Hong Kong university campus torn apart by deadly street battles

- Around a hundred exhausted, bedraggled young men and women are hunkered down in Hong Kong’s Polytechnic University, the scene of pitched battles between police and activists. (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News...)
Inside we found exhausted teenagers, stranded and desperate, worried as much about being arrested by police as by their parents’ reaction. Some of the protestors were ditching their distinctive black clothes, the uniform of the protest, to try and make a run for it. Others stay put, wanting to fight until the bitter end.
Tonight tension has flared up all around the city as other protesters try to distract police, hoping to give the stranded students a chance to break out.
More mass protests may be on the horizon too, as rumours swirl that, after months of chaos, the government is going to cancel this weekend’s election.
Distressing images.

Wow! This channel is a real deal!
I like how they report the news without bias, not like other big name news channels.
for example,bbc and cnn
Especially CNN they get a glimpse of the news & manufacture the rest
especially bbc
what do you mean "no bias" the reporter kept saying things like "prison of their own making" and "surprised they were still there" he was painting the pictures of them just being abunch of college kids who started what they couldn't finish and if you don't see that then you must be the target audience. That being said i still commend them for going to the front lines of this. Bottom line is all media has its bias you just have to look past it and see what the actual news is, it helps to get that from multiple sources.

Is there really no leader commanding this protester ? It would be amazing on how they can move as one like that without leader.

Haitian Xu I’m not sure what you have been reading but what you have just said is completely wrong. The deal means that the police aren’t allowed to brutalise the protesters, it limits the sale of rubber bullets and tear gas to the police that is the only thing that has ‘wrecked their economy’. This is one step closer to victory
the protestors made a huge gamble when they tried to take over HK Polytech. HK Polytech is located in Kowloon, across the harbor from HK island. It is their first real attempt to establish a foothold in Kowloon, which is physically located on mainland China. If successful in the takeover, than it would be a huge victory for the protestors. But it failed badly because the local Kowloon residents would not support them. About 800 protestors were arrested. Now the protest movement is now confined to HK island. It makes it much easier for China to deal with them.

So I'm an American who has never been to Hong Kong before. I support the Hong Kong protests. Now, I'm not looking to argue with people. Honestly the internet is used for ugly arguments that never go any where. I support the Hong Kong Police just as much as I support the protesters. I can't imagine what it's like to serve a city and be proud of your job as a police officer, only to have so many people turn against you because you are doing your job. But at the same time, the people of Hong Kong have every right to freedom, and it's not being given to them. The umbrella movement didn't work. When the world doesn't listen, people riot. I would point out there are many protesters who support the police and are peaceful. And I would point out that yes, the actions of the extreme protests are violent, but they shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. These hardcore activists seem to feel like violence is the only way to be heard, and that's awful.
