choose2basuccess2 if u can’t figure that out in your gut as a gift or talent you have perhaps you should rethink selling until you feel assured and confident in your own craft and artistic vision simple answer is follow ur heart it’s your design jump out and do it there isn’t a right or wrong way with art hence the word art just helping don’t mean it in negative way at all good luck
Kelly Richardson most people deal with epoxy after they seal the glitter. I wouldn’t put my mouth on the sealed part, everyone is using straws to drink from.
shanae jones if you lookup tumbler or cup tuners. People make them. Some use different ways to hold the cups. Like small footballs. But each person is different as to what they would like to use.
@AmberJohnson I found the fine glitter on hobby lobby website for the true lavendar, but not the chunky. Can you maybe find it online and provide a link? Thank you for sharing!
i have always taped at the top, but noticing more cups go to the top with glitter and epoxy. How do you keep epoxy from going into the cup. Do you do the rim with epoxy at all?
Kim's Gaede great question! So I go all the way to the rim and when I get to the rim I kinda smooth just a tiny bit over the rim. This makes sure the epoxy stays and doesn’t move away from the rim. When you apply more epoxy to the cup it goes where the epoxy is already at. So if you don’t get enough by the rim it will pull away. Once in awhile a tiny bit will get in the cup, but I use acetone to get it out and wash the cup really good. Hope that helps! Happy crafting!!
mimi b there are no set colors really to start out with. It’s really what you like or want to start with. So many to pick from I know, but once you start playing around you will find what works for you.
Elise Bowman you can use mod podge. Make sure it’s dishwasher safe. Although I would make sure to hand wash so it last longer. I like epoxy because it seals better and it’s smooth. With mod podge you will still feel the glitter.
Rita Campos ☺️ great question! As for anyone getting into the cup making business it can become somewhat expensive. Just remember you have to put money into a business to make money. So with that here are the basic items you will need. Stainless steal tumblers, a turner for your cups, epoxy. Depending on if you want to do with the cups, there is glitter to buy, waterslide paper, and fabric. Gloves, paint brushes to brush the epoxy on the cups and acetone to keep your brushes in to remove the epoxy. That way you can reuse them. The more you get into it the more you find items you need. It’s different for everyone. Also if you have Facebook I would suggest finding cup making pages to follow to help you along the way. Hope this helps and happy crafting. ☺️
Thank you for this. I already started and did it wrong, so I am going to apply the tips you teach and fix it. Thanks again!! You are wonderful!
Loved your video, tumbler came out beautiful. Can you tell me what kind/brand sealer you use, please?
choose2basuccess2 any sealer works. It doesn’t have to be a certain brand. I think I used rust oleum brand.
@@southernwondernc Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are appreciated.

This is the prettiest ombre I have seen!!
Robin Rakes aww thank you so much!
Yesssssss you did that!!!Beautiful.
toni sallis 😊 thank you!
Is it safe to drink out of the Tumblr once you put the glitter seal on
Kelly Richardson most people deal with epoxy after they seal the glitter. I wouldn’t put my mouth on the sealed part, everyone is using straws to drink from.
Thanks
What do you use to hold your little cups like that on the cup Turner
shanae jones if you lookup tumbler or cup tuners. People make them. Some use different ways to hold the cups. Like small footballs. But each person is different as to what they would like to use.
@@southernwondernc I am good with my set up for the 20 and 30 oz tumblers just trying to figure out what to use to hold the 10 oz
shanae jones you can use the same as the 20oz. A small football holds the same for a 10oz cup.
Cut Poole noodles work really well
How would we get in contact with you to have a small cup like this but done in different colors
Cherry Girl Fun sorry to say that I no longer make cups. Etsy has many people that make these. I hope you find someone to make you one.
Do you recommend brushing odf the extra glitter before doing the 2nd coat of glitter??
Vicki Sanders yes I sure do! I tap or brush off the extra once the mod podge is dry.
I always brush off my excess glitter. And I wait 30 mins between layers.
The orchid looks almost like a pretty pink but online it looks purple lol
Bria Nichole it is purple color. ☺️
Thank you so much for sharing! Really appreciate it 😊
Mich Mali you are so welcome! Thank you for watching!!
@AmberJohnson I found the fine glitter on hobby lobby website for the true lavendar, but not the chunky. Can you maybe find it online and provide a link?
Thank you for sharing!
Kelly Z the chunky may have been from Micheals or Walmart. It’s been a long time since I had bought that.
Very nice video
Does this same method work on cups that are already a color like dark grey or blue. Or do they have to be stainless steel?
Nicole Fuentes sure! I would imagine that the color glitter you use might change just a bit because of the color cup. But it should work! ☺️
Also try triple thick. Works better and dries fast. And it's great for sealing.
is triple thick dishwasher safe?
What do you use to seal your glitter?
Alice Starr I spray a clear sealer over the glitter.
What colors did you use on you personal cup! Its beautiful.
Priscilla Campbell they are all by Recollections and you can get them at Micheals craft store. Color names are Raspberry, Orchid, Muse.
Where can you buy these cups (any size) in bulk?
Taylor Bennett I get mine from Walmart. You can buy them bulk online on Walmart.com.
Where do you get the small cup from?
Jennifer Conway walmart carries 10oz, 20oz, 30oz and 40oz!!!

Thanks so much, I appreciate the tip.
Very welcome!
May I suggest you try a paint brush to put the glue on. It's easier to even it out. :)
aleasha collins thank you so much! I have since this video changed to a paint brush. Guess I might need to update this video 😊
I actually prefer foam brushes... paint brushes tend to leave streaks when I do mine
If I wanted to start selling glitter tumblers what colors of glitter do u suggest I start with, just to get going?
mimi b there are no set colors really to start out with. It’s really what you like or want to start with. So many to pick from I know, but once you start playing around you will find what works for you.
Thank you soooo much!!!
Do you have to use epoxy or can you just use modge podge?

Would triple thick work? It goes on smooth and is shiny
JordanEismont I haven’t used triple thick, so I can’t say how well it is with glitter. I’m sure it would work just fine. Happy crafting.
Amber Johnson thanks. I've used it on my wine glasses I made for Christmas this year I just didn't know if it was kinda the same thing for tumblers :)
JordanEismont I have always used epoxy with all my tumblers. I guess I need to try triple thick 😊. I have seen and heard many say they like it!!
I have a few questions can we text ?
Rita Campos hi! What would you like to ask?
Amber Johnson what is everything I need
Like a list of everything ?
