Wish I had done this with my kids! Now I am nearly 70 and travelling everywhere on my own and having the best time! This year I have been to Morocco, Spain, Portugal, France, Norway, The Arctic, Iceland, Madeira, Antigua, St Lucia and Barbados. Travel with an open mind and an open heart! Have fun guys, you will all remember this in many decades time. What great parenting X
Look forward to the upcoming adventures. You could contact #RoamingRadfords who have a 9m motorhome and recently did tour of Morocco in the Summer. Drive safe guys!
Be very careful with the children and be security savey. Chain your wallet to you better till a money belt. Last, do not give money begging children. If you do you will be mobbed everywhere you go. Take water with you with bottled and water filters. Lovely part of the world. Secure everything.
Try watching "Roaming Redfords" they did North Africa in a motorhome as long as your Lori, their vlogs had some very good and bad park-ups well worth a look. Great vlog, the sea-life centre looked fab, and the weather seemed to be following you 😁but you need to have more confidence that "sketchy" park up you had loads of room.
One other thing to check before you go. Have you changed the truck V5C to mobile home or is it still a box van? If it is still a box van check if that changes the paperwork or insurance you need as, despite it being private use, the truck itself would still be considered a commercial vehicle
Omg your husband is like my wife always worried about other people and making sure we park properly When you have lots of space just park 😂😂 Keep your videos coming we Love watching your videos and think ye are amazing family 🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
Please be careful winds over 30mph can and will flip you, watch videos on Wyoming and trailer accidents, I did rv transport and we shut down at 30 and wait better safe then sorry
I love watching your travels but tell your hubby to have more confidence with his driving abilities life is everyday a risk so parking up is the leaded to worry about enjoy all my love have fun dazza the truck driver xx
You gonna love Morocco! We've travelled with our kids by car from the UK when they were little and it was fabulous ❤ hubby is Moroccan which helped 😅 but seriously its a weird, funny, amazing and friendly place. Donkey rides in the Atlas mountains (please dontvtakecthe lorry there - no street lights after dusk to get down the mountains!). Camel rides on the beach, jem el fnaa nighttime fun in Marrakesh and a million more things. We're taking our motorhome there very soon for a few months (minus the kids as they've grown and flown but plus one mad spaniel puppy). Maybe see you there on the road! ❤
You might struggle to get to the Sahara without going over mountains. But I’m sure you’ll love Morocco and Moroccans they are lovely genorous people and they love kids . Marrakech and Essoirare are must sees.
Great video guys, the Spain and Morocco adventure sounds epic! I’m always a little more wary of Morocco as I’ve been mugged a long time ago, but I guess it’s just down to careful research and the areas. However looking forward to it, and jealous as it’s currently -6 here in Aberdeen 😂
People get mugged in my home city , one person getting mugged is not a reason to avoid a county , did long stay Spain was attacked on the road , was not a problem ex Royal Marine was easily dealt with slight damage to my car and slight damage to the violent mugger of the two ., you have to be aware in any county . no expensive jewellery .or watches , don't carry loads of money.,
Watch Roaming Radfords - they went in the summer and their experiences were amazing in their motorhome. Good Luck - what a fab experience for your children.
Unless you are driving for commercial gain, you are using the motorhome for personal use, so there for you can go over 4 hours driving time unless it is your personal choice. … look up GB Domestic Rules. …. Exemptions to all GB domestic rules You do not need to follow the GB domestic rules if you: …... …..are dealing with an emergency - for example, a major disruption to public services or danger to life (this only applies while you’re dealing with the emergency) …..are using the vehicle for private driving and not for work
Wow a big adventure on the horizon, I know your very experienced travellers but must be really exciting to be planning this trip. I hope it will be a fantastic time for you all.
Making this kind of trip as a couple would be a feat...doing it with little ones would be more than a lot of parents would want to take on. Love your willingness to take on the challenge!
How exciting for you all! Yes I would definitely speak to and watch the Roaming Radfords tour of Morocco as they spent the whole Summer reviewing many sites. The Moroccan people seemed extremely friendly. I’m missing the heat of the sun ☀️ also and can’t wait to start travelling again next year in search of the sunshine ☀️ Have Fun.
Definitely watch roaming radfords. Morocco is safe but as anywhere just be cautious. You’ll have the big city’s where it will feel quite western. The motorways are good too and much cheaper than France. You guys should be fine
Not been to Morocco, but followed Roaming with the Radfords, definitely a vlog you guys need to watch, they had a blast and I think you can take a lot from the post they made. Enjoy the sun when you find it.
I have done Morocco a few times climbing in the Atlas Mountains. The people are generally very friendly in my experience. Being respectful is always a winner and Marrakesh is a must see especially the Souk. Road out of towns are ok however some of the mountain passes would be a struggle if busy. It will be a great adventure. Dave
Hi guys check if a tag for the tolls ( auto paying device in windscreen) will be better as you should be paying motor home / car rate and the tolls may be Charging you as a commercial truck due to size 🤔 check it out 👍
We are also on our way to Morocco, leaving Spain 4/5 Jan, 4th time.2 old codjers. We will be on a campsite in Mojacar for the next month,if you want to meet for advice get in touch.
I've just found you guys on YT and wanted to tell you how much I'm enjoying your videos 😊 We are going to Norway and Sweden in June in our Sprinter with our 5 year old but we are doing it in 3 weeks 😂 Watching you there has helped us figure a lot out. Thank you!
Not sure about africa. Truck stands out like a sore thumb, sadly I'd say asking to be robbed or held up. Fuel availability and quality too, rubbish fuel will clog filters quickly. Did think the kids look really bored stuck in the back and mrs looks tired.
got some do,s and don,t,s for you "if you go be VERY CAREFULL" do,s [TURN BACK A.S.A.P WHEN YOU GET SCARED] don,t,s ["DO NOT GO"]! Simple keep your family safe...
Hi good morning me and my wife did Morocco last year just to let you know that you can only stay a total of 11 weeks you must get your green card for the motorhome and also different insurance lots of paper work but we'll worth going there in no gaslow filling points I recommend you fill up in Gibraltar just before the ferry port there is a free park up at the Victoria stadium 5 minutes walk to Gibraltar . If I can help in enny way drop me a line ps marakesh is fantastic
I`ve Been , Plz just make sure Everything is secure. Even the wallet , phones etc. Snatch and gone ! Beautiful place i wasn't far from Marrakech. Went the market Awesome. Safe Journeys Guys . Hotel Not Driving so Enjoy...
Don’t know if you watched the roaming radfords they done morroco in a large motor home if not they are definitely worth a watch hope you enjoy your trip 👍
i work with a lad from africa, he says most of the time, you will have no bother, but don't leave vehicles unattended, bits have a habit of disappearing, like lights, wheels, etc after spending 4hrs in a loft [-1C], i am somewhat jealous, enjoy...
Hi guys I follow another family on here called the roaming radfords they've just done Morocco and filmed it maybe worth a look expecially as yous have a truck 😊
I travel to Morocco regularly for work mainly now to the Rabat area. Make sure you have cash is the main tip! Highway tolls don't like foriegn credit cards and 10 dirhams is the normal price for someone to watch your vehicle when you park. If you need any more info just ask!
The best advice we were given before our 2015 trip was to allow a week to bed in and get used to a different way and pace of life. There is no get you home AA recovery as such, but lots of people who can and will help you, two lads mended the side door spring by making a new one, and in a small shed we had a wheel changed and puncture repaired both repairs were at minimal cost and one pair of socks.
Be careful of children trying to climb under the lorry and hide in compartments, they want to get back into Europe for a better life. I saw this first hand years ago while on a Contiki in Africa, the poor desperate children chasing after our tour bus and climbing into the boot compartment it was so sad and horrible.
Fun and more fun starting on the adventure of a lifetime The Sahara seeing different amazing places experiencing different culture till the next video loving your vlogs ❤
@@Touringwiththekids now in Audalucia, went swimming in the sea this morning (we were the only ones!). Trip to the Alhambra tomorrow. The kids would love it.
Hi. Go via ceuta duty free diesel make sure your tank is very low. Dont pay for entry cards from touts.* Your children can open more doors than if it was just the two of you. If you are in a resteraunt dont be surprized to see a plate of chips that you did not order they are for the children. Morocians are very family orentated. Good luck and safe travels
We are not to sure, but my bucket list is to go and drive along the Sahara border. Make sure you buy your SIM cards from Carlos at the port in Spain before leaving, and as others have said cash is king
Great video guys. We're hoping to leave in the next 2 weeks, and heading to southern Spain. Maybe we can meet up , if you're still around?. Hope you've now managed to find some warmer weather🤞🏻. It's bloody freezing in the uk😂
What a great video. From rain and floods, to can't park her, to heading to South Africa. Rick and Kira, I think my head is spinning more than yours. Realy enjoyed the aquatic park you visited. If you want some sun come to Brisbane Australia. Start of summer and very hot. Mid to high 30s. Realy looking foward to Africa. You date stamped one clip. That was good, as we know how far into the future we are. Take care and see you in one week, way over the seas.
Evening Guys, Great to see you getting about, shame about the weather 😮. Can only agree with previous comments regarding check out the Radfords tour 👍. Hopefully you find the sun 🌞. Enjoy the rest of the trip 😊. Take care. Paul and Joanne 👍
Amazing video. Morocco is a beautiful place to go. I went on a beautiful walk and boat tour at Marrakech: Ouzoud Waterfalls Guided Hike and Boat Trip centre cost like £30 for family to get in when I went. I would Be carful around Morocco though I went there couple years back and got pick pocketed lost my phone one day and wallet the next make sure ya pocket are zipped or buttoned up.
Another fab vlog guys, looking forward to your Spanish adventure, I lived they for 18 years with my late husband had some awesome adventures in our motorhome, not as much fun going out alone now, but I'm making the effort to live on with our dreams xxxx
@Touringwiththekids There are a few reasons. They do help with grip and will make you less likely to fall in. However, the biggest reason is things like sharp rocks etc on the floor that can badly cut you. I have seen this happen so many times where people have thought there were no hazards in the water, so did not put shoes on then stood on something.
@angdrumm 0 seconds ago Wow, no tips I’m afraid but really looking forward to watching the adventure. Yours kids are so lucky to be able to have this experience.
The key phrase in this video was when you asked for viewers to give you ideas where to visit and then said, "but remember we're in the lorry". I commented when you first chose the Merc that I thought it was the wrong vehicle, and not because of any lack of driving skills on your part, just the physical size and that it is a truck designed for a single purpose. I commented at the time that a lot of those fantastic trips you had done with the motorhome and the beautiful park ups you had found in forests, by lakes and the sea shore were going to be incredibly difficult to repeat because of the limited access the truck would allow. I really do wish you well and hope I'm wrong on all counts, but the last couple of videos have shown that getting stuck on a grassy field takes more than a tractor to get you out and finding parking for overnight stops will take some planning. Best of luck on your travels.
Thankyou. Appreciate your concerns, but of course it's going to be more difficult and we have to be a little more selective. The extra inside space more than makes up for missing out on a few park ups.
We drove around Morroco a few years ago, Todra Gorge is brilliant, but it would be tight in your truck. Volubilis is a fantastic Roman ruined city which is well worth a look and you're truck will fit in the carpark fine there. Travel wise ensure you go to Tangier Med not Tangier city with the ferry.
Cool sounds exiting to go to Marocco and we ride along :-) . But first Spain, for to go to Morocco you have to go to the real south of spain. If have familie there in aquilas thats i the south beautifull place not to crowed in the winter its near Murcia but then at the sea. Very beautifull beach cauld La Playa Amarilla, look it up its stuning. And if you want to eat go to El Piemento, the best tapas delious and not expensive at all. Also Cartagena is nice to visit. Enjoy your week hope you find the sun again .
As always great video! Different question have you ever thought about doing full winter camping in snow like Switzerland or France and doing some skiing activities or tobogganing for little teddy!
This sounds awesome, you might definitely want to look into aircon units for the back or you will cook in there, love the channel guys and can’t wait to watch your adventure,
i did like watching your adventures but now there are too many adverts its like american television ads every two minuets and long ads at that sorry but im out wont be watching again
We know Ads can sometimes be annoying, but Ads provide us with a few pennies to help us continue making videos which are completely free for you to watch 👍

Great video as always. If I remember correctly the Moroccon customs don't allow you to bring drones into the country
Unfortunately that's right
Be careful 35 Wars in Africa. I was brought up in Rhodesia. Be wary at all time.
Be very careful with the children and be security savey. Chain your wallet to you better till a money belt.
Last, do not give money begging children. If you do you will be mobbed everywhere you go. Take water with you with bottled and water filters. Lovely part of the world. Secure everything.
In Maroco will be safe, many campers go down over. And the war is way down south miles away

Go work for stobarts as they also make mountains out of molehill !! You could doughnut that van around in that massive space !

Enjoy your show but I don’t think Africa is a good environment for 3 young children best of luck
Make sure you’re taking plenty of ad-blue and filtration for the Africa trip. A pre service would be advisable before the skip over.
roaming radfords check ther site out

Do you have the same speed restrictions and a limiter like commercial heavy vehicles (in Europe).
Roaming radfords would be the guy to watch or speak to they know the answers to most of your questions 👍
What a lovely life experience for you and the children travelling and sightseeing enjoying life. I wish you the very best for your future adventures.
Thank you so much!

Ahh amazing. I'm sure you are all going to love it. Norway especially! Just an absolutely incredible place. Glad the videos have been useful xx
Not sure about africa. Truck stands out like a sore thumb, sadly I'd say asking to be robbed or held up. Fuel availability and quality too, rubbish fuel will clog filters quickly. Did think the kids look really bored stuck in the back and mrs looks tired.
Ahhh it was a long drive that's all 🙂

It must cost a fortune to live like this you would have to have a lot of money behind you I'm jealous😢😂😂😂
Not as much as you might think! No council tax, no high energy bills, no mortgage.
You guys are so brave good luck will look forward to seeing you out there

It's Winter Rick, that's winter weather. Even North Africa is going to be wet and cold. Gwt your jabs! Be safe.
Go for it, how exciting. Following you all the way.
Thankyou 🤩😃
Roaming radfords will say “air con ”
Haha 🤣 totally different time of year, so we should be fine ☺️🤞
When are you going to put the side windows for the kids?
When we return to the UK, we had a delay sourcing them.
Fun and more fun starting on the adventure of a lifetime The Sahara seeing different amazing places experiencing different culture till the next video loving your vlogs ❤

Does Oceanopplis have an Arctic section?
It does yes 👍
We have just done the same trip, didn't get any good weather until the Pyrenees. Now in Spain, and enjoying days of sun.

As a watersports instructor it makes me so angry when people think it is ok not to wear shoes when on and in the water.
How come shoes are needed?
@Touringwiththekids There are a few reasons. They do help with grip and will make you less likely to fall in.
Thanks for the recommendations! gonna have a google now!
Thankyou!!! Looking forward to exploring Spain ☺️
Love the vlog,we were wondering how do you fund your journeys
As always great video! Different question have you ever thought about doing full winter camping in snow like Switzerland or France and doing some skiing activities or tobogganing for little teddy!
Maybe one day! Would certainly be good fun.
This sounds awesome, you might definitely want to look into aircon units for the back or you will cook in there, love the channel guys and can’t wait to watch your adventure,
It's winter so the temps should be fairly mild compared to summer time!
