Most beautiful tenor voice in the world. Nothing can compare to it.. He has spent endless hours singing to the world. Plus all his charity work. His family, love of people. Not a lazy bone in him. Thank God for him.
People always ask me what kind of music I like and after many, many years, I've finally nailed it down. There's only one "kind" of music I like. Good music. I can listen to a dozen operas and only 1 of them is "good". Or a hundred pop songs and only 1 of them is "good". But it crosses all genres. Only the "good" ones are good.

My personal favourite tenors list ranked in order of preference...1st equal: Luciano Pavarotti & Franco Corelli; 2nd: Fritz Wunderlich; 3rd: Giuseppe di Stefano; 4th: Beniamino Gigli; 5th: Placido Domingo; 6th: Mario Lanza. Not sure who comes after that. Luciano Pavarotti was just amazing, a voice of liquid gold, a personality as warm as the Italian sunshine on a field full of sunflowers, he is much missed 16 years after his death aged 71.

I was eighteen and prepared my university inscription exam in that July, less than two weeks after his concert and "La Bohème" played with the Opera of Genoa in TianQiao theatre in Pekin. But I managed to persuade my parents to let me two free evenings to watch them from TV. That's the first time I saw an opera from TV (before that day I only heard from radio). And in the year of 1998, after my arrival in Paris, I was happy to be in the Concert under the Eiffel Tower and see the three Tenors with my own eyes.
