    Thank you so much for showing step by step and speaking in English terminology. I have been trying to find out about these lights for 3years. I would like to ultimately find out if these tiny but single lights could be done with a solar chip for outside. Could you imagine these tiny lights dotted here and there outside 😊

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  5 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your kind words! I am happy to hear you liked our video! Solar power typically charges a battery, then the lights run from the battery. If you can find a solar + battery combo we have lights to match it. One thing though, LEDs don't really like water so you would need to shield them from moisture to have them run long outdoors

      I have been watching some amazing videos on miniature lighting and look forward to decorating the tiny leds with protective covers.
      There are no courses that would teach how to connect a tiny solar chip to the battery system. Also, I have to do research on what wiring and which resistors to use for various batteries. One thing I know for sure is that when I figure it out, I will certainly be purchasing from your online store. There's a very limited choice for buying electronic supplies for hobbyists in New Zealand.

    Great Demonstration . I would actually solder the leads before using the shirk tube . Your LED's are now super small and I have used them on my builds with a resistor 1k. 1/4watt.

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  2 года назад

      hi! Thank you for your comment. Yes solder is great for connections. The nice thing about this kit, you don't need to solder if you don't happen to have a solder iron and you still want to light a little project. 1k resistor is good for 18 or 20 volt input yes. Is the power is AC? You would also need a single rectifier to convert AC to DC. We have 7-19 volt LEDs here: evandesigns.com/products/chip-nano-pico-leds?variant=32158370201648
      And separated (resistor/rectifer separte from the LED) 7-19 volt LEDS here: evandesigns.com/products/separated-7-19-v-ac-led?variant=30363467251760

    Do you deliver your wonderful LED lights to Australia by any chance? I would love to buy some of them. I just bought a couple of miniature lamps from Temu and they both have 1 red wire and 1 green wire, but the wires don't go anywhere, so I didn't know how to use the lamps, even though Temu advertised them as being proper working lights. After watching your video it seems that I just need one of the kits that you sell to attach my lamps to. Love from Amanda Jones in Melbourne, Australia

    These are amazing and a total life saver! Will the pico lights be good for lighting up the inside of a model? Need something small and hidden was hoping a 3 piece set would light up an 8" x 4" inch area well enough to see the inside of vehicle.

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  2 года назад

      Hi Tallon! Thank you for your kind words! The pico is the smallest light. For your scale I think you would be better with the bigger Chip size. 8 x 4 is a fairly large area. Try the 3-Chip option: evandesigns.com/products/chip-light-kit?variant=6762997579824
      you can always go down to 2 of them and keep one back for another project!

    Does it work for the model trains with that kit.

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  3 года назад +1

      Hi. Yes you can use this to put lights in your model train, the coin cell is pretty small, about the size of a nickle so if you can fit it into your boxcar you are all set. We also have lights made for Model Trains that can operate from 7-19 volt of AC or DC or DCC. If you can pickup track power you can run the lights with no battery needed. Those lights are on this page of our website: evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds/products/chip-nano-pico-leds?variant=32155339817008 select that 7-19 volt option

    Question: do I need to wrap any wires up? I plan on ordering the two light kit and it's for a paper mache skull. Also, the lights need to be green; is there a way I can switch out the light color? I know these are probably dumb questions, I'm sorry, I'm just a complete noob to this, a perfectionist, and I don't want to screw anything up or put anything in risk of catastrophy.

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  3 года назад

      Hi ! Thank you for getting in touch. I am not sure what you mean by wrap the wires up? You will be twisting the LED to the wires on the battery holder, we provide shrink tube you will add to solidify those connections and make sure the twisted parts do not touch each other. Yes you can get the chip light kit with green LEDs, just order from this page evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds/products/chip-light-kit and mention in instructions for seller you want green for the LEDs. OR you can order the parts of the kit by themselves. The LED here evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds/products/chip-nano-pico-leds and the coin cell and holder here:

      @@EvanDesigns I mean if I have to wrap the wires that come off the LED before the join with electral tape. And also is it okay if those wires are trimmed down? Are the "breathing" green lights available in the two light kit?
      My project is for a necromancer staff, the lights will be the glowing eyes in the skull if that helps give a better idea what I need and am trying to do and not go entirely broke lol. I'm terrible at explaining things I need when I have zero clue what I'm doing.

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  3 года назад +1

      @@roseabee7503 you do not need to wrap the wires with electrical tape. The wires have a tough coating of paint plus polymer so they do not need any wrap. Yes you can cut the wires, but you will need to strip the wire after you cut it. This video shows that: ruclips.net/video/u8OSUs7mYQs/видео.html
      You can get the breathing LEDs separately: evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds/products/breathing-led?variant=29261033996336 there is a video on that page to check out the breathing effect ruclips.net/video/eOqlEYbL1zE/видео.html I would think though, you might want to have the 2 eyes pulse together. We can custom make you synchronous breathing at this link: evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds/products/sync-leds?variant=29369321062448
      At $6 for the lights and $3.75 for the coin cell, I don't think you'll go broke! lol Again the coin cell holder is here: evandesigns.com/collections/wire-switch-more/products/3v-coin-cell-holder-with-switch?variant=6773798928432

    • @EvanDesigns
      @EvanDesigns  3 года назад

      @@roseabee7503 Oh! the Z is so tiny! it is 0.6mm, honestly hard to see with the naked eye. I wouldn't think you would need to go that small for a paper mache mask! LED sizes, there is a picture of all of them on this page: evandesigns.com/collections/hobby-leds see the Z? it is so small! I would think Chip would be about right. Chip is 3.2mm or 1/8th of an inch across. Voltage, we have this article that goes over ways you can choose to light an LED: evandesigns.com/pages/battery-operated-leds basically you will want a battery that fits easily into your project, like a coin cell but you might want to have the batteries run a long time, so then AAA might also fit. The AA holder with switch is here: evandesigns.com/collections/wire-switch-more/products/aa-holder-with-switch. If this is going underwater, you will need to shield the light and the connections from water with silicone glue. We do ship to UK from our shop in the USA. Hi That sound great! You can add 10 lights to the little cr2032 coin cell and they will run nice and brightly. You can mix sizes of lights and colors too. We don't recommend running solid and flashing on these small batteries because your solids might flicker a little. To solve this use 2 coin cells or go to a bigger battery like AAA pair.
