Cool. My dad was an air movements officer at Gutersloh 1970 -1973 and I was born up the road at Rinteln. According to my mother, I came into the world a little early because of a surprise demonstration of the dreaded beam in Goering’s tower by the officers mess to the wives. I have just asked my wife to buy Tony’s book for my birthday. I loved the story of the trip to Nairobi. I look forward to your posts. Cheers, Mark.
I believe the Russians did not recognise the Geneva Convention, nor probably did the Germans in relation to the Russians, so the treatment of POW's was unspeakably awful and lots of the poor buggers literally died of neglect, starvation or mistreatment on both sides. Thanks for this interesting video!!

I had to look up Göering's beam, but I can imagine that might be enough of a surprise to get babies moving 😄
Thanks for your support 😊
Wonderful story from men whose numbers are ever reducing. Thank you.
