It looks like the headers go from the manifold all the way to the slip on.(side note it was recently just stolen and recovered so I have to get it taken to the shop and I was considering having it all done at once)
Hi where did you get your mirrors ? Do they hit the tank at all ? Also did you have to get a power commander to go with your exhaust with a custom tune ?
Rider Read the mirrors are CRG - arrows. They do not hit the tank. You do not HAVE to get a tune, but it is recommended to utilize the new exhaust set up and run better air/fuel mixture. I went with Rabid bike auto tune :)
Hi Bam. I just picked up a 2018 Z900 two days ago. I love the bike but can't wait to put an aftermarket exhaust on it. I love the sound of your setup. Would I only need the Arrow racing header and SC project S1 titanium slip on exhaust? What kind of cost would one be looking at for those items? Is a tune needed as well for the fueling? Thanks!
Commenting here as I am also interested. I believe you just need headers and exhaust, as you said. Bam said in other comments it all fit perfectly. Looks like Arrow headers are $772, and SC1 Exhaust is $638. Looking at $1,410 USD (that isnt including install). EDIT: My other question is, does installing this full system require a power commander tune?
Thanks Jcizzle for the info. I ended up ordering the slip-on only for now and will see (hear) how it sounds. If it seems too tame, I'll go ahead and splurge on the racing headers. I talked to my friend who runs a Kawasaki dealership near me and he said a full system will need a power commander. I think an ECU kit flash could also accomplish the same if not better results than a power commander when doing a full system. Thanks for the update man. Most of the time in videos I see riders with just slip ons and it sounds great. For some reason the K900 in most videos with just a slip on seems way too tame still. Let me know how it goes with just the slip on! Would be nice to only have to throw the slip on in and be good to go. Things start getting pricey with headers + tune! :P

Hello Bam Austin, a question when installing the S1 exhaust and arrow headers, are the screws as they were originally? Is there any part of the header out of place? Thank you very much
Juan, No screws out of place. You will get a different bolt for the header bracket that is next to the sensor and rear suspension. It comes with the headers though. But this set up is truly bolt on. No drilling, no modifications, no bending. It all lined up perfectly for me with no issues :). Hope this helps.
How many baffle stage there is in the sc project s1? Because i’ve seen other videos that only had 1 layer instead of yours that has 2 layers , maybe you could pull it also? And if you can pull it too please can you make a videos? That would very helpful man thankss
Evan, the S1 slip on by SC project has 1 level of baffle. the inner ring is part of the design of the exhaust. So it gives the look there are multiple. Im not sure what other videos you have seen, but to my knowledge this is the only design on the S1 made for Z900. I would note that in Asia and some European markets there are common "knock off's" (replica's) that are not true SC project. That could also be one of reasons you see a difference.

Some bikes its different but with the Z and new emissions standards the Cat and "bread box" on stock headers really really muffles the sound a lot. There are a few people that have just added just the slip on and the tone certainly changes, but not really all that much louder. The headers really open up the sound change for this bike. Sounds sweet dose the Arrow header system come tapped for a oxygen sensor?
Hey there. Yes the arrow system has o2 sensor port and also comes with plug if you don't want to use it. I'm using the stock sensor at this time.
Thank you for letting me know. I have a Z900 RS arriving march 1st 2018 and I will be using Arrow headers and some kind of race can.
+Kawasaki Kid please please send pics. I can't wait to see the RS. I love the Z900
I do not collect it until March 1st. For sure as soon as i get it I will send images. Mine will be burned orange and bronze. Unless they have a nice green one released at the Milan show mid November. I hope they export them to the USA for you guys. Ride safe!
There are pics on kawasaki.co.uk and visordown.com. Be warned the military green one looks ugly.
