    Well that really depends. If you use 3 volt lights with a 3 volt supply such as AA or AAA then there is no resistor needed. If you use higher power like a 9 volt battery or a 12 volt adapter then all the LEDs will need to have resistors added. We add resistors to all of our lights ahead of time when you order from us. evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds

    Can you change the color of the light to red ?

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  4 года назад +3

      The wired connectors are made for connecting lights to power. You can use any color light, it's up to the user what lights to choose

      gently sand a white light with fine grit sandpaper and then use a colored marker to coat the glass.

    Can you solder small wires like that? I'm attaching and twisting five or six wires together. Thank you!

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  3 года назад +2

      Hi Raymond, yes you can solder these small wires. Some find solder helpful although it is not always necessary. If you twist the wires firmly with the power supply and shrink tube them that should be adequate.

    How would you safely connect your power supply wire to a car battery with out shorting out?

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  3 месяца назад

      You can use your car battery as the power source. Select LEDs rated for 7-19 volt AC/DC like these:
      evandesigns.com/products/universal-solid-leds-for-transformers
      because car batteries run around 15 volts when the alternator is running.

      Well yes, if your power supply is over 3 volt, you will need resistors

      @@EvanDesigns how don’t those 4 leds burn out, don’t those 2 AA batteries put out 6v total? I’m confused cause In series 4 leds would put out around 12v and 2 AA batteries wouldn’t be enough, and in parallel only 3v, so 2 AA batteries would be too much.

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  3 года назад +1

      @@alien-oo-_-oo5732 Hi! Good question. The LEDs are in parallel so they are 3 volt each. The 2x AA batteries are in series. Each AA is 1.5 volt so the 2 together = 3 volt. Same with the AAA they are also in series also equalling 3 volt. Basically the larger the 3 volt battery the longer it can run the LEDs.
