Brilliant video, it was so interesting to hear your thought process re what you would pay for the stuff in the shed. I agree with Simon, I would not go above £50. It’s a lot of work. These out and about videos are great, you should do more! Also, I like the use of classical music, makes a change from the usual generic tunes people use. Although Rossini could never have imagined his Overtures being used as a background for house clearance videos LOL.
Fantastic 👏 thank you and looking forward to another ‘not so’ mini series from Faye 😁 My eyes bulged when I saw all that colclough as I’m a sentimental sausage with that brand. I only took mine off display & into storage recently but there’s stuff there I’ve not seen before so quite excited 😊
Wow. What an opportunity. You want to consider selling in job lots bundles to the mismatched china vintage wedding market. It's a lucrative market in solds on 3rd Jan £275 for 60 mismatch cups and saucers. Bit of a packing nightmare but courier would cost less than £20.
Sad that a business is closing, but an awesome opportunity for you guys. I’ve done a couple of big bundle buys recently, but have been mixed lots of bric a brac - that amount of ceramics in one go might kill me 😅
Happy New Year! What an epic haul! Seeing it all laid out on the table was like some sort of fever dream. A lot of work for sure but I think the returns are definitely worth it. I'm not sure if Faye has the short straw sorting and listing or if it's Simon having to package the sales! I'd be so interested in what you get for it all a few months down the line.
I've just realised how close I live to you. I'm in Clifton!!! Used to love going to the tea room. So sad it is closing, but what a great opportunity for you guys. I am also a re-seller, so hopefully may bump into you one day sourcing. Lins x
That's an amount of ceramics that would have had me sobbing! Simon was right, they just wanted it all gone. You have to store, research, catalogue, and pay to list all of that for a while before you make a real dent in it. Fair play to you for tackling it! Some of it looked pretty nice.
what happened with the shed stuff? Did she sell it to you? I initially thought the same as Faye…but Simon, you are the voice of reason 🤣Also, I have annoyingly slow Colclough for sale right now….probably not a popular pattern!
Well you are a good neighbours, no way would I have taken that lot I would have been very picky and sorted out a few sets and left the rest… I would question the fact. Are we doing the owner a favour taking the stuff or is she doing us a favour For what ever the reasons are I would consider the fact that she should pay me money for clearing out unwanted crockery not the other way round Ok you are going to sell the stuff but the work involved in sorting into sets, cleaning it all and packaging after sales… is it worth the return? All that storage for low value items! You are both as I said before good neighbours for coming to the rescue to your local tearoom I hope she appreciates what you are doing. Rebecca
Thanks so much for your comment. Out of curiosity, what makes you think they are low value items? It definitely wasn't a favour, it was a business transaction. She had items for sale and we needed stock. She had the sort of thing we sell on a daily basis so we came to a price that we were both happy with. We've got hundreds of listings of worth of stock to work on now. We sell this sort of thing all day everyday on ebay, have done for years now so we know what we're looking at. We're used to cleaning things that we get from auction but not all of it needs cleaning all of the time and that is the same case with this lot. It's definitely not a case of being good neighbours, it seemed like a no brainer to look into it if the price was worth it and it was. Simon is a pro at packing 'breakables', it doesn't take long at all. Selling this kind of stock is a business model we are really familiar with and it works for us. :-) I'm intrigued as to what you resell? Do you find a lot of opportunity to clear people's sheds out for free? We always love hearing from other resellers and their business models.
Well that is the question! Let’s hope that I am wrong Tea sets are not fashionable are they… but spares for tea sets that are not complete are hard to find There are lots of china replacement companies desperately looking for stock, and of course individual people hunting for replacements The invention of tea bags has not helped either You will sell your stock, but having seem your videos you like going to boot fares etc and buying stuff that you can sell on quickly and not have your storage places holding stuff you months You will make a great profit also Modern families don’t want tea sets. I have two sets and when I get them out for guests people often have a little laugh as they don’t get served from a matching tea service that often anymore It’s usually the older generation that has a bone china set. I hope that you are able to sell it on quickly. There are tea shops that want stock like the one you bought the stock from. You have to find the buyers for it all I enjoy watching your sales and I wish you the best of luck. Rebecca x
I am retired and I do boot fares as a seller about four times a year. I am not a professional like you I enjoy watching your collection and sales. I am amazed at what you achieve. When you get to my age you want to get rid of belongings This year I inherited my mothers mason breakfast set much to my husbands dismay He sees yet more belongings, I see something extra to cherish, but never use… I look forward to watching your sales progress. Rebecca
Considered it when editing but easily searchable through the marketplaces. We’re always open to a visit for a cup of tea and there’s already plenty of weirdos in this village!
Love your videos x Saw this chap who describes the same scam you had with your little table - tried sharing the link with u but it would not let me so leaving it here hopefully x ruclips.net/video/1tx4PhCkGTk/видео.htmlsi=MYS7LIDaN4lRTtT2
In this video we're clearing out a vintage tearoom!
Brave and excellent. Look forward to updates. And......A very Happy New Year to you both ! xx
Happy New Year Helen!

🤣 it was only right to use for the tea room!
Awesome - I hope you managed to get the lot from the shed too - I saw a lovely Rennie Macintosh Mug & saucer ❤
Oooh..
What a haul. Will set you up nicely for the New Year.
Can't wait to get it all listed!
Fantastic 👏 thank you and looking forward to another ‘not so’ mini series from Faye 😁

Thank you, I had a little look at that opportunity, definitely got lots of mismatches so 🤞
Sad that a business is closing, but an awesome opportunity for you guys. I’ve done a couple of big bundle buys recently, but have been mixed lots of bric a brac - that amount of ceramics in one go might kill me 😅
We’re underway with the listing so hopefully won’t be too bad

Fab haul looking forward to the follow ups on the lot, looks like some nice sets colclough always a winner and probably lots more
Fingers crossed!

I'm in Sandy so not far from either of you. I didn't know that the tearoom had closed down. Such a shame 😢. Although good for the pick up of stock!
Hi Lins, you are close! Please do stop us and say hi if you see us around!
That's an amount of ceramics that would have had me sobbing! Simon was right, they just wanted it all gone. You have to store, research, catalogue, and pay to list all of that for a while before you make a real dent in it. Fair play to you for tackling it! Some of it looked pretty nice.
🤣 it is rather a lot!
When I saw the advert for this, I said to my hubby you would be right in there as so close to home lol.
🤣 you know us too well!
Great video 👏✅️
Thank you 🙌

We didn’t buy it… yet…
@@Married2Reselling Haha....did I ruin part 2? 😅
@@Married2Reselling Also....I think I manifested a sale...sold some Colclough since my comment about it being slow 😅
We don’t know yet 🤣
You’re welcome!
That looks like my idea of a nightmare!!
🤣 I know, definitely not for everyone, but we love it!
😂 I'll pop round later then

You don't want to be showing people where you live ! You'll end up with a load of RUclips weirdos outside. Great video, but I'd edit it 😊
