What a great result for a very simple, but well thought out original idea. Dennis, you made that guitar into what every Squier guitar dreams to be. Original and valued
From all the comments, I think you should do a lil overview of the materials used, and simple methods you used. This paint job is awesome!!! I'm looking to do a blue with a slight glitter on it, nice trick using the toothbrush to spread the glitter :)
+Carpe Diem Studio You should've printed some custom decals with the Fender logo and then your name under it. Then you just stick it on and clear coat over it. Woodeso has some good videos on how to do that.
I agree.... there are special ultra thin decals you can use to do a signature that look remarkably good and professional. I like his toothbrush splatter technique and it could be done in gold or chrome paint rather than white, for example.
To me it looks retro/ stellar with the classic pickguard. The beauty of strats is that they are almost like cars when they are painted; they end up looking very pretty and clean.
Why are so many people whining about the music and the signature? How sensitive and idiotic are people these days? It's just music, and it sounded good, and the paint job was just gorgeous and so cool! Christ. If you don't like the video, then just don't watch it.
Oh my gosh!! So beautiful! I'm a sucker for things spaced themed and now I want my ukulele to be spaced themed because I never knew that this could be done.
That paint job looks amazing :) Very well done it's cool that you can't even see the brush strokes after it has been clear coated, sanded and polished.
+Gacy x I slightly wet sand it after 2 thin coats of lacquer. Then I spray 3 more coats and wet sand it again. It takes lots of time to get mirror finish.
This is amazing I love it ...the people that disliked the video just can’t appreciate art, your custom galaxy guitar is unique and it’s one of a kind 👍
Sometimes people who are into tapping but arent into building hand strength go for really light weight strings and theyre super easy to bend when youre tapping unless youre being really careful and super focused on intonation. Theyre also easier to pull out of tune. That being said I use lighter strings.
@@k.g.847 Hi! So, the guitar being played in the audio is out of tune. The strings themselves are probably in tune to a tuner, but as you fret notes, the notes are out of tune. Someone above said it could be that the strings are super light guage and the fretting itself is sending the notes out. I'd be inclined to think it's the harmonics though. Hope that helps!
Hello! I'm the owner of the guitar and I wonder how much would you pay for it? After that paint I installed new TRACKHMANN pick ups and changed all parts (heads, bridge, saddles, whammy bar, pickup selector switch, volume and tone control knobs, and output jack)
Jacob Evans But it is a big deal for his reputation. Glenn Fricker and other professional rock/metal audio engineers would not want him in their studios because he is going to be too lazy to tune every take. If you are lazy, then don't record music. It takes a shit load of efford to make a good record.

One thing to note. Make sure that you let the clear coat cure (polyurethane or Polycrilic) at least one week (or even a month) so the VOCs fully gas out prior to final sanding and buffing.

Aiden Wagoner ..acrylic paint is most common and very durable. But anything will work as long as u let it dry very well. U can brush/spray graphics with water based acrylic , then spray 3 or more coats of clear on top after it dries. Try not to remove the sealer coat below the paint. Practice on scrap 1st. Good luck.
Wow, amazing. Actually I just recently bought a DIY guitar kit strat type and I’ve sent it to my friend for a paint job and he said to me he will be doing a glittery magic paint. Don’t know yet how it will turn out but I said to himI like blue colour. I’m excited as well to have my own customised guitar.
Cool stuff. What types of paints n clear were used? just wondering cause I had some hangups painting mine from bizzaro chemistry between the base colour n the clear.
I painted my own guitar many different ways the final gloss and type makes a big difference what did you use? I fear that painting the neck part of the guitar was a mistake and that would be dreadful to touch and play due to the usage of gloss that would cause more resistance when playing.
This makes me want to grab my guitar and shred it.. Then I remember that I have absolutely no talent at all lol
YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE IN YOURSELF

I thought it had charm to it. Surely didn't affect the awesome paint job at all
It almost seems a shame that the pickguard covers up so much of that beautiful paint job.
True - but maybe that's his next step - custom pick guards. It's where I'd go after such an amazing paint job.
paint a nebula or planet on the pick guard
Something i always hated about strat pickguards
To me it looks retro/ stellar with the classic pickguard. The beauty of strats is that they are almost like cars when they are painted; they end up looking very pretty and clean.
Clear pick guard ?
u must put Purple. coz its Crucial for a galaxy theme
she did put purple...

No I didnt. Think it ll be better with purple

It looks amazing! and don't listen to the people bitching about your signature because signatures should be unique and i think it looks rad. :)
Thx Shae :)

That guitar is absolutely stunning, great job. I'm speechless.
Could you add the products used with the time stamps? Would be real helpful!
Great paint job. I always LOL when I see a squier being pulled out of a hardshell that's worth more than the guitar in it.
Seriously the most awesome custom guitar I've seen on RUclips
totally wanna try this on my squier, thanks for adding the fine details with the painting

what paint you used?,a pylox or what?,and are its still possible if i paint like this in my acoustic guitars :D,please reply Sir :D
This is one of the best custom guitars I've ever seen
I watched 3 of your guitar paint job videos and they all look great.
Did you wet sand the brush paint before adding the clear coat? Looks nice. I think I would rather have an unfinished neck. But hey, It isnt mine. lol

I saw the video two or three times just to hear the soundtrackXD
You noticed that It's not in tune, right?
+Josh dM does it matter?.....as long as it sounds good its fine isn't it?
Well it doesn't sounds good, since every guitar is detuned
+Josh dM everything doesn't have to sound the same......I guess its all abt taste.....to me it sounded perfectly awesome
Well the pitch is not a question of taste, but if you don't hear the false notes, good for you
Wow, that came out beautiful! Id buy that.
Great idea and finish, shows you can do a great job if you have the skill and ideas!
Is anyone going to say anything about the tuning of the guitars in the song? It's beautifully written but jesus christ fix your intonation ; _ ;
Sometimes people who are into tapping but arent into building hand strength go for really light weight strings and theyre super easy to bend when youre tapping unless youre being really careful and super focused on intonation. Theyre also easier to pull out of tune. That being said I use lighter strings.
Haha i thought i was the only one cringing when so many notes were off
Can you elaborate what you mean?
@@k.g.847 Hi! So, the guitar being played in the audio is out of tune. The strings themselves are probably in tune to a tuner, but as you fret notes, the notes are out of tune. Would you ever take custom paint job orders?
Yes,this is one of the orders.Owner's name is painted on the headstock
+Carpe Diem Studio how much would this paint job cost?
Your paintjob costed more than the guitar?
Do use oil paint?
This looks awesome! Might do this when I get an Ibanez Rg9
Nicely done! The tones might actually inspire me to do a more tropical themed one, with the turquoise tones.
is cool but.. i never have the courage to disassemble my guitar
Tune up this guitars in soundtrack ! :)
