I'm binge watching the old videos! Lookie who's in this one! Hey Arron @thebestfamilyhomestead!! It's neat to see the house with the siding complete! Can't wait too see y'all finish the revealing/restoration to the logs!
My grandfather had an almost identical well at the edge of his back porch (near Ranburne, Alabama). He had modernized it with an electric pump, so he had running water in the house.
Boy, that was fun n so very cool. I too was amazed how clear that well was. I’m also amazed that they dug that n many more all my hand, wow! Thanks for sharing ♥️😊👍
The house I used to live in was build somewhere in the 1940s-50s and they still had that well with a hand spinner on it. Later on, around 80s, an automatic pump was installed. I still remember my fear that our cat might fall down there. Or me 😂😂🤣🤣
I bought the magnets, but I keep forgetting to put one together to do it. I even went to a couple of lakes this months, which is a rarity. I think the enamelware pot is just the usual cooking pot used a lot in the old days, but they could have been using it to bring up water. It looked like holes were drilled into the side for ropes. I use a pot like that now for beans and chicken and dumplings.
That's a porcelain stock pot. The hammer head is a ball peen and the design of them hasn't changed in a 100 years. If it was dug in 1860 probably used a wooden bucket.
@@deborahhamilton7873 I thought it might be a jackdaw, but on reflection, those birds are in the UK. Still hoping someone from that region will come forth with the bird's name!
As a kid I found a small circle of iron in the ground. I started digging around it. It turned into a long piece of steel going straight down into the ground. I finally got it out was 2 ft long or so with a smaller piece on the end. showed it to my dad who said it was a gun barrel! A few days later an elderly neighbor stopped by and we showed it to him. He got a odd look on hes face and said decades before that some one got murdered there and no one was caught and no gun found. He thought the gun must have been put down a toilet hole the way I found it standing straight up.
That is one well put together well and it's so deep really looks like fun, magnet fishing. I hope you find the confederate gold lol but i hear that's in Lake Michigan 🔦🔎🚙
I've never seen a water well in my life, seen photos and your video, totally cool. How deep is that well, and Is it always full of water?. Thanks for reading!.
Wow, that is one deep well! actually, very scary! This was a cool video ... I would never go down into something like this and would not like to crawl under a house ... lol Men are more brave!
Magnet fishin’ an old well...

Such an explorer. Thanks soooo much. You always make me smile. I cannot thank you enough. Keep Adventuring 👍💪from Alberta Canada
That looks like fresh spring water. You guys come up with the strangest but cool ideas. Keep Safe ❤ Keep Well ❤
Love it! The possibilities are endless in those old wells. Thanks for bringing us along! Now .... on to that abandoned 1800's graveyard! More!
I am so terrified of wells I could not breathe watching this!

Well water is great. Clean and ice cold. Wish I had one. But, I have drank it many times from other people's wells.

Magnet fishing is so addictive, I love it.
Fun watching, my eyes were glued to see what was on the end of the rope.
I love Magnet Fishing videos💜
The explorer spirit is alive and well! I love it!
So love Magnet fishing, so much fun to watch!😀👍
My house was built in 1833 just outside of Atlanta and I still have the hand dug well. I want to try this and see what could be down there!
I'm in Georgia..we have a well would love to do that.
I could watch you magnet fish all day!!! The suspense is riveting!!!
Thank you for all your hard work, Robert & team!!!
There is a channel on youtube that is JUST magnet fishing.
@@debraboyea7776 thank you! I will definitely check it out!!!
Fantastic video. So great to hear you all laughing. Love from Australia. Stay safe. Love you all. Xx

I would imagine there is an underground stream this well opens on - keeping the water clear & fresh. Hello from Ohio
Thank you for adventure at the old well ! Take care , stay safe and healthy with whatever you maybe doing next ! Doing well here in Kansas .

Great video, this was different. Surprised when you pulled out the garden tool. Wonder who dropped it in there. Now that's a mystery.
Great video was waiting to see if you got something historical but i guess the pot and hammer are enjoyed thankyou
the hammer is circa 1880 as it has a very small hole for the handle which is typical for that era,
Excellent workmanship built to last
A friend of mine had a well in their basement. Was doing some work around well. Found a body in the well.

My brother hand dug a well for my dad years ago when he was still a kid! Solo.
I do wonder the age of the hammer head.
Magnet 🧲 fishing is cool!
Man, looking down that narrow hand dug well, and thinking about having to dig a well myself...giving me anxiety! 🤣🤣🤣
I really have to get a magnet, looks like so much fun. Imagine finding a hammerhead down a well 🙂🙈🌊
Well, I don't how exciting I expected this to be. Rebel gold was not known to be magnetic.
I LIKE THAT MAGNET FISHING, VERY EXCITING! LIKE WOW!
Looks like a porcelain coated cooking pot, 1900s-1930s. Most likely they were using it to get water and it got dropped on accident.
All that fun, and you still manage to find time to go to work! ( What was that raucus bird in the background? Not the crow...a different sound.)
I wondered about that bird too???
@@deborahhamilton7873 I thought it might be a jackdaw, but on reflection, those birds are in the UK. Still hoping someone from that region will come forth with the bird's name!
I'd love for ya'll to magnet fish some deep rivers and lakes.
Dang! That was cool.
Wonder how many decent coins are down there ??
The crows were having a good time.
Very interesting

Wow, very shallow well. (my well is a little over 700 ft)
That well is scary.
Yes the birds are amazing 😍
Water looked good
A simple electrolysis set up will clean that hammer head up nice. Google it. It’s easy to make one.
We need to go metal detecting...
I love my little Olight but they just cost too much for me to just have a good sized one.
I would have dropped a go pro down first, there are a lot of things a magnet will not pick up, copper, silver, gold.
Good one
That is an old waterbath canner
At least you didn't pull up an old watch..with an arm bone attached..😂
Lol
I enjoy MF. The one you done at with Cody was amazing 🌳🍀🌳
Oh the work they had to do just to get along... No wonder kidnapped white kids never wanted to go back... Love your adventures! Be safe! 🙏🤗🇺🇸
Good luck 🍀
DO YOU HAVE AN UNDERGROUND LAKE
They hit a spring
At least it’s not an out house
Guess you guys haven't watched "" The Ring"
RIGHT!!!👀 😬😵🌚👻☠️
Exciting!
It seems well preserved Fishing spot 😂😂😂
I think I would have the water tested, you know, for heavy metal.
That would be a waste of a good well what your friend wants to do with it
Well you know that there were women living on that property😂😂
Hi
That pot is an old cyanide can
