends///////
Better wait for 6 to 8 hours after your last meal

I improved my fasting glucose by switching from keto to 40% healthy carbs 40% protein and 20% fat. My insulin is now regulated.

@@TammyFriend7250I didn’t say 40 grams. I said 40% of my calories are from carbs. 40% carbs is about 250 grams of carbs on a 2500 calorie diet.
i certainly hope diabetic educators have evolved with their outdated information.
